The movie to live is the most effective movie in the 90s in the last century that Zhang Yimou directed. It reflects the torturous course of the ordinary people Fugui, which provokes thoughts much.For the word “to live”, in my opinion, it represents the innermost being of so many people: Jiazhen left the sharper with her children to live better, Fugui ruined and tramped off the street to make his mother live, Jiazhen came back hoping all the family live together, Fugui lived for the shadow play and lived from the deaths to make the family live better, the government made steel and mess together to make these people live, Youqing bickered with other kids to make his sister Jiazhen live with dignity，Chunsheng wanted to help Fugui to drag out Jiazhen’s from the shadow and to live better, the township head acted as a matchmaker with him to make all the people who lived in his compass of competency live happily, Erxi asked for the gynaecologist by using his power over others to make his wife and child live peacefully，Jiazhen let Chunsheng who is capitalist roaders live to make him live 。

The Appreciation of the Movie Forrest Gump Unfortunately born with a lower IQ and the muscle problem, Forrest Gump met his beloved girl – Jenny. He began to run to escape from the bully of other children which promoted him to get into the admission of one university to become a rugby star. Surprisingly, he even met President Kennedy.After graduating from university, Gump was enrolled by the army and went to Vietnam to be a soldier. Trapped in an ambush there, Gump lost his best friend, Papua, who never woke up and inspired him to do shrimp business after retiring from the army.Credited with honors, Gump received the President Johnson’s interview and then he started to be fascinated with playing table tennis. To our astonishment, as an American representative, he even went to China to participate in the table tennis contest, and made great contribution to a harmonious Sino-American relationship.As his mother’s golden words says, stupid is as stupid does. Gump established his own business through hard work and diligence. Cooperated with Lieutenant Dan Taylor, Gump created the Papua-Gump company, through which becoming a millionaire unconsciously. However, he wasn’t obsessed w ith fame and fortune. He returned to his home to be a gardener, where he missed his girl – Jenny, who used to be cute and innocent in their childhood, but went astray and lost in the depth of despair in the reality.With agony and misery, Gump ran and ran for three years, encountering with Jenny again. Immersed in grief, he was aware that Jenny was harassed with a fatal disease. To his delight, he got married with Jenny finally. They returned to their hometown and lived a simple but happy life with their intelligent son.After Jenny’s death, with a broken heart, Gump raised his son and sent him to school, where he recalled his life experience.The movie is held in esteem and praised highly because the character Gump always makes his audience feel at ease and entertained. Though looks silly outside, Gump is actually really smart and bright inside. He always holds to his inner beliefs,which are kindness, sincerity and diligence. Superior to ordinary people, his career is successful and glamorous. By subverting the normal world of a heroic image, the image Gump runs counter to the traditional concept and holds the discipline of anti-tradition. With comparison, wise men become pale in front of his experiences. As far as I am concerned, the director makes a satirical address through shaping the image of Gump and reflecting the disappointment and perplexity of the American people to the society. In the movie, a group of people are always trailing after Gump. However, in the reality, the U. S. people are confused in the mist. Losing the motivation and meaning of existence, they had to set their hope on other people, such as Gump, who always faces life with optimism and courage. This is irony indeed.Hope serves as the constant theme in the film with a charming atmosphere, which makes me love the film. Every audience may become sentimental and emotional after watching the movie, which makes the spectator understand that life is more beautiful than they reckon. We should always believe in ourselves and never give up until the last breath. No matter what appearance we have, what family we are born to, we are not inferior to anyone else. Just as Gump’s strong-willed mother says, life is like a box of chocolates, and you never know what you’re gonna get, which looks likes a simple discourse but contains a positive life attitude that everyone understand but hard and painful to achieve. There are many classical quotations in the film, such as “Miracles happen every day.”, “Death is just a part of life, something we’re all destined to do.”, “I don’t know if we each have a destiny, or if we’re all just floating around accidental - like on a breeze.”, “You are no different than anybody else is.”, and so on. Deeply moved by those remarks, I am shocked and touched by these powerful and affecting words. Truly, life is permeated with so much uncertainty, while we can only confront it with calmness, optimism and endeavor. If without luck, we can only be studious and industrious.As a movie in the early 1990s, the usage of a large number of special effect is a highlight. Apart from the awards of best picture of the 67th Oscar Award in 1995, this film wins five grand prizes, such as the best actor, the best adapting drama, the best achievement in directing, the best achievement in film editing and the best visualeffect. Viewing the American political and social life from a unique angel, the movie has reflected every aspect of American’s life.Pure as Gump is, Jenny become a degenerate sign. Tender in feeling and rich in meaning, the film h as a soft sentiment and leaves no injury to the audience’s heart. Sticking to the traditional moral concept and embodiment, the film is easy to be accepted by people. In addition, the superb lay-out skill and the amusing language application make the film very appealing, which makes the movie become a major box office hit. Due to his sincere and natural performance as the character Gump, Tom Hanks gains the laurel of the best actor of Oscar for his outstanding behavior in the film, whose success also makes Tom Hanks turn into one of the most favorite movie stars in Hollywood.。
