Based on classical myth, Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion plays on the complex business of human relationships in a social world.
Pygmalion effect is one of the social psychological effects . Pygmalion was the king of Cyprus in the ancient tale of Greece, who fell in love with a sculpture of a young girl and expected to be accepted sincerely . The real love and expectation moved the Goddness of love called Venus, Aphr . Active expectation makes people develop towards the good direction while passive expectation makes people develop towards the worse direction.
