tellsWhether the song is popularAnd eXplain why you think it is interestingWhen talking about this topic, the first one that comes to my mind must be Hey Jude.It is a classic song by The Beatles. It is a song written by Paul. When his friend John divorced,he feared that John’s little son Julian could be upset because of his parents’ marriage. Therefore, he wrote the song to Julian to encourage him to face the difficulties in life and never give up.In some parts of the song, Paul also told some stories between him and his girlfriend. Therefore, at first, many people thought this song was for his girlfriend, and even Julian himself didn’t know this song was written for him.In terms of the reason why I think this song is interesting,as I mentioned earlier, when I listened to this song for the occasionally allow me to go there with my older cousin.I simply adore the hustle and bustle of the place.I don’t even mind having to wear a mask everywhere.I think it’s cool, and it isn’t weird at all considering that most people do it.I particularly like coming here to shop for presents and trinkets, since you can find something to suit any wallet, age or taste. The old and the new combine on the Yuyuan market to provide the best picture of the local life you can get.It is fascinating, to browse the stores, going both through modernhigh-end technology hubs, and small wooden houses where generation after generation have practiced the same craft or served the same signature dish since at least a few centuries back. These are one neXt to the other, making the contrast that much more evident.I sometimes simply enjoy sitting on the side of the street, eating a filled glutinous rice ball and listening to the bits and pieces of different languages that the tourists are flinging very interesting historic place and I have a great interest about his historic place.Though I have not visited this place in person, but I would definitely love to be there someday.I mostly learned get.The Condor, Steps ,Falling stairs, Temples, Sacred Rock, Llamas and other Animals, Inca Trail will all blow your mind and would remindyou that you are visiting one of the 7 wonders of the world. This is an interesting place due to the vast area and iconic meaning of the Inca civilization. There are a lot to see, a lot to do and enjoy and being at one of the 7 wonders of the world is something a visitor will never forget. This place takes us to the past, in the time when Inca nation were there, and taught us how advanced they were as they have been able to build such a place with virtually no technological advancement of modern technology.雅思口语part1范文(篇十一)is your opinion about the phenomenon that many people like to plant vegetables by themselves? Its a very common and healthy way for people to eat vegetables planted by themselves.I think theyre mostly based on the considerations that the environment we live in has been polluted heavily and there are severe food security problems in China.People are fearing that they may get sick by eating polluted food outside.do people like houses attached with garden?Firstly, I guess its because people are like rare things as there is a huge population in China and people are mostly live in apartments, it is very seldom for people to live ina house with garden. The second reason I can think of is that nowadays people mostly work among skyscrapers and itll be very comfortable and released for them to see green stuff back home.you often go to visit gardens? No, not really, I think thats probably because there are few gardens in the downtown area.there any houses or apartments with gardens?Yes, there are houses with individual gardens and they are mostly in the rural area.As for apartments, usually there is a garden in the middle of the neighborhood.houses, is there any other types of housing with gardens?Eh, No, I don’t think so.I only know about apartments and housesabout organic food?Organic food is very popular nowadays because people today pay more attention on healthy, natural and nutritive food material.which occasion would people use flowers to decorate in China? On occasions when people move into a new house or a important guest in coming to pay a visit.flowers be utilized under other conditions? When you visit a patient in the hospital or pay respect to the dead in a cemetery.parks sell tickets? No, I dont think its reasonable for parks to sell tickets cause parks are public green space for people who live nearby to walk and get some fresh air.And its usually constructed and run by government, which means citizens have already paid for it by taXes.So, I dont think its appropriate for parks to sell tickets. They should be free to the public.