学习目标:

一.知识目标

1.识记并运用词汇:friendship, hold, whether, personal等.

2.理解并运用短语:hold the line, right now, whether…or not等.

3.掌握并运用句型:

(1)Can you tell me where you’re from?

(2)Do you know if sally Maxwell has arrived?

(3)I asked your secretary whether she could come or not.

二.情感目标

通过中外两个学生的问候对话,加深中外之间的友谊,同时教育学生要乐于助人,珍惜友谊,培养学生互相关爱的情感,学会爱人和关心人。

三.学习策略:

通过自主学习,掌握本单元的基础知识与基本技能;通过小组讨论与探究,加强对宾语从句的理解与应用,从而熟练用于日常交际之中.

教学过程:

一.Warming up.

Ask the students to work in pairs. They may ask and answer the following questions:

(1)Where are you from? I’m from….

(2)How do you go to school? I go to school on foot( by bike ….)

(3)What did you do last night? I did my homework …

(4)This is Mary speaking. Who’s that speaking?.....

二.In put.

1.Listen and find out how many people you hear.

Teacher:

(1)Ask the students just to listen for the number of different voices, not the content.

(2)Play the recording once.

(3)Call back the answer from the whole class.

Students:

(1)Listen to the tape carefully and answer the questions.

(2)Check the answers with the whole class.

2. Number the sentences in the order you hear them.

Teacher:

1)Ask the Ss to do this individually, then check with a partner.

2)Call back answers from the whole class. Write their answers on the b lackboard, including variations.

3)Play the recording again for Ss to check.

Students:

1)Number the sentences in the order.

2)cheek the answer in pairs.

3)Listen to the recording and check .the answer.

三. Practice:

Ask the students to follow the conversation while the teacher plays the recording.

1. Everyday English.

Teacher:

1)Read the phrases and have the students repeat them chorally and individually.

2)Ask Ss to find the expressions in the conversation and underline them. Students:

1)Read the phrases following the teacher.

2)Find the expressions in the conversation and underline them.

2.Additional activity.

Teacher:

1)Ask the Ss to work in pairs to practice the conversation.

2)Ask them o repeat it, changing roles each time.

3)Have some pairs do the conversation for the whole class. Students:

3. Check the true sentences.

Teacher:

1)Ask the students to answer the questions individually, then check with a partner.

2) Call back the answers from the whole class, having one student ask

a question and another say if it is true or not.

Students :

1) Answer the questions and check in pairs.

2) Finish what the teacher asks.

四.Out put

1. Answer the questions about the words in the box.

Teacher:

1)Read the words and have the Ss repeat them.

2) Ask the Ss to answer the questions and then check in pairs.

3) Call back the answers from the whole class.

1) Read and write the words in the box.

2) Answer the questions and check them in pairs.

3) Correct the answers.

1) The students read through the sentences by themselves.
