China's energy security problems and response measures

Abstract: With economic development and industrialization, accelerated urbanization, China's growing demand for energy, but many are non-renewable energy, we also face the serious problem of energy shortage. In this paper, in several aspects of energy security, China is faced with major issues and solve the energy crisis caused by a variety of measures.

In the 21st century, China's national economy maintained strong momentum of rapid development.People's living standards are improving. And the demand for energy is increasing, Our contry’s oil production of about 165 million tons, 1.6 billion tons of coal production, but still can not meet the national economy the needs of rapid development, China has become a net oil importing countries, imports of 9000-10000 tons of oil annually. The world also face the grim situation of energy cking of energy may cause serious consequences, we must have

a clear head, a sense of crisis and urgency.

1 The problems of energy security of our country

1.1 Continued growth in energy demand great pressure on energy

supply

China is in the industrialization and urbanization are accelerating the period of high energy consumption intensity. With the further expansion of economic scale, energy demand will continue to increase rapidly, great pressure on energy supply, supply and demand will exist for a long dependence on foreign oil and natural gas will be further enhanced

1.2 Relative shortage of resources hampered the development

of the energy industry

China's total energy resources is not small, but the amount per capita is lower. Exploration has lagged behind, affected the energy production capabilities. Meanwhile, China is very uneven distribution of energy resources, large-scale, long distance to transport coal, leading to tension capacity, costs, coordinated development of the energy industry.

1.3 Coal-dominated energy structure is not conducive to environmental protection

Coal is China's basic energy, rich in coal and less gas, oil-poor difficult to change the energy structure. The low level of use of clean coal, more pollution from coal combustion. This situation continues, it will bring more pressure to the ecological environment

1.4 Impact of energy technologies, energy supply is relatively backward capabilities

Energy technology, while the country has made great progress, but compared with the requirements of the development there is a large gap. Renewable energy, clean energy, alternative energy technology development is lagging behind, energy saving, pollution control and other technology is not widespread, some of the major independent design and manufacture of energy technology and equipment level is not high

1.5 Changes in the international energy market, the impact of higher energy supply

State oil and gas resources are relatively insufficient and need to ensure supply in the domestic production, while expanding international energy cooperation.However, the world's fragile balance between energy supply and demand, frequent fluctuations in the oil market,

international prices were high oscillation, various non-economic factors also affect international energy cooperation.This requires us to balance domestic development and

international cooperation, increase energy security level. 2 The measures we should take when we face the energy security First, Governments at all levels should include plans to build energy, energy is the blood of the national economy is related to the country's largest life and death issues, recognizing that, in science, technology, manpower, material and financial resources should be increased investment in intensity

Second ,addressing the energy crisis is not only government departments, and we are all citizens have an obligation to do something.
