中学生课余时间上网英语作文利弊
中学生课余时间上网英语作文利弊全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Pros and Cons of Using the Internet in My Free TimeThese days, it seems like every student is glued to their phones, tablets or laptops for huge chunks of their free time outside of school. We're constantly surfing the web, scrolling through social media, watching videos, messaging friends and more. The internet has become a massive part of life for kids my age. But is this a good thing or a bad thing? In my opinion, using the internet in our free time definitely has some awesome benefits, but it also comes with some serious downsides that we should be aware of. Let me break it down for you.On the plus side, the wealth of information and knowledge available online is simply amazing. With a few taps or clicks, I can instantly access a vast ocean of facts on pretty much any topic you can think of. I can read detailed articles, watch educational videos, find step-by-step tutorials and more - it's like having the world's biggest library right at my fingertips. This endless stream of information helps me learn new things that aren't covered inschool, explore subjects I'm passionate about, and satisfy my curiosity about how the world works. It makes me smarter and more knowledgeable. The internet is also an incredible tool for productivity and academics. I use online resources for research for my school assignments and projects all the time. If I need to learn a new coding language, math concept or writing skill, there are brilliant free lessons and guides online that teach me exactly what I need to know. There are also lots of useful organization and productivity apps that help me plan my time, set reminders, take notes and stay on top of my work. Without the internet, it would be so much harder to excel in my studies.Another big perk is the ability to connect with others online. Messaging apps let me keep in touch with friends and family no matter where they live. I'm part of online communities and groups for my favorite activities and interests where I can share my passions with likeminded people across the globe. It's awesome to be able to make friends and connect with others who have similar perspectives and experiences as me. The internet helps me feel less alone. However, the internet definitely has its dark side too. One of the biggest issues in my opinion is the endless onslaught ofdigital distractions and time-wasting traps like addictive games, endless streams of random videos, and those hugely compelling but utterly pointless social media feeds. It's SO easy to get completely sucked in and lose literal hours upon hours mindlessly scrolling, tapping and zoning out in front of a screen. That's time I'll never get back that I could have spent on more productive, rewarding or healthy activities.Speaking of health, another major downside is the negative physical and mental impacts too much screen time can have. Staring at bright screens for hours isn't great for our eyes, and all that inactivity can't be good for our bodies either. Excessive internet use has also been linked to problems like depression, anxiety, loneliness, sleep deprivation and more for some people. The internet promotes short attention spans, and it's easy to get overwhelmed by the constant inflow of information, social pressures and digital noise.Additionally, the internet can be a pretty scary and dangerous place sometimes, especially for kids and teens. There's a ton of inappropriate, untrustworthy, explicit or even illegal content out there that we could accidentally stumble across. Online predators, scammers, hackers and cyberbullies lurk around every corner, trying to take advantage of or harmyoung internet users. And with so many hours spent in the vast digital world, it's easy for things like online privacy, safety and security to be compromised in ways that could have serious real-life consequences. At the end of the day, the internet is an incredibly powerful tool that can open up amazing educational opportunities and connect us to valuable resources, knowledge and people. But it's also a massive time-sink full of distractions, it enables unhealthy habits and behaviors, and it exposes us to certain risks too. For me personally, the internet will always be part of my free time to some degree because of how useful and entertaining it can be. But I also need to be self-aware, set reasonable limits for myself, and make sure I strike a good balance. Too much time spent mindlessly browsing and staring at screens is definitely a bad thing, but using the internet intentionally to learn, create and connect can be really rewarding. It's all about moderation and being a smart, responsible user. Like most things in life, the internet has its pros and cons - it's up to each of us to make the most of the pros while avoiding the cons as much as we can.