所谓“基于证据的分析性写作”,指的是针对所给的阅读材料,恰当中肯地评析材料的写作。

其中写作部分改革最为彻底,由议论文写作变为议论文分析,对中国考生而言是一个极大的挑战。

新sat写作考察考生三个维度的能力:阅读、分析和写作。

接下来对要点进行具体分析,最后有一句话进行起承转合,增强文章逻辑性。

结构简单明了,然而具体每一部分如何来写则是技巧性比较强的。

二、具体展开首先是主题句(point)。

主题句写法可以有多种,但是一定要包括本段要分析的要点,一般还需要包括作者、逻辑词、要点的作用等,如:1.Goodman begins by clearly laying out the raw statistics from a census produced by the American Journalism Review to show the dramatic decline of foreign correspondents and bureaus that had been "entirely eliminated" by American news organizations over the past decayed.(OGp194)2.Summers uses his words and research to reason with the reader and explain to them why plastic bags really are the correct choice. 关键词有:first, second, thirdTo begin with, what is more, Last but not leastBesides, in addition, Also(3) 转折和对比关系: 这是对于已有观点的驳斥,或者是提供新的观点。

常用的转折关键词有:1. 虽然:although, while2. 但是:however, but, yet3. 其他:actually/ in fact, despite/ in spite of, nevertheless/ nonetheless, rather对比可以分为横向对比和纵向对比。

考试的第一部分是Writing Test,时间25分钟,这个模式和TOEFL中的TWE很类似,要求写在一页50行的纸上,字数虽没有明确的规定但是一般为200-350字为宜。

评分的角度将从全文的结构,观点的表述,语言词汇的使用,连贯性和整洁诸多方面,评卷人将在1-6分中给出评判,每篇作文将由两个老师过目评分,得分将在2- 12分范围内(两个个分数之和)。

作文部分的添加是应广大美国大学的要求,由于很多美国大学在本科教学阶段对学生的写作能力有一定要求而目前的美国高中阶段教育似乎无法十分理想地满足这个要求,因此NEW SA T考试对学生的写作能力提出了更高的要求。

同学们在备考过程应该找3~5个名人,把他们研究透彻,用到文章里面去。

这些名人应该具备以下一些品质:勇敢、坚强、乐观、追求卓越、百折不挠、逆境成才、勇于挑战权威、积极服务他人等等。

第二题:Do you think that ease does not challenge us and that we need adversity to help us discover who we are? 顺境不足以挑战我们,我们需要逆境来了解自己,是否同意?解题:人物论据。

第三题:Is conscience a more powerful motivator than money, fame, or power?良知是不是一种比金钱、荣誉、权利更为强大的驱动力?解题:人物论据。

2020新SAT写作怎样三步搞定evidence 2020新SAT写作怎样三步搞定evidence在2020新SAT写作中,如何在文章中体现evidence、如何用evidence来支撑文章的论点,决定着文章的body paragraph能否写得饱满、充实,从而决定在写作中拿到一个理想的分数。

从OG提供的4分满分范文的角度,以及根据世界首发新SAT美国考场现场带来的最新信息,建议将essay分为三绝大部分,introduction, body paragraph, 和conclusion. 在introduction部分一般需要表现thesis statement,根据thesis statement进而将文章发展为3-5个支撑的body paragraph. 在body paragraph中,evidence就对文章的架构起着至关重要的作用。

Evidence应从阅读文章的支撑性细节中提取出来,而且一般建议,这种细节性的supporting detail只能够存有在body paragraph中,而不能存有于introduction paragraph中。

换言之,introduction段更多的是一个蓝图的作用,提纲挈领的道出你想要阐述的点,introductory paragraph中只需含有thesis statement和三个进一步论证的部分就充足了。