雅思口语part1范文(篇十二)Describe a historical building in your country. You should say:where it iswhen and who you went withwhat it is likeand eXplain why you think you wanted to visit it.I don’t think you can talk about historical buildings in China without mentioning one of the most recognizable buildings in the world, the Great Wall.It is located in the north of China, with some parts close to the capital, Beijing.I visited it with my parents and siblings during a summer vacation a few years ago.Unfortunately this is peak season asthe weather is glorious and people like to travel during this period, so it was jam-packed.The Great Wall is one of China’s premier tourist attractions and as such is a major draw. The Wall itself was fantastic. As it is an ancient structure, parts of it are ruined due to the effects of time, but other parts have been reconstructed for tourists in order for them to see how it would have looked, as well as making it safe to climb. When you look out across the hills and mountains, it seems to go on forever, as far as the eyes can see.I wanted to visit the Great Wall as it is an iconic building in China, no trip to Beijing is complete without a jaunt out to the Wall.As far as I’m concerned it has a timeless quality and I could spend all day walking up and down it.It was voted one of the Seven New Wonders of the World and people say it is visible from space, although this is actually a misconception.雅思口语part1范文(篇十三)it good for children to take part in the teamwork?a leader important for teamwork?are the disadvantages of teamwork?one do you prefer, project-based teamwork or function based teamwork?is necessary for people to be good team members (not leader)?Sample answers:, I think so.Children cannot always work alone and many tasks and projects can only be accomplished through collective efforts. Also, in the future, no matter in their college life or in their career, they may be required to work in a team. But,the problem is that children tend to be more self-centered than adults and when they are very little kids, they usually do not know how to cooperate with others. So, if chances are provided, children should take part in the teamwork, trying to help each other, figure out solutions and improve their cooperation skills., of course. There should be someone to make final decisions and lead the team in the right directions.Although teamwork does have the advantages like less individual responsibility, less workload and so on, it does have the problems that some thoughts might conflict with others. The whole project may reach a plateau. If a leader is elected, he/she can make decision to take whose ideas, eliminating the conflicts.teamwork, it is hard to allocate the tasks equally to everyone. Some team members may feel unfair. For eXample, to writing a research paper, a team member may be responsible for collecting related information; another team member may beassigned to do some eXperiments. It is likely that collecting information is very difficult, while finishing the eXperiments is comparatively easier. So the one who searches for information may feel unfair.prefer function based teamwork. You know, in a function based team, everyone’s duty is clear-cut.Many redundancy can be reduced in this way.For eXample, in the app team, there might be 2 Android engineers, 2 IOS engineers, 1 project manager and 1 editor.According the titles of these positions, you can see that this is a function based team.I think less redundancy means higher working efficiency.think a good team member should have strong sense of responsibility. He or she has to make every efforts to accomplish his or her duties with high efficiency and quality. Thus, the leader doesn’t need to spend too much time on supervising his/her team members, taking more time to make important decisions and formulate blueprint for new projects. Thus, the whole team’s performance can be greatly enhanced.雅思口语part1范文(篇十四)you send gifts to others quite often?kind of gifts are popular in your country?there some special gifts in your country?are the difference between the gifts sent nowadays and those sent in the past?you have a child, when will you give presents to him/her?do you feel about receiving an eXpensive gift?Sample answers:really.Only when someone invite to their home or attend some kind of celebrations will I send gifts to others. For eXample, when one of my friends invited me to attend her wedding,I sent her a microwave oven as a gift. And usually, Chinese prefer to give red envelope with 500 RMB to 2000 RMB to the inviters instead of sending gifts. In this way, the inviters can use this amount of money to purchase whatever she/he likes.a common visit, we tend to send fruits, cookies and the like to the host. You know, most of people like to eat this kind of things. And we don’t want to send something the host doesn’t like.So food is always one of the best choices. For some important occasions like wedding ceremonies, we prefer to send household appliances as gifts. To conclude, Chinese are more willing to send necessities as gifts.my point of view, red envelope seems to be one of the special gifts in China.Every time when we celebrate ChineseLunar New Year, the elder would give red envelope to ually, within these red envelopes is money, ranging from 100 RMB to several thousand RMB.This money is called lucky money. The elder hopes the luck money can bless the kids have a lucky, happy new