篇2The Pros and Cons of Using the Internet in My Free TimeAs a middle school student, I spend a good chunk of my free time browsing the internet. Whether it's checking social media, watching videos, or researching topics I'm interested in, the internet has become a huge part of my life outside of school. But is all that time online actually beneficial, or is it just a massive waste of time and potential? In my opinion, using the internet in my free time has both significant advantages and disadvantages that are important to consider. On the positive side, the internet provides me with an incredible wealth of information and knowledge that simply wasn't accessible to previous generations. Thanks to the internet, I can instantly look up facts on any topic imaginable with just a few clicks. This unlimited access to information has really expanded my understanding of the world and allowed me to explore subjects that interest me far beyond what is taught in school textbooks. The internet has also opened up amazing opportunities for me to discover new interests and hobbies. By watching tutorials and joining online communities, I've been able to teach myself skills like coding, graphic design, and music production that would have been much harder pursue in the pre-internet era.The ability to connect with people around the world who share my niche interests has been really awesome.I've also found the internet to be an amazing educational resource outside of academics. I can use it to get advice on things like healthy lifestyles, personal finance, and many other important real-world topics that aren't always covered in-depth at school. Having such a powerful tool for self-education at my fingertips is incredibly valuable. However, the internet also presents some major disadvantages and potential pitfalls that shouldn't be ignored. Perhaps the biggest issue is how much time I end up wasting on endless scrolling and consumption of low-quality content. Even when I intend to just spend a few minutes online, I often find myself getting sucked into videos, memes, and social media posts for hours in an unproductive zombie-like trance. This excessive internet consumption isn't just a waste of time, it's also really messing with my attention span and ability to focus on challenging tasks for extended periods. Reading books or working on homework assignments requiring deep cognitive engagement has become increasingly difficult when my brain has been re-wired by the internet's constant dopamine hits and rapid context switching. The internet has also exposed me to a terrifying amount of misinformation, toxic narratives, and negativity that can be really damaging if consumed without a critical lens. It's become harder to distinguish fact from fiction, and the anonymity of the internet enables people to spread conspiracy theories, hate speech, and personal attacks in very harmful ways. There are also very real concerns about privacy and data security when so much of our personal information and online activity is being tracked and monetized by powerful tech companies. We're the product being sold for profit, and it's a bit scary not knowing how our data could be misused, especially given how much of our lives are now tied to the internet. So in considering the pros and cons, I've realized that the internet is a tremendously powerful tool that can be highly beneficial for learning, exploring interests, and expanding one's perspective. But it's also an addictive rabbithole filled with distractions and potential dangers that need to be navigated carefully. Ultimately, I think the wisest approach is to be very intentional about how and why I use the internet in my free time.Rather than mindlessly browsing for entertainment, I'm trying to use the internet primarily for productive educational purposes - researching topics for school projects, taking onlinecourses to learn new skills, reading high-quality publications, and participating in communities related to my goals and interests. I've installed website blockers to restrict my access to social media sNDLovies and limit my overall "recreational internet time" to avoid falling into those productivity-zapping cycles.I've also become much more discerning about the sources I rely on for information online and double-check claims against authoritative databases and fact-checking sites. It's important to always think critically about online content rather than blindly trusting anything that pops up on my feed.Using the internet has become unavoidable in today's world, but like anything, it needs to be done in moderation and with intentionality. As long as I stay aware of both its amazing opportunities and insidious pitfalls, I'm confident I can leverage the internet's full power as an educational tool while avoiding its unhealthy distractions and risks. It's all about striking that ideal balance.篇3The Pros and Cons of Internet Use During Leisure TimeAs a middle school student in today's digital age, the internet has become an integral part of my life – for better or worse. Don't get me wrong, I'm no technophobe, but I've noticed both positive and negative impacts of spending my free time online. Let me break it down for you.On the plus side, the internet is an incredibly valuable resource for learning and exploring new topics that interest me beyond what we cover in school. With just a few clicks, I can dive into virtually any subject imaginable – from Ancient Greek history to quantum physics to K-pop choreography tutorials. This unlimited access to information helps me discover and cultivate new passions and hobbies. The internet has also connected me with online communities of people who share my niche interests. On forums and social media, I can geek out with fellow fans over our mutually beloved book series, video games, or obscure bands. These communities give me a sense of belonging and allow me to form friendships withlike-minded peers from around the world – something that would be much harder in the pre-internet era.Beyond entertainment and socializing, the internet is also an invaluable tool for my education. Between online tutors, educational videos, and digital libraries of ebooks and researchpapers, I have a wealth of resources at my fingertips to help me with homework, writing essays, studying