比如在introduction段的thesis statement 中,你能够这样表述:By using careful word choice, undeniable precise statistics, and effective language devices, the author successfully convinces his readers that…而在接下来发展的3个body paragraph中,能够分别这样阐述:Body paragraph 1. In an attempt to …the author utilizes clever euphemisms and carefully selected word to describe … (careful word choice)Body paragraph 2. Building upon the …generated from careful word choice, the author continues successfullybuilding the case by providing several key statistics which support his position. (undeniable precise statistics)Body paragraph 3.The author also employs creativelanguage devices which appeal to both our emotions and our logic to complete his argument (effective language device)那么在这三个body paragraph中,3个待支撑观点的架构就需要evidence来填充。

新SAT写作证据(Evidence)分析解读之Example(例证)新东方在线SAT教研组李盛在议论文写作中,Example(例子)是经常使用的一种论证形式。

作者往往会给读者呈现具体的细节,从而证明自己观点的正确性。

请阅读下面从文章中节选的段落:The rest of the world depends on darkness as well, including nocturnal and crepuscular species of birds, insects, mammals, fish and reptiles. Some examples are well known—the 400 species of birds that migrate at night in North America, the sea turtles that come ashore to lay their eggs—and some are not, such as the bats that save American farmers billions in pest control and the moths that pollinate 80% of the world’s flora. Ecological light pollution is like the bulldozer of the night, wrecking habitat and disrupting ecosystems several billion years in the making. 在识别了该证据形式之后,考试需要写出证据的内容,由于选文的信息比较多,考生可以对于例子的内容进行总结(summarize):Thewriterlists examples of howsome particular species (birds,turtles,batsandmoths)relyondarknesstosurviveandcontributeto human beingsintheecologicalcycle.最后需要去分析该例子的作用。

作者列举这几个例子的目的是为了证明本段开头的观点(The rest of the world depends on darkness as well),即动物们也是需要黑暗环境的。

通过给出这样的例子,能够让读者清晰地了解动物是如何依赖黑暗生存及在生物圈做出贡献,再次强调黑暗对于人类和动物都有不可或缺的作用。

把上面的分析用英语连贯地表达出来,可以是:The author lists several examples to back up his claim. By mentioning examples of howsome particular species (birds,turtles,batsandmoths)relyondarknesstosurviveandcontributeto human beingsintheecologicalcycle, the author helps the readers to see the truth of the statement that has been made at the top of the paragraph (“The rest of the world depends on darkness as well”). By using these known and unknown examples, the author presents the audience a vivid picture of how important the darkness is for a variety of animals, and therefore reinforces his central claim that darkness is indispensable for both human beings and animals.有时候例子也可以是个人经历(personalexperience):作者和别人的交谈,作者亲身经历或见证的事件等。

例如,一位家长想要讨论电子设备的使用对于青少年的影响可以选择在文章一开始谈论自己的孩子每天放学回家花大量的时间玩手机游戏,而不按时完成老师布置的家庭作业;一个旅行者想要说明跟团旅游的好处,可以在文章中给出自己曾经某一次跟团去了欧洲的某个国家而省去了很多的不便等;一个作者想要强调兼职工作对于孩子的好处可以指出自己小时候通过做具体的某种兼职而得到了锻炼等。

从上面的例子可以看出,个人经历与读者联系更加直接(makesatopicmoreimmediateforareader),它可以使一个大的话题更加贴近读者的生活(illustratewhatalargeissuelookslikeinsomeone’sday-to-daylife)。

作者使用个人经历使得自己与读者联系更加紧密,从而使得读者更愿意相信作者的观点(Authorssometimesusepersonalexperiencetomakethemselvesseemrelatablea ndthereforetrustworthy)。

请阅读下面从文章中节选的段落:At my family’s cabin on a Minnesota lake, I knew woods so dark that my hands disappeared before my eyes. I knew night skies in which meteors left smoky trails across sugary spreads of stars. But now, when8 of 10 children born in the United States will never know a sky dark enough for the Milky Way, I worry we are rapidly losing night’s natural darkness before realizing its worth. This winter solstice, as we cheer the days’ gradual movement back toward light, let us also remember the irreplaceable value of darkness.在上面这段话中,为了引出文章讨论自然黑暗的这个话题,作者回忆了自己童年在明尼苏达湖畔生活的经历:At my family’s cabin on a Minnesota lake, I knew woods so dark that my hands disappeared before my eyes.