year.the past, like my parents, usually sent health products to the old as gifts. In their view, these products did good to people’s health. However, notion of health has undergone great changes.People start to recognize that most of these products eXaggerated their pesticide effect and some of them even have many side effects. As a result, nowadays people send other kinds of things such as fruits, cookies or household appliances as gifts.would give presents to him/her when he she celebrate for birthdays or for some other important events. For eXample, when he/she graduates from university, I would send him/her a business suit as presents. You know, after graduation, he/she has to look for a job and take lots of interviews.A business suit is necessary for interviews, which might leave employers good impression of the interviewers.depends on who send me this eXpensive gift.If one of my friend, not a close friend, send me an eXpensive gift, I wouldfeel a little bit nervous. And maybe later,I would send something back. However, if my parents send me a MacBook, I will not feel a great burden. You know, in Chinese cultural, how much eXpensive gifts you send depends on the relationship between you and the receiver.Too much or too less are both improper.。

雅思口语描述城市喜欢的地方英语范文

雅思口语描述城市喜欢的地方英语范文

雅思口语描述城市喜欢的地方英语范文As for my favorite place in the city, I would have to say it's the bustling downtown area. There's just something about the energy and excitement of the city that I find really invigorating. The tall buildings, the busy streets, and the mix of people from all walks of life really make it a vibrant and dynamic place to be.One of the things I love most about the downtown area is the amazing diversity of restaurants and cafes. There's such a wide variety of cuisines to choose from, and I love being able to try new and exciting foods from all over the world. Whether it's a cozy little coffee shop or a trendy new bistro, there's always something delicious to discover.Another thing I really enjoy about the city is the abundance of cultural attractions. From museums and art galleries to theaters and concert halls, there's always something interesting and thought-provoking to see and do.I love immersing myself in the arts and learning about different cultures, and the city provides countless opportunities for that.In addition to the great food and culture, I also love the convenience of living in the city. Everything I need is right at my fingertips, from grocery stores and shopping centers to public transportation and entertainment venues.I feel like I have access to so many resources and opportunities that I wouldn't have in a smaller town or rural area.Overall, the city just has so much to offer and I love being a part of it. From the lively atmosphere to the endless possibilities for exploration and adventure, it's a place that I feel truly alive in.至于我在城市最喜欢的地方,我必须说它是繁华的市中心地区。

And the portions are so big.But we are attracted to this restaurant by more than just good food. It proves that "Small is beautiful". The owner knows most customers on a first-name basis. (When it comes to eating, I immediately associate the Lao Sichuan restaurant. I often have lunch there with my friends)It’s close to our school, starting from the teaching building only need 15 minutes. Although it covers an area of small and the decoration is also not luxurious, it always gives a person a kind of comfortable and clean feelingThe Lao Sichuan is well known for Saliva Chicken and steamed fish.Every time when we visit there, we must order those dishesI always enjoy a visit the Lao Sichuan for a number of reasons.Firstly, the food is of a good quality and well prepared. For example, they prepare only fresh fish, which they purchase at the fish market.Secondly, the servers are always friendly, polite, and helpful. What I mean to say is that they will advise you on any specials on offer, and they tend to any need you may have swiftly and efficiently.Thirdly, the restaurant is always spotlessly clean. Therefore, I never feel embarrassed toinvite my family, friends, or foreigners to join me there for a meal.Lastly, it is situated conveniently near our university. It means that I am able to take my girlfriend there after dark, without fearing that we will be in danger on our way there and back.例:Describe a restaurantThe best restaurant here, in my opinion, is in a big shopping center which is situated in the one of the busiest areas in Guangzhou. It’s called Pizza hut. I doubt if Pizza hut can be called a good restaurant in the Western world. But here in China, it can really outshine many other restaurants.Pizza hut has a widely varied menu, from pizza to pasta ['pɑ:stə], from bread to rice, and my favorite, appetizers ['æpitaizə]. I think the food there can please so many different mouths. Pizza can be one of those well-balanced meals with a great number of ingredients [in'gri:diənt]in it. But funny enough, many people in China still consider pizza to be unhealthy.Experience sometimes is as important as the taste of food. I like Pizza hut because of its friendly atmosphere which can encourage return customers. In addition, Pizza hut has the best interior [in'tiəriə] design of its kind giving the diners upscale ['ʌpskeil] dining experience. We have a curious ['kjuəriəs] situation in Pizza hut that people tend to talk in a low voice and that fits me just well.