for tests, and learning new skills. My parents definitely didn't have it this easy when they were my age! However, as great as the internet can be, it also has a dark side that can negatively impact my generation. One major downside is how much time it sucks away from other important activities and responsibilities. It's so easy to burn away entire afternoons mindlessly scrolling through social media feeds, watching vapid YouTube videos, or falling down online rabbit holes – missing out on exercise, face-to-face interaction with friends, reading books, or getting enough sleep. This unhealthy internet overuse and lack of balance in my life can harm my physical and mental well-being.Additionally, the internet exposes me to a ton of misleading information, dangerous ideas, and negative influencers. One minute I could be watching a benign makeup tutorial, and the next I'm being bombarded with radical political propaganda, disinformation about public health issues, or influencers promoting unhealthy body images and lifestyles. Trying to parse fact from fiction online and avoid these toxic internet spaces is an ongoing challenge.Speaking of toxic spaces, cyberbullying is also a major issue for my generation. The anonymity and lack of consequences on the internet emboldens some people to send cruel messages and harassment to others in vicious ways they likely never would in the real world. The bullying, body-shaming, and hate I've witnessed being spewed at other kids online is really disheartening and damaging.Another issue is the addictive design of many websites, apps, and games deliberately developed to keep users mindlessly scrolling, watching, or playing for as long as possible – often through unethical psychological manipulation tactics. It can be hard to disengage from these addictive online experiences and regain control over my time and attention. At the end of the day, the internet is a double-edged sword during my leisure time. On one side, it connects me to a wealth of knowledge, interests, and communities in amazing ways. But on the other, it also facilitates procrastination, exposure to harmful content and ideas, cyberbullying, and basically an entire void of wasted time and potential if overindulged in.Ultimately, I think the key is balance and being an educated, intentional user of the internet's vast capabilities. If I can maintain self-control, think critically about the online spaces Iengage with, and balance my internet leisure time with other enriching offline activities and rest, then the internet can be an awesome supplement to my life as a middle-schooler. But if I fail to exercise that control and discretion, then the internet can just as easily become an escape from reality that negatively impacts my well-being and growth. So in short, the internet certainly has its pros and cons for kids my age. It's an incredibly powerful resource and connector –as long as we can learn to leverage its benefits responsibly while recognizing and protecting ourselves from its potential pitfalls. With thoughtfulness and moderation, we can make the most of this amazing technology during our leisure time.。

关于青少年上网的英语作文120词
关于青少年上网的英语作文120词全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Internet: A Whole New World for TeensHey there! My name is Jamie, and I'm a 10-year-old kid who loves to learn about the world. Today, I want to talk to you about something really cool and important – the internet and how teenagers use it.You might have heard your parents or teachers talk about the internet. It's like a huge library with billions of books, but instead of books, it's filled with websites, videos, games, and so much more! It's a vast world of information and entertainment that's available at our fingertips. Now, let me tell you about how teenagers, those cool older kids, use the internet. They're experts at navigating this digital world, and they use it for all sorts of things.First up, social media. You know, apps like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. Teens love using these apps to share pictures, videos, and updates with their friends. They can also follow theirfavorite celebrities, musicians, and influencers. It's like having a massive group chat with everyone you know, but way cooler!Another big thing for teens is online gaming. They can play all kinds of games, from action-packed adventures tomind-bending puzzles, with friends from all over the world. It's like having a never-ending sleepover with your buddies, but without the snoring and pillow fights (well, maybe some virtual pillow fights). But the internet isn't just for fun and games. Teens also use it for school and learning. They can research topics for their assignments, watch educational videos, and even take online classes. It's like having a personal tutor at their fingertips, except this tutor never gets cranky or assigns too much homework (or so I've heard).Parents and teachers also play a big role in helping teens use the internet responsibly. They can set rules and guidelines, monitor online activities, and teach teens about things like cyberbullying, online predators, and fake news. It's like having a trusted guide to help you explore this digital world safely.Overall, the internet is an incredible tool for teenagers. It opens up a world of possibilities for learning, connecting, andexpressing themselves. But it's important to use it wisely and responsibly, just like any other powerful tool. So, there you have it – a glimpse into the digital lives of teenagers and how they navigate the vast expanse of the internet. Pretty cool, right? Who knows, maybe one day you'll be a teenage internet expert too!