The Great Wall is very long and old. It has millions of bricks. Each brick is very big and heavy.Lots of people from different countries like climbing the Great Wall. We felt very tired when we climbed to the top of the Great Wall. We also went to the Palace Museum. The Palace Museum has 9999 palaces. It has a very long history. I bought a lot of souvenirs of the Palace Museum. What nice palaces these are! I visited the Palace Museum and felt excited. If you want to know more about the Palace Museum, you can go to Beijing and have a look. The following days, we went to the Summer Palace, Tian Tan, North Lake and Xiang Hill.I now know more about the history of China. I also like modern Beijing. 为外国笔友介绍北京旅游的作文英语全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Trip to BeijingHi! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I live in Beijing, the capital city of China. Last summer, my family took a trip around Beijing to see all the famous sights and I want to tell you all about it!Our first stop was the Forbidden City. This huge palace complex used to be where the emperors of China lived a long time ago. It has 9,999 rooms! We explored the lavishly decorated halls and courtyards. Everything was painted red and yellow, which were considered royal colors. My favorite part was climbing onto the stone carvings of fierce dragon sculptures. I pretended to be an emperor surveying my kingdom!Next, we went to Tiananmen Square. This enormous plaza can hold over a million people! There were crowds of tourists taking photos in front of the Gate of Heavenly Peace with its iconic portrait of Mao Zedong. We also saw the National Museum of China, which looked like a modern palace made ofglass and marble. I didn't go inside, but I heard they have treasures and artifacts dating back thousands of years. After that, we took the subway to the Temple of Heaven, a famous royal altar where emperors used to pray for good harvests. The most incredible thing was the Echo Wall - if you stand in one corner and talk towards the wall, you can hear your voice being carried all the way to the opposite corner over 60 meters away! I had fun whispering silly jokes that my parents could surprisingly hear loud and clear. One of the highlights was hiking a section of the Great Wall of China at Badaling. This gigantic wall snakes over rugged mountains as far as the eye can see. As I climbed the steep steps, I imagined what it must have been like for soldiers guarding the empire centuries ago. The views from the watchtowers were breathtaking! I could spot the wall winding like a giant dragon's back over the craggy peaks. We also spent a day at the Summer Palace, a beautiful lakeside retreat built for the royal families to escape Beijing's heat. I loved exploring the ornate buildings, cross bridges, willow trees and gardens. We took a boat ride across Kunming Lake and saw the famous Marble Boat carved entirely from huge slabs ofstone. I pretended I was an empress lounging and enjoying the scenery.Speaking of boats, one night we took a boat cruise along the Shichahai lakes in the historic hutong neighborhood. Hutongs are the traditional courtyard residences with narrow alleys crisscrossing between them. From the water, we got a glimpse into local life as we floating past laundry lines, children playing, and old men playing chess. It felt like traveling back in time!No visit to Beijing would be complete without seeing the iconic Birds Nest and Water Cube stadiums left over from the 2008 Olympics. The Birds Nest looks like a giant steel nest/bowl woven from intricate patterns. The Water Cube looks like a massive box of bubbles! We took silly tourist photos pretending to blend into the wacky architecture. World class athletics once happened on those very grounds. We went to so many incredible historical sites, but my favorite was the Beijing Ancient Observatory. It's an amazing complex of bronze instruments that were cutting edge astronomical technology...back in 1442! There were huge celestial globes intricately calibrated to map the cosmos, armillary spheres, and even a bright red gnomon forming theancient version of a sundial. I felt like a medieval astronomer charting the stars and planets.Beijing blends the modern and ancient so seamlessly. One moment you're gawking at ultra-modern glass and steel skyscrapers, and then you stumble across a hidden courtyard home unchanged for centuries. You can sip a bubble tea while admiring 500-year-old temples. Neon lights twinkle beside celebrated monuments. Beijing is a living museum where the present and past intermingle.I feel so lucky to call Beijing my home. It's a magical, complex, and endlessly fascinating city where you can walk in the footsteps of royalty one day and be awestruck by China's technological wonders the next. I witnessed firsthand how Beijing amazingly balances cherishing its roots while racing towards an exciting future. I hope you can visit someday and experience Beijing's enchantments for yourself! Let me know if you have any other questions.Your friend,Lily篇2My Trip to BeijingHi John! I'm so excited to tell you all about my recent trip to Beijing, the capital of China. It was the first time I had ever been there and it was totally awesome! We flew into Beijing Capital International Airport which is huge - way bigger than the airport back home. The airport itself sort of looks like a dragon from above which is really cool since dragons are a big part of Chinese culture and mythology. As soon as we stepped off the plane, I could tell