例:Describe the ideal house that you would like to live inMy ideal house is one located in the countryside, and it would be just like an average house, nothing too fancy ['fænsi]. I want to live close to the nature coz I can enjoy fresh air and feel relaxed in that environment. It would be a two-storey ['stɔ:ri]house built along a smooth blue lake, sometimes with gentle waves. Inside, there are a couple of cozy ['kəuzi] bedrooms, a bright living room, a well-furnished ['fə:niʃt] kitchen, and some bathrooms. I will equip [i'kwip] the kitchen with a lot of modern appliances [ə'plaiəns], such as a fridge [fridʒ], a dishwasher ['diʃ,wɔʃə] and a microwave. In the living room, there are some armchairs ['ɑ:mtʃeə], a sofa, a table and something like that. And TV is a must in the living room. Then the bedrooms are furnished ['fə:niʃ] with beds, desks and stereo ['stiəriəu] system. So, it is the one have been dreaming of.例:Describe a hotel you visited (you once lived in) or have seen. You should say:Where it wasWhat the name of the hotel wasWhat the hotel looked likeWhen it comes to hotel, the XieCheng flower hotel is probably the one that I would like to talk about the most. It is a not famous hotel which only has 2 floors and Less than 100 rooms, located in the center of Xi’an’s business district.Although it covers an area of small and the decoration is also not luxurious [lʌk'zjuəriəs], it always gives a person a kind of comfortable and clean feeling['fi:liŋ].The hotel was constructed by concrete [kən'kri:t] and steels [sti:l], covered by glass outside. In front of the building, there is a big flower bed. In general, it looks really classical ['klæsikəl], just like a beautiful garden.Inside of the hotel, it features a folk cuisine [kwi'zi:n] restaurant and has modern conferences and meetings facilities. All rooms and suites are equipped with AC, cable TV, internet access, telephone, and almost everything you need. What impressed me most is its wall painting. Almost everywhere, including all rooms and suites, halls and stair corners, decorat ing with distinctive[dis'tiŋktiv]abstract['æbstrækt] paintings, which give people a kind of contemporary [kən'tempərəri] mystery ['mistəri].So far as I know, the china world hotel is the most luxurious hotel I have ever seen in BJ. It is an international 5 star hotel which has 21 floors and more than 700 rooms, located in the center of Beijing's business district ['distrikt]. It is used to welcome distinguished[dis'tiŋɡwiʃt] business and government leaders as well as travelers visiting the capital of China. The hotel was constructed by concrete and steels, covered by glass outside. It looks really magnificent [mæɡ'nifisənt]. (Grand, splendid)Inside of the hotel, it features modern Euro ['jʊərəʊ] cuisine restaurants and has the largest conferences and meetings facilities in Beijing. All rooms and suites are equipped with AC, cable TV, internet access, telephone, and almost everything you need. What impressed me most are its comprehensive [,kɔmpri'hensiv] sports facilities. It has got a big indoor swimming pool, a hi-tech fitness center and two simulative[si'mjuleitiv] golf-courses which provide good recreations [rekri'eiʃ(ə)n] and entertainment for the guests [gest].Now, the hotel has already become a landmark['lændmɑ:k]building in BJ, and provides excellent ['eksələnt] services to people all over the world. I hope one day I can have lunch in it.例:Describe a river in your hometownyou should say:where it iswhat it looks likewhat do people often do thereand explain why you like this river. When it comes to a river in my hometown, what worth mentioning is the MoYangJiang River. The river originates [ə'ridʒəneit] from YunFu and flows across YangChun and northern part of YangJiang into the south China sea, which is considered the largest runoff ['rʌnɔf, -ɔ:f] coefficient [,kəui'fiʃənt] rivers (径流系数)of Guangdong province. It is pretty ['priti] deep, and sometimes as peaceful as a mirror ['mirə], flowing gently ['dʒentli], but sometimes rather torrential[tɔ'renʃəl]. The water was as clear as crystal['kristl]in my early memories ['meməri], and the surroundings [sə'raundiŋz] was quite nice, air was fresh, dwellers ['dwelə(r)] would take a stroll [strəul] after meals, young couple often rambled ['ræmbl] under the setting['setiŋ] sun, kids running ,birds singing and flying here and there. I love the power of nature and the friendly atmosphere ['ætmə,sfiə]that people create [kri'eit]. I once went there to join a picnic ['piknik] when I was a junior ['dʒu:njə] student, my classmates and I got totally intoxicated [in'tɔksikeit]. Sadly, it is reported that the water quality has gone worse in recent years due to human activities [æk'tiviti] and industrial [in'dʌstriəl] development. It is a shame that our beloved river is losing its unique [ju:'ni:k] beauty and tranquility træŋ'kwi ləti]. By no means should people go fishing and swimming there, or even litter ['litə]around regardless [ri'gɑ:dlis] of the law and responsibility for the environment [in'vaiərənmənt]. I truly believe that the water quality of Mo YangJiang River will become better if taken good care of. It is high time we have a sense of awakening [ə'weikəniŋ] and be a responsible individual, as well as treasure ['treʒə] everything nature dedicates to humanity.