篇2The Internet and Teens: A Whole New World OnlineHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm in 5th grade. Today I want to talk to you about something that's a huge part of my life and the lives of so many other kids my age - the internet! The internet is this amazing place where you can find information on pretty much anything you can imagine. Want to learn about ancient Egypt? Boom, there are websites galore with pictures, videos, and facts. Curious about how airplanes fly? No problem, just do a search and you'll get loads of explanations. It's like having the world's biggest library right at your fingertips! But the internet isn't just for learning. It's also where a lot of us spend our free time these days. There are games you can play, videos you can watch, and music you can listen to. My friendsand I are always sharing funny memes, videos of people's pets being silly, and the latest video game streams from our favorite YouTubers.Speaking of YouTube, that's probably the website I spend the most time on. You can literally find videos about anything on there - from science experiments to makeup tutorials to people just goofing around. It's endless entertainment! Sometimes I have to be careful not to fall into a total YouTube binge though. Before you know it, hours can go by!My parents are always warning me about being safe online and not talking to strangers or sharing personal information. That's really important. The internet can be a little bit of a wild west in that way - you never really know who you're talking to. I try to just stick to kid-friendly websites and not wander into any sketchy corners of the internet.Another thing my folks remind me about is internet addiction. It's really easy to get super hooked and spend wayyyyy too much time staring at a screen. I like to make sure I put time limits on myself and log off to go play outside, read a book, or hang out with friends IRL (that's "in real life" for you adults out there!). Balance is key.But overall, I think the internet is one of the coolest inventions ever. It puts so much information and entertainment right at our fingertips. I just have to be smart about how I use it. As long as I stay away from sketchy stuff, keep my personal info safe, and don't let it take over my whole life, then it's an awesome resource!Who knows what the internet will be like by the time I'm a teenager or an adult. Maybe we'll have augmented reality overlays or we'll be able to make hologram video calls. Maybe we'll have to use mind control to surf the web! Okay maybe not that last one, but who knows? The possibilities are endless in the digital age.Well, that's my take on being a kid in the internet era. It's exciting, a little scary, and above all, super cool to have the world at my fingertips like this. As long as we're smart and safe about it, I think the internet is going to open up so many opportunities for learning, creating, and exploring. It's already shaped my generation's childhood in a huge way, and I can't wait to see how it will keep evolving. The future is digital, dudes!篇3Being a Kid on the Internet These DaysHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 4th grader. I love using the internet and digital devices, but it can also be kind of tricky sometimes being online as a kid. I'll tell you all about my experiences! The internet is so awesome because there's just tons of cool stuff on there. My favorite sites are game sites where I can play fun online games, as well as sites with videos of people doing funny stunts or telling jokes. YouTube is one I visit a lot. I can literally spend hours just watching one video after another of people playing video games, doing challenges, or reacting to memes. It's endless entertainment!I'm also really into Roblox. It's this online game where you can play all different kinds of games that other people have created. My friends and I are constantly making new Roblox characters and worlds to explore together. We'll be on our tablets after school, video chatting, and working as a team to get through the games. It's a total blast!Social media is another big part of my internet life. I'm not old enough for most of the big apps yet, but I do have accounts on kid-friendly sites like Yoursphere. It's a little like Instagram for kids where you can share photos and videos, follow your friends, and leave comments. Of course, everything gets moderated tokeep things safe. I like being able to connect with my classmates there outside of school. My parents are always warning me about being careful online though. They say I shouldn't share any personal information or talk to strangers. They make sure all my accounts have strict privacy settings too. Sometimes it's annoying having so many rules, but I know they're just looking out for my safety. That's actually one of the trickier parts about being a kid on the internet - there's a lot of stuff out there that isn't really meant for young eyes and ears. I'll be watching a fun video and then an ad will pop up that's kind of inappropriate. Or my friends will send me memes that have bad words or mature jokes. It can be awkward when that stuff comes up. I usually just close it out right away.Cyberbullying is another thing I have to watch out for online. Most of the time everyone is cool with each other, but there's always a few kids who like to leave mean comments picking on people. I try to never engage with trolls like that. If it gets really bad, I'll tell my parents or a teacher