Beijing was going to be a fascinating place. The first thing I noticed was how many people there were everywhere! Beijing is one of the most populated cities in the world with over 21 million residents. The roads were jam-packed with cars, buses, and taxis. Just crossing the street felt like an adventure! Thankfully my parents kept a very close eye on me.Our hotel was right in the heart of downtown Beijing near the famous Tiananmen Square. This giant open plaza can hold over 1 million people! It's where the Chinese government holds big ceremonies and events. At one end is the Gate of Heavenly Peace with a giant portrait of Mao Zedong, the founder of modern China. I couldn't believe how massive everything was. From Tiananmen Square, you can walk right into the incredible Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace that housed Chinese emperors and their families for almost 500 years until the last emperor was overthrown in 1912. It's called the Forbidden City because commoners weren't allowed inside back in those days. The entire palace complex is surrounded by a moat and 10 meter high walls with beautiful gates and watchtowers. As we entered through the Gate of Supreme Harmony, I was blown away by the grand architecture everywhere. All the buildings have these awesome yellow glazed tile roofs and intricate wooden carvings. It's like walking through an ancient Chinese kingdom! We spent hours wandering around the many temples, royal gardens, libraries, and living quarters. The details and craftsmanship are just remarkable. My favorite was the Imperial Garden with its pagodas, bridges, and perfectly landscaped rocks and ponds. I felt like I had traveled back in time hundreds of years. No trip to Beijing is complete without visiting one of the great wonders of the world - the Great Wall of China! We took about a 1.5 hour drive outside the city to a less-crowded sectionof the wall called Mutianyu. Even from far away, it looks like this gigantic stone dragon slithering along the tops of the mountain ridges. As we got closer, I was stunned by how tall and steep the wall is in person. Some sections are over 7 meters high! The steps are very uneven too which made the climb quite challenging, but so rewarding. From the top, you get these breathtaking views of the surrounding mountainous forest. It's crazy to think that this 21,000 km long wall was built over 2000 years ago, mainly by hand!Climbing along the Great Wall was definitely the most adventurous part of our Beijing trip. But we also visited some more relaxing spots around the city. The Summer Palace was my favourite with its gorgeous gardens, temples, bridges, and the huge Kunming Lake. We took a little dragon boat ride across part of the lake which was serene and picturesque. We also spent time exploring the lively Wangfujing Street - one of Beijing's most famous shopping areas. The entire pedestrian street is lined with stores, restaurants, snack stalls, and these amazingcourtyards with traditional architecture. I tried so many delicious street foods like jianbing (an egg crepe thingy),tanghulu (candied fruits on a stick), and buryingduligandan (those scrumptious beef stuffed buns)! YUM!On our final day in Beijing, we visited the iconic Temple of Heaven where Chinese emperors would perform rituals and make sacrifices. The entire temple complex is so uniquely designed with its round buildings, symbolic carvings and decorations of mythical creatures like dragons and phoenixes. My mind was blown when our guide told us the whole place was built without using a single nail!Well John, I could go on and on, but I'm running out of space! Beijing was honestly one of the coolest cities I've ever visited. The blend of ancient heritage withmodern vibrancy is just unreal. The food, the sights, the culture - it was all so fascinating to experience. I really hope you get a chance to go there one day too! Let me know if you have any other questions.Your friend,[Your name]篇3Dear Pen Pal,Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 10-year-old student living in the amazing city of Beijing, China. I'm so excited to tell you all about my hometown. Beijing is the capital of China and it's a place full of history, culture, and so many fun things to see and do. Let me give you a tour!First up, you have to visit the Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace from the Ming and Qing dynasties and it's absolutely massive! It has 9,999 rooms and covers 72 hectares. Can you imagine living in a palace that big? The architecture is stunning with its yellow glazed tiles and intricate carvings. My favorite part is the Imperial Garden with its beautiful landscapes and pavilions.Speaking of gardens, you also have to check out the Summer Palace. It's this enormous park and palace area that used to be the summer retreat for emperors. There's a huge lake called Kunming Lake and a marble boat that was built for the emperors' mothers to relax on. I love renting a boat and paddling around making waves! For some more nature, head over to the Temple of Heaven. This was the place where emperors would pray for good harvests. The highlight is the towering Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests with its triple-gabled circular roof made of beautiful blue tiles. The surrounding park is perfect for flying kites or just soaking up some sunshine. One of the most iconic sights in Beijing is the Great Wall. Parts of this gigantic wall that winds through the mountains were built over 2,000 years ago to protect against