例:Describe a place with water resources [ri'zɔ:siz]Well, Guangzhou city is located in the Pearl [pə:l] River Delta so it has many rivers running through it. The most famous is, of course, the Pearl River. It has been used for hundreds of years for transporting['trænspɔ:tiŋ]and trading of goods. There are many other smaller waterways which can also be used for commerce and other things like fish farming, agriculture ['æɡrikʌltʃə] etc.For me the Pearl River is a place to visit in the evening when the lights of the buildings are turned on and make it a very beautiful scene [si:n]. It’s very popular for tourists ['tuərist] to have dinner by the river and for couples to take romantic walks. There are also several boats that take tour [tuə] groups up and down the river. You can eat dinner aboard [ə'bɔ:d] and take a night cruise [kru:z]. I’m not sure how clean the water is but I see many old men fishing in the river so I guess it is fine. I also see people flying kites and enjoying the cool breeze [bri:z] and the shade of the willow ['wiləu]trees. It’s one of my favorite areas ['ɛəriəs] in Guangzhou and I often go there with my friends.例:Describe a park (in your city/in your country/you’d like to visit, you have been to) The first park that came into my mind is the park along the Pearl River side but I can’t recallthe actual name of the park. It’s not spectacular [spek'tækjulə] but it sure can afford views of the Pearl River which has been used for hundreds of years for transporting and trading of goods. This little park can offer escapes [is'keip] from the city and opportunities for people of all incomes to relax, play and socialize ['səuʃəlaiz].The gateway ['geitwei] of the park looks so much like a small garden which accommodates [ə'kɔmədeit] a variety [və'raiəti] of trees and flowers. I am not able to tell their names, I can really appreciate their beauty though.I guess most people go to park in the daytime for quiet reflection when there are fewer people. I saw [sɔ:] some people flying kites and enjoying the cool breeze and the shade of the trees during the day. But this park is definitely ['definitli] a place to visit in the evening when the lights of the park are turned on and make it another very beautiful scene. From the park you can see people having dinner and couples taking romantic walk by the river.例:Describe a garden (in your city/in your country/you’d like to visit, you have been to)You know China has more people than land so there are not many gardens here. The only garden I have noticed before is a garden built as the gateway of a small park by the Pearl River side. The garden accommodates a variety of trees and flowers. I am not able to tell their names, I can really appreciate their beauty though. I guess most people go to gardens in the daytime for quiet reflection. I saw people flying kites and enjoying the cool breeze and the shade of the trees in the garden during the day. There are some tables and chairs set by the coffee shop nearby in the garden. So people can enjoy sweet [swi:t] scents [sent] and blossoms ['blɔsəm] over a cup of coffee. The little garden serves [sə:v] as an escape from the city and it provides a limited but wonderful place for people to relax, play and socialize. Because the garden is just beside the Pearl River, you can see people having dinner and couples taking romantic walk in the evening. Also the boats that provide dinner and night cruise to tourists sail [seil] up and down the river. The view is fantastic [fæn'tæstik].例:Describe an interesting buildingDescribe a shopping center/leisure center/coffee shopDescribe a leisure area you like to go to// a place you often go to have funThe most interesting building, I’ve been to, is the one called Teem [ti:m] mall in Guangzhou which contains several shopping centers. It is situated ['sitjueitid] in one of the busiest areas in Guangzhou. Although there are other shopping malls around, I think Teem mall outshines all of them.First of all, Teem mall is compact, I mean it is not huge [hju:dʒ] but it has everything youneed from fashion boutiques [bu:'ti:k] to book stores, from supermarket to department store, from restaurants to coffee shops, from video game center to Movie Theater['θiətə(r)], which is the main reason why I often go there.Second, the quality is generally guaranteed [,gærən'ti:d] in a place like Teem mall [mɔ:l]. It’s not a bargain ['bɑ:ɡin] -friendly shopping paradise ['pærədaiz], but you get what you pay for. The only downside of Teem mall is that on weekends it has way too many people so that it can sometimes be packed as a bus. So I just go for a casual ['kæʒjuəl] stroll at times or sit down with my friends in the coffee shop. Well you have more than one choice for coffee shop there; it’s still difficult to find a table in the rush hour though.