SAT作文高分的秘密：

•篇幅：84%的作文篇幅在一页以上。在打分实践中，作文越长越容易容易分数偏高。

•书写：大多数作文书写公正，不练笔。但在打分实践中，用练笔写出的文章分数容易偏高。

•人称：有大约50%的作文在文中常常提到第一人称“我”。但在打分实践中，不用第一人称的文章分数容易偏高。

•作文平均分为7.2，得满分的学生大约占不到0.1%

SAT作文考查的能力：

•根据题目中的文章片段提出自己的观点develop a point of view on an issue presented in an excerpt

•用逻辑和自己阅读、学习、经验、观察来支持自己的观点support your point of view using reasoning and examples from your reading, studies, experience, or observations •遵循英语写作的习惯follow the conventions of standard written English

SAT作文评分规则：

6分：本类作文有可能含有少许小错，但总体看来能清楚一贯地显示出作者对写作技巧的掌握。典型的6分文章有如下特点。An essay in this category demonstrates clear and consistent mastery, although it may have a few minor errors. A typical essay

•能从题目讨论的问题有效地发展出自己的见地。通过适当的例子，推理，和其它证据支持自己的观点，表现出作者出色的批判性思维。effectively and insightfully develops a point of view on the issue and demonstrates outstanding critical thinking, using clearly appropriate examples, reasons, and other evidence to support its position

•优秀的谋篇和中心突出，清晰的展示出思路的前后一致和观点的层层推进。is well organized and clearly focused, demonstrating clear coherence and smooth progression of ideas •通过多样地、准确地和巧妙地使用词汇展示出语言上的技巧。exhibits skillful use of language, using a varied, accurate, and apt vocabulary

•句子结构丰富并对表达有良好效果。demonstrates meaningful variety in sentence structure •语法、用法、以及拼写、大小写、标点方面没有错误。is free of most errors in grammar, usage, and

•语法、用法、以及拼写、大小写、标点方面基本没有错误。is generally free of most errors in grammar, usage, and mechanics

4分：本类文章显示作者有足够的写作技能，尽管在写作质量仍有问题。An essay in this category demonstrates adequate mastery, although it will have lapses in quality. A typical essay

•能从题目讨论的问题发展出自己的见地，表现出作者具有批判性思维。使用的例子，推理，和其它证据比较合适。develops a point of view on the issue and demonstrates competent critical thinking, using adequate examples, reasons, and other evidence to support its position •总体看来，有谋篇并能围绕中心展开，在一定程度上展示出思路的前后一致和观点的层层推进。is generally organized and focused, demonstrating some coherence and progression of ideas

•能表现出语言运用能力，用词尚属适当，但是时好时坏。exhibits adequate but inconsistent facility in the use of language, using generally appropriate vocabulary

•句型上有一定的多样性。demonstrates some variety in sentence structure

•语法、用法、以及拼写、大小写、标点方面有一些错误。has some errors in grammar, usage, and mechanics

3分：本类文章显示作者有写作技能，但同时有下列一种或多种弱点。An essay in this category demonstrates developing mastery, and is marked by ONE OR MORE of the following weaknesses:

•能由题目讨论的问题发展出自己的见地，有一定的批判性思维，但能力不扎实。使用的例子、推理和其它证据不足。develops a point of view on the issue, demonstrating some critical thinking, but may do so inconsistently or use inadequate examples, reasons, or other evidence to support its position

•谋篇和突出中心方面有局限，思路的前后一致和观点的层层推进方面不完善。is limited in its organization or focus, or may demonstrate some lapses in coherence or progression of ideas •表现出不够成熟的语言运用能力，用词力度不够或用词不当。displays developing facility in the use of language, but sometimes uses weak vocabulary or inappropriate word choice

•句型上缺乏多样性。lacks variety or demonstrates problems in sentence structure

•语法、用法、以及拼写、大小写、标点方面方面有不少错误。contains an accumulation of errors in grammar, usage, and mechanics