invaders! It's such an impressive feat of engineering and manpower. My favorite section is at Badaling where you can actually walk along the wall and see the watch towers up close. Just be ready for a tough climb up lots of steep steps!Beijing has some wonderful museums too. The Palace Museum inside the Forbidden City has incredible exhibits of imperial treasures and artworks. But my number one favorite is the National Museum of China on Tiananmen Square. They have a massive collection covering China's long history and culture. I'm obsessed with the dinosaur fossils and the ancient bronzes and pottery. You know what else Beijing is famous for? Food! We have some of the most delicious dishes from across China. You've got to try Beijing roast duck - the crispy skin is irresistible. Jiaozi (dumplings) and zhajiangmian (noodles with savory bean sauce) are also total classics. For snacks, try bingtanghulu (candied hawthorn fruits on a skewer) from street vendors. Yum!There's just so much energy and excitement in Beijing at all hours. In the mornings, parks fill up with people doing tai chi, fan dancing, or just playing cards and chatting. At night, places like Wangfujing Street are packed with neon lights, live performances, and snack stalls. It's a never-ending kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, and smells.I really can't do Beijing justice in this short letter. You'll just have to come visit and experience it for yourself! China's capital has captivated me ever since I was little. The mix of old and new, tradition and trendiness, is endlessly fascinating. I feel so lucky to call this vibrant, culture-rich city my home.Let me know if you have any other questions! I'd be happy to keep telling you about my beloved Beijing.Your friend,Xiaoming篇4Dear Pen Pal,Hello from Beijing, China! I'm so excited to tell you all about the amazing city I live in. Beijing is the capital of my country andit's full of wonderful things to see and do. Let me take you on a journey to some of my favorite spots!First up, we have to visit the Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace where emperors lived long ago. Can you believe it has 9,999 rooms? I've been there several times on school trips and I'm always amazed by how huge and beautiful it is. The buildings are made of wood and have gorgeous painted decorations. There are lots of courtyards, gardens, and even a mountain of hand-carved marble! My favorite part is walking through the amazing gates with the fierce lion statues guarding the entrance.Right across from the Forbidden City is Tiananmen Square. This is one of the biggest public squares in the world - it can hold a million people! There are grand monuments and memorials here, including the mausoleum of Chairman Mao who was a very important leader in China's history. Every night there is aflag-lowering ceremony that is really cool to watch. Hundreds of people gather to see the soldiers marching and folding up the enormous Chinese flag. For an awesome view over the whole city, you have to go up the Jingshan Park hill right behind the Forbidden City. It's a bit of a climb but so worth it! From the top, you can see all the royalpalaces and temples spread out below. The panorama of Beijing's modern skyscrapers mixed with the ancient monuments is just breathtaking. There are so many more historical sites I want to show you, like the Temple of Heaven where emperors prayed for good harvests. And the beautiful gardens, like Beihai Park with its bridges over shimmering lakes. Beijing has a loooong history going back over 3,000 years so there are endless places to explore the past. But Beijing isn't just about old stuff - we also have the craziest modern architecture! Have you heard of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube? Those were the Olympic stadiums built for the 2008 games. They look like a giant steel bird's nest and a cube made of bubbles! So cool. Another of my favorite crazy buildings is the CCTV Headquarters which looks like a giant bent donut! No visit to Beijing is complete without seeing the Great Wall of China! This massive wall winds through the mountains for thousands of miles. The part closest to Beijing is only about an hour away so we can easily go for a day trip. Some parts are super steep and you have to climb a lot of steps, but the views are just incredible from up on the wall looking out over the greenvalleys and hills. It's crazy to think this was built so long ago to protect the empire - the construction first began in the 3rd century BC! I hope you're not afraid of heights.Oh and the food here is just delicious. From juicy Beijing roast duck to fresh noodles and dumplings, you'll want to taste it all. For breakfast, we have to get jianbing which are crispy crepes stuffed with scrambled eggs, sauce, and crunchy wontons. With world-class museums, performances, parks and some of the yummiest food you'll ever taste, Beijing has something for everyone.Get ready for an adventure! I'll show you all my favorite spots when you finally make it here. Don't forget to pack some comfy shoes because we're going to be doing a ton of walking and exploring. Beijing is waiting for us!Your Chinese Pen Pal,[Your name]篇5Hello my dear friend!I'm so excited to tell you all about the amazing city I live in - Beijing! It's the capital of China and one of the most historic and fascinating places in the world. Get ready for an adventure!First, let me tell you about the incredible palaces and temples here. The Forbidden City is a massive complex of