拟改译:a region attractive to investors
原译对“热点”逐字翻译,其实际意义为“(可能) 发生 动乱的地方”(至少以这一意思为主) 。另一种译法 investment heat spot 也不妥当,因为heat spot 是医学上的 “热觉点”。改译采用了解释性翻译,表意清楚,同时又体现 了热点的“热”字真正的含义在于具有attractive 的特性,并 且避免了字面翻译引起的错误。
企业简介的语言特点要求在翻译的过程中必须以 “信”为前提,以“简”、“达”为标准,力求 “雅”。

(一) 拘泥于原文引起的翻译不当
1.逐字翻译引起的“翻译腔”

例2 : “严管理, 高品质, 讲信誉, 重服务” 译文: “Strict Management , Superior Quality , Stressing Reputation and Paying Attention to Service”

4) “集…于一体”: feature , integrate , combine.
5) 企业的性质: “外资企业”: foreign - funded enterprise “合资企业” :joint venture “合作企业”: cooperative enterprise “独资企业”: wholly foreign- owned enterprise.

4.欠额翻译(undertranslation)
欠额翻译也叫“过载翻译”(overloaded translation) , 它是“译者无视译文的理解性与可读性,或过高地估计了 译语读者的知识,以致于译文读者在译语中得不到理解原 文所必需的信。
例如对“拳头产品”一词的译法, 欠额翻译fist product 给读者的理解度不够,而( highly) competitive product 虽然 未能做到原汁原味,但至少在表意上达到了传达信息的目 的,显得更为可取。当然, knockout product 形神俱备,最为 妥帖。
(3)从句
例: 公司环境优美, 设备先进。拥有中国第一条年产三十吨核 酸花粉合剂的现代化生产线。