so they can handle it.My parents recently started letting me do some online shopping on sites for kids too. It's fun being able to pick out my own clothes or toys for my birthday. But again, my parents haveto approve everything before I can actually buy it. They always double check that I'm not being tricked by scams or giving out any payment information. The internet can definitely be an awesome virtual playground, but there are a lot of potential dangers too when you're a minor. That's why it's so important for kids to have parents who stay involved and set smart limits. My parents make sure I use good judgement and keep my online experiences positive and healthy. At the end of the day though, the pros of the internet definitely outweigh the cons for me. It's how I learn new things through educational websites and videos. It's how I get to hang out and play with my friends even when we're not together in person. It's where I can explore my hobbies and interests through fan communities. The internet is an amazing resource for kids to have fun and express themselves. I feel lucky to be growing up in such a digitally connected world! As long as I follow some basic rules for safety, the internet will always be my favorite place to spend my free time.篇4The Internet and Us KidsThe internet is this really cool thing that lets you do all sorts of awesome stuff! My friends and I spend a lot of time on it, and it's become a huge part of our lives. I want to tell you all about how we use it and why it's so important to us.First off, the internet is like a massive library or encyclopedia that has information on pretty much everything you can imagine. Whenever I need to research something for a school project or just learn about a topic that interests me, I can easily find tons of articles, videos, and other resources online. It's way more fun than flipping through dusty old books! The internet has also become a major way for us to socialize and stay connected. We use apps like Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok to share updates, photos, and videos with our friends and family. It's like having a giant virtual playground where we can all hang out and have fun together, even if we're not physically in the same place. However, it's not all fun and games on the internet. There are also some risks and downsides that we need to be aware of. For example, there's a lot of false information and rumors that can spread quickly online, which is why it's important tofact-check things and only trust reliable sources. There are alsoissues like cyberbullying, online predators, and addictive behaviors that we need to watch out for. That's why our parents and teachers are always reminding us to be safe and responsible when using the internet. They teach us about things like online privacy, digital footprints, and healthy screen time habits. It's like they're giving us a special set of rules and guidelines to follow, so we can enjoy all the amazing benefits of the internet while avoiding the potential dangers. In my opinion, the internet is an incredible tool that has revolutionized the way we learn, play, and communicate. But it's also a powerful technology that needs to be used wisely and with caution, especially for us kids who are still learning and growing. As long as we follow the advice of our parents, teachers, and other trusted adults, and maintain a balanced approach to our internet usage, we can continue to reap the countless benefits it has to offer. The internet has already become an integral part of our lives, and I can only imagine how it will continue to shape and influence our generation as we grow older. So that's my take on the internet and how we kids are using it these days. It's an exciting and ever-evolving world out there in cyberspace, and we're just getting started on our journey of exploration and discovery. Who knows what amazing adventuresand possibilities await us in the digital realm? All I know is, I can't wait to find out!篇5The Internet and Being a TeenagerI may only be in elementary school, but I've heard a lot about how teenagers use the internet these days. From what I can tell, it's a really big part of their lives! I don't fully understand everything about it, but I'll share what I know. Most of the teenagers I see have their phones out constantly. They're always tapping away on them, even when they're hanging out with friends in person. I've heard them say they're texting their other friends, looking at social media like Instagram or TikTok, or watching videos online. It seems like they just can't put their phones down!My older cousin who is in high school told me there's a lot of pressure for teenagers to be active online and respond quickly to messages from their friends. He said if you don't answer right away, people might think you're ignoring them or being rude. It sounds pretty stressful having to be available on your phone all the time like that.Another thing I've noticed is how much teenagers seem to care about getting likes and comments on their social media posts. Some of them brag about how many likes their latest photo got. I don't fully understand what the big deal is, but it seems really important to a lot of them. From what I can gather, the internet lets teenagers connect with their friends and share stuff happening in their lives through social media. But at the same time, it also seems to create a lot of pressure and anxiety. It's like they have to put on a performance for everyone online and get validation through likes and comments. If they don't get enough, some