例:Describe natural scenery ['si:nəri]I once visited a national park in XXX. The park was like a paradise so we decided to stay there for two or three days. The second day was very hot so we went to have a short trip to the mountain because usually the temperature in mountain is much friendlier. The mountain is equipped with a pristine ['pristi:n]bushland ['buʃlænd]. Actually the whole region is very densely ['densli]forested ['fɔrəstid]. When we snaked [sneik]around the mountain we went pass a few streams[stri:m]and waterfalls['wɔ:təfɔ:l]. We stopped beside one relatively ['relətivli] large waterfall for a short break [breik]. The waterfall cascaded [kæs'keid] about ten feet and into a shallow ['ʃæləu] pool. The water was crystal clear so we took off our shoes and stepped into the pool in order to get closer to the waterfall. When I stood beside the waterfall I could feel that I was surrounded by tiny ['taini] water drops and I was completely cooled down. I felt so comfortable that I didn’t even want to go any further. I think sometimes a less breathtaking scenery can also be very impressive [im'presiv].例:Describe a museum [mju:'ziəm]Well I don’t usually go to museums. Although many people believe that museum is an ideal [ai'diəl] place for learning, I find them boring most of the time. The only museum I can still remember is the one in Guangzhou. I guess they call it Guangdong Science Museum. All museums serve to popularize ['pɔpjuləraiz] some knowledge to public and support education in schools. The Guangdong Science Museum, in my opinion, does a good job because it provides an enjoyable environment through presenting quality exhibitions [,eksi'biʃən]and fun science programs. In contrast ['kɔntræst] to traditional [trə'diʃənəl] museums, this museum encourages visitors to put their hands on, eyes on, ears on and minds on the exhibits. I reckon ['rekən] nearly 70 percent of the exhibitions are all interactive [,intər'æktiv] and suitable for visitors of all ages. I don’t quite remember but I’m pretty much sure that there over 500 exhibits in the four-storey museum. The most prominent ['prɔminənt] one that left me a very deep impression is a huge energy ['enədʒi]machine. When activated['æktiveitid], the machine will trigger['triɡə]a series of fascinating['fæsineitiŋ] and spectacular visual ['vizjuəl] and audio effects [i'fekt].关于big placedescribe a historical site/place(tip:是?在哪里的?你咋知道的?外围如何的?内部如何的?人们在那里干啥?评价)describe a place//a city you like to visitdescribe a noisy placedescribe a peaceful/quiet placedescribe a leisure area you like to go to// a place you often go to have fun例:Describe an important historical place. You should say:What it is.Where it is.Why it is important. If I had to describe an important historic place, I would choose Yuexiu Park in the city of Guangzhou. I am not sure if you have heard of it before. It consists of vast[vɑ:st] gardens and lakes, and it also houses the tomb[tu:m] of an emperor['empərə] from the South Yue Dynasty[''dainəsti]. That is to say, it is not just an historical[his'tɔrikəl] site, but also a beautiful and peaceful place, and always-worthwhile visiting. It is situated in the north of the city, and can be reached easily from the city center as well as from the university. For example, there is a bus stop in front of the main entrance to the Park. There are several reasons as for why I would like to talk about Yuexiu Park as an historic [his'tɔrik] place. Allow me to explain by mentioning some of them briefly. First of all, I believe history is important to any family, city, or nation. In other words, we should know where we come from. What I mean to say, is that Yuexiu Park houses many historical buildings like the tomb of an emperor from the South Yue Dynasty[''dainəsti] that remind us of where our roots are. Secondly, historic places are a useful tool in the education of our children. For instance, we can take them to visit the Park and explain to them what it consists of. They are then able to experience the place first hand which will make a lasting impression on them. I believe this is much better than taking them to some boring museum. So, those were some thoughts on one of my favorite historic places.Well, temples ['templ] are usually symbols ['simbəl] of long histories and rich cultures. It’s hard to calculate['kælkjuleit]exactly the number of temples in China. There is one little temple in my city. I’d say it’s a Buddhist ['budist] temple because there are some monks [mʌŋk] working in the temple. You know, China has many different religions [ri'lidʒən], sometimes a temple can be Taoist ['tauist].Normally a Buddhist temple has a bell tower and a drum [drʌm] tower at both sides of the entrance. And there are four heavenly kings too. But that temple is too humble ['hʌmbl] to have those things. People often relate temples and monks to traditional Chinese Kungfu, but in fact only a small proportion [prəu'pɔ:ʃən] of monks know Kungfu and they’re not in the temple we are talking about. Basically, the temple doesn’t have much to explore. Nevertheless, there are visitors every now and then so I reckon there are something worth seeing about the temple apart from the potbellied ['pɔt,belid] Buddha ['budə] statue ['stætju]and the run-down building. It’s a shame I don’t know too much about the temple’s background so I can’t give an intriguing [in'tri:giŋ] story today.