beautiful old buildings right in the center of Beijing. For many centuries, it was the home of the powerful emperors who ruled China. Can you imagine living in a place with 9,999 rooms? That's how big it is! The architecture is stunning, with bright colors, intricate designs, and these awesome sloped roofs. My favorite part is the Imperial Garden. It has amazing landscaped gardens, pavilions, and even a hill made entirely out of marble! The marble was transported all the way from quarries hundreds of miles away. How crazy is that? I love wandering around the gardens and palace buildings, imagining what life was like for the emperors and their families long ago.Not far from the Forbidden City is Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world. It's where big parades and celebrations are held. At one end is the Gate of Heavenly Peace, a huge gate with a portrait of Mao Zedong, the founding leader of modern China. Next to it is the Mausoleum of MaoZedong where you can view his preserved body! On the other side of the square is the National Museum of China, which has an incredible collection of artifacts and exhibits on Chinese history and culture.Another amazing palace is the Summer Palace, which used to be the summer retreat for emperors and their families. My favorite part is the Marble Boat, which is exactly what it sounds like - a huge marble boat on Kunming Lake! They had to use enormous slabs of marble weighing tons to construct it. There are also beautiful gardens, temples, and the Long Corridor, which is a covered walkway almost a kilometer long! You can see so many incredible painted stories and scenes on the beams.Beijing also has some of the coolest temples in China. The Temple of Heaven is this huge complex with amazing blue-tiled buildings where the emperors would perform rituals and ceremonies. It reminded me of something out of a storybook! And the Lama Temple is an active Buddhist monastery with the biggest Buddha statue I've ever seen. You can watch the monks praying and meditating there. But Beijing isn't just about historic sites - it also has incredible food! You HAVE to try the famous Peking duck when you visit. It's a whole crispy roasted duck that they carve right infront of you and serve with steamed buns, cucumber, sweet bean sauce, and other yummy condiments. Every bite is an explosion of flavors! Then there are dumplings, noodles, hot pot, and so many other delicious dishes. I don't think you could ever get bored of the food here.Another cool part of the city is the hutongs - these are little alleyways and neighborhoods with traditional courtyard homes. You can wander along them and get a feel for old Beijing. People still live in some of the hutongs, and there are fun shops, restaurants, and bars too. It's like stepping back in time! I always feel so peaceful walking through them away from the busy main streets. And I can't forget to tell you about the sections of the Great Wall here! Just outside Beijing, you can hike on the ancient stone pathways and learn about how they used to stretch across the whole country for thousands of miles. Climbing up the steep steps is such an amazing workout, but you're rewarded with breathtaking views of the mountains and countryside. Parts of the wall are crumbling and wild, while other sections have been restored and maintained. I've been a few times and it never gets old! There's just SO much history and culture everywhere you look in Beijing. Even though it's a gigantic modern city, you can't escape the incredible past around every corner. I hope I've convinced you what an awesome place it is! Mark it down on your travel list because you absolutely have to come visit someday. See you next time!Word Count: 314 words篇2My Trip to BeijingHi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm going to tell you all about my amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China. But first, let me show you how I wrote this essay using the really cool Meipian app on my mom's phone. After we got back from our family vacation, my teacher Mrs. Wilson asked everyone to write about where we went over the spring break holiday. She said we could write it on the computer or do it by hand, but my friend Timmy told me about this awesome app his older sister uses called Meipian. It lets you put together words, photos, videos, stickers and all kinds of fun stuff to make a digital essay. So I asked my mom if I could use Meipian and she helped me download it.The first thing I did was pick a fun background theme for my essay pages. Meipian has tons of choices like animals, outer space, under the sea and more. I decided to go with the Great Wall of China background since that was one of the best parts of our trip. Then I started writing the introduction page about why we went to Beijing. My dad's company has an office there, so we went to visit his work but also to see all the amazing sights as tourists. I used Meipian's text tool to type in my intro and tried out different text sizes and colors. I ended up going with a big red font because it looked really bright and vibrant. After the intro, I moved on to describing the hotel we stayed at - the Grand Hyatt Beijing. It was soooooo fancy! They had a huge swimming pool, tennis courts, and a bunch of nice restaurants. Meipian has a photo layout tool that lets you insert pictures, so I uploaded some of the hotel photos my dad took and dragged them into place on the new page. I made sure to use the best ones like the giant lobby area and the kids pool area. The third part of my essay was about one of the coolest things I've ever seen - the Forbidden City! This was the palace where the emperors of ancient China lived with their families and advisors. It's absolutely massive and has nearly 1000 buildings inside its walls. We spent an entire day wandering around and exploring. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden in the back part of the Forbidden City. There was a hill with beautiful trees and views across a lake with these cool bridges over the water.Meipian makes it super simple to record videos straight from your camera roll, so I added a short video clip of me climbing up the hill in the Imperial Garden.Next up was a section on seeing the famous Terracotta Warriors. These are thousands of life-size ceramic soldier statues that were buried over 2000 years ago to guard the tomb of China's first emperor. They were only discovered in the 1970s by some farmers digging in their fields! On the Meipian page about the Terracotta Warriors, I used their drawing tool to sketch a picture of one of the soldier statues. I'm not the best artist but the drawing tool makes it easy to erase mistakes or used the undo button. Then of course, I had to include a whole page on my favorite part - hiking along the Great Wall of China! This incredible wall winds for thousands of miles through the mountains in northern China. Part of it is pretty touristy and renovated, but we also got to go on a more adventurous hike along an original ancient part that was steeper with lots of crumbly stone steps. We had an excellent guide who taught us about the wall's history of defending against nomadic invaders over the centuries. For this page I used Meipian's layout tool to showcase some of the best photos my mom took of the views from walking on the GreatWall. I also inserted a realistic-looking Great Wall of China sticker that Meipian had to make the page look even cooler.Towards the end of the essay I included some bonus pages about other things we did, like visiting the Olympic Park from the 2008 Beijing Games, eating yummy dumplings and noodles, and seeing a Chinese acrobat show one evening. There are so manyamazing stickers and decorations on Meipian for food, sports, entertainment and more. I experimented with comic-style Word bubbles and background patterns too.For the very last page, I wrote a conclusion paragraph thanking my parents for taking us on such an incredible trip where we learned so much about China's culture and history. I used Meipian's handwriting tool to write a short message telling my mom and dad how much I loved the vacation. And that's it - my awesome essay all about our family adventure in Beijing, China! Meipian made it really easy and fun to create. I included all the highlights through a mix of writing, photos, videos, drawings and decorations. The best part was getting to relive the memories of each place we visited as I added the pages to my essay.I can't wait to show my essay to everyone at school. I'm sure once they see how cool Meipian is, all my friends will want to useit for their essays and projects too. Thanks for reading, and let me know if you guys have been to Beijing before or want to visit some day! Zàijiàn (bye in Chinese)!篇3My Amazing Trip to BeijingHi everyone! As I walked along the battlements, I was awestruck by the panoramic views and the sheer magnitude of this ancient wonder.Next on my itinerary was the Forbidden City, also known as the Imperial Palace. This vast complex of palaces, pavilions, and gardens was the residence of the emperors for over 500 years. Each building and detail within the Forbidden City is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship of the past. The intricate designs and the stories they tell are a window into the lives of the emperors and the royal court.Beijing's cultural experience would be incomplete without a visit to the Temple of Heaven. This sacred site was once the domain of the emperors, who would come to pray for a goodharvest. The tranquility of the park and the elegance of the temple's architecture provided a serene backdrop for contemplation. In contrast to the historical sites, the bustling streets of Beijing offered a glimpse into the city's vibrant present. I explored the Hutongs, the narrow alleys that are home to traditional courtyard houses. These areas are a starkcontrast to the city's modern districts, with their lively markets, local eateries, and small shops selling everything from traditional handicrafts to modern trinkets. No trip to Beijing would be complete without trying the local cuisine. I indulged in the famous Peking Duck, which was served with thin pancakes, scallions, cucumber, and a sweet bean sauce. The dish was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, and it's no wonder it's a culinary icon of the city.In the evenings, I enjoyed the city's nightlife. From the vibrant bars and clubs to the traditional teahouses, Beijing offers a rich nightlife experience. I particularly enjoyed a night at a local theater, where I watched a performance ofthe Beijing Opera, a traditional form of Chinese musicaldrama that is as enchanting as it is complex. My Beijing之旅 (journey) was not just a travel experience; it was a journey through time, from the ancient dynasties to the present day. The city's ability to preserve its history while embracing the future is truly remarkable. As I left Beijing,I carried with me a deep appreciation for the city's culturaldepth and a newfound respect for its people's resilience and spirit.。
