连续性动词表示动作连续的动词。可与表示一段时间的状语连用，如for+一段时间；since+过去的时间点；how long。
暂时性动词也叫短暂性动词，指动作一发生就结束的动词。它不能与表示一段时间的状语连用，如for+一段时间；since+过去的时间点；how long。如果要与一段时间连用，要改为相应的持续性动词或用句型“It's+一段时间+since+从句”表达。

连续动词的句子是指多个动作先后完成的句子。
一般情况下，这些动作都是短暂性、瞬间性的动作，具有先后顺序完成的。

连续动词的句子是指将一系列短暂性、瞬间性的动作的句子，或者是同一个句子中有并列的动词。
在我们的英语写作中，有时候会遇到一些连续性的动作，我们就需要使用连续动词的句子来表达。
比如: He went to shopping, ate somefood and took bus go home、他去了商店，吃了些东西，然后坐公交回家。
| went to shcool,studied some words and finished homework、我去学校，学习一些单词，然后完成作业。
Hewent to theater, saw a movie and ate somefood、

连动句是指有两个或两个以上动词构成谓语的单句。
（二）连动句有以下几个特点：
1、谓语由两个或两个以上动词构成
2、所有动作描述的是同一个主语
3、动作之间没有停顿，也没有关联词语
（三）连动句“V1+V2”一般可以分为以下几类：
1、 V2 是V1的目的
（1）“来/去 (V2)
例：李明来学校学习了。
我去图书馆看书了。
（2）其它
例：妈妈上街买菜了。
奶奶进城看戏了。
小明，快坐下来学习吧。
2、 V1是V2进行的方式
例：他每天坐车去学校。
他平时用钢笔写字。
他唱着歌走进教室。
3、肯定形式V1+否定形式V2，肯定和否定形式表示动作的两个方面。
例：她拽着李老师不放。
小张把自己关在屋子里不出来。
4、特殊形式
（1）按时间顺序的连贯动作：我拉开门走出教室。
（2）由“来/去”和其他动词组成的特殊形式：
我们一会儿游泳去。
我们一会儿去游泳。
明天记得找我来。
明天记得来找我。
（3）“有/没有”
你有权力发表意见。
他有病不能来学校。
我没有希望去留学。
（4）前面动词的受事宾语也是后面动词的受事：老师倒了杯水喝。