例:describe a place//a city you like to visitThere are many beautiful cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and so on,I have been to many of them before, but Beijing is the only city I'd like to talk about for tons of times without feeling bored.Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the country’s political [pə'litikəl], economic and cultural center. Beijing is located in the northern part of the North China Plain [plein], surrounded [sə'raund] by mountains on the north, east and west. It covers an area of 16,800 square kilometers. Beijing blends [blend] the traditional outlook and the spectacularview of the modern metropolis [mi'trɔpəlis]. The architecture ['ɑ:kitektʃə] of the Imperial[im'piəriəl]Palaces ['pælis] of the Ming and Qing dynasties has been well preserved. There are so many historic places such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of heaven ['hevən], the Temple of Earth and the Summer Palace. In a word, Beijing is not only the modern political, cultural and educational center of China, but holds the biggest collection of ancient sites and relics ['rɛliks] in the nation. Therefore, Beijing is really a great place for travelling例:Describe a noisy placeWell, in this society, when people are hustling ['hʌsliŋ] and bustling ['bʌsliŋ] here and there, it is rather difficult to find a very quiet place to enjoy ourselves. And around the places such as an airport, a bus station, a construction site, the noise is sometimes even unbearable. Unluckily, my home is just beside one, the construction site for one metro['metrəu] exit in Guangzhou. You know, since the April last year, the city government launched[lɔ:ntʃ] this great project to build the metro system in GZ. You know, it is a project that is allowed by the government to do even at night, so from then on, we have been suffering from the noise day and night. At the first stage, the original[ə'ridʒənəl] buildings on the site were pulled down and the ground was dug deep, which produced the shocking noise, even sometimes made us feel like a small earthquake outside. You know the knocking on the original concrete, the separating of the steel, the clearing of the land, the running of the construction trucks, wow, just too much noise. And later, the cutting of the iron['aiən] and steel, the stirring['stə:riŋ] of the concrete, the running of the machines, the moving of those construction material, all aggravate['ægrəveit] the noise around us. Life is not just a nightmare['naitmεə] for us, since it is so hard to fall asleep every night. But it seems that all of us living around are now trying to bear this. We all hope that the project can finish soon, so that we could not only enjoy our quietness, have a good sleep, but also take advantage of the convenience brought by the metro system, not to say smile at the increase of the price of our real estates[i'steit] along with it.。

1. Describe your living place
My ideal house is one located in the countryside . I want to
live close to nature , because I can enjoy fresh air and feel relaxed on weekends . I want it to be a two - storey house built on a green - covered mountain , facing a blue lake . A path lined by bushes and flowers leads the way to the front door . And around the house there are apple and cherry trees . I really care about my bedroom , where I am going put in a king size bed . The sitting room was on the second floor with a balcony facing the sea . I fancied that house at the
first sight , and it was the one I had been dreaming of .
2. Describe your study room
In my home , my preferable room is the study room . I painted my study room in light green which is seen as good to eyesight . I use a red carpet to decorate the floor , because red is my favourite
colour . It represents passion and youth . At one corner , there is a piano . In my spare time , I always like to play it and refresh
myself . A bookcase made in wood is placed right beside the piano . I put nearly 200 books on the shelf in the order of alphabetical order . By reading them every night , I have greatly enhanced my knowledge . As well as reading books , Id like to play some light music with m stereo which is put on the floor directly . I have a three - dimensional CD rack sent by my friend . It can take as many as 100 CDs , I especially enjoy picking up new CDs from the CD shop to cram
it . Now , I have nearly 80 CDs . Well , thats my study room , not very large but gentle indeed .。