of them get really upset about it.My parents have told me I shouldn't spend too much time online or get obsessed with social media when I'm a teenager. They say it's important to live in the real world and have real face-to-face interactions with people. Sometimes I think adults worry too much, but maybe they have a point about taking breaks from the internet.Overall, being a teenager today seems really different from when my parents were that age because of how much is centered around the internet and social media. It allows them to connect in cool ways, but it also appears to create a bunch ofnew problems and pressures that didn't exist before. I'm glad I don't have to deal with all that stuff quite yet!I know this doesn't cover everything about how teenagers use the internet, but those are some of the big things I've noticed from the outside looking in. Who knows what it will be like by the time I'm actually a teenager myself? Maybe things will be totally different. For now, I'll just keep observing my older cousins and neighbors to get a better idea of what it's really like.篇6The Internet is Awesome...and Kinda Scary!Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. My teacher asked us to write about our thoughts on teenagers using the internet. Well, I have some big opinions on that!First off, the internet is SO COOL! There's pretty much anything you can imagine on there - funny videos, amazing pictures, endless information on every topic. It really is like a huge library/movie theater/arcade/you-name-it contained in our computers and phones. My mind is blown by how much stuff is online!I spend a bunch of time on educational websites for school projects and to learn about topics I'm interested in, like dinosaurs or ancient Egypt. But I also love going on games sites and letting off some steam after a long day. Games are just way better online - infinite choices and you can play against people all around the world!Speaking of the world, isn't it crazy how the internet connects everybody across the entire planet? With social media, I can message my cousins in Australia or video chat with friends from my old school. We're never really alone when we're online. There's this huge, bustling global community out there 24/7.That global connection is what makes the internet such an exciting place. But it's also what makes it a little scary sometimes. My parents are always warning me about online safety and the potential dangers from strangers or inappropriate content. They have all these parental controls and blocks set up to try to protect me.I get why they do it, because you really can't ever be too careful. There's a whole seedy underbelly to the internet filled with hackers, scammers, creeps, and weirdos of all kinds. It's like a massive urban jungle where anyone could be lurking aroundany corner. You have to be really cautious about what sites you visit and who you interact with.My parents enforce pretty strict internet rules - No sharing personal info, only visiting kid-friendly sites, limited hours online each day, etc. Following those rules is crucial to staying safe. But part of me still worries about the unknown risks and threats that could exist out there in cyberspace. It's unsettling knowing there are dark corners of the web where toxic people and illegal stuff proliferate. That's why when it comes to teenagers and their internet usage, I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I'm super jealous of how much freedom they must have to explore everywhere and connect with anyone. The internet is this vast frontier and they get to roam wherever they want out there. That's such an amazing asset for learning, creating content, finding community - you name it.But on the other hand, I'm glad I'm still pretty sheltered from the seedier sides of the web. The internet can be a perilous place filled with mature content, misinformation, and malicious people. I'm honestly kind of terrified at the thought of exploring too far without my parents' protective guidance. Who knows what corrupting influences or traumatic stuff I could encounter? So for now, I'm happy sticking to relatively tame, regulated corners of the internet. But once I'm a teenager, you'd better believe I'll be expanding my horizons! The internet offers unparalleled opportunities for older kids and teens who have the maturity to navigate it responsibly. We just have to be aware of the hazards and ethical pitfalls that can so easily arise out there. The internet is the closest thing we have to a boundless global marketplace of ideas, media, and human connection. For teenagers finally gaining that unbridled access, it must feel like the world has been opened up to them in endlessly exciting ways. But with that mind-blowing level of access comes serious obligations to use it wisely.I definitely worry a bit about the internet's potential to expose teens to toxicity, undue influences, and inappropriate stuff before they're truly ready. We're still just kids trying to figure out the world and ourselves. Some areas of the online world are way too mature or haunting for young minds. But if teenagers are smart, thoughtful, and conscientious about their internet habits, it can be an invaluable tool for learning, expressing ourselves, and experiencing different perspectives. The internet's role in teenagers' lives ultimately comes down to how we leverage it - for good and enrichment, orfor harm and corruption. With the right guidance and critical thinking skills, the internet can be a positive force for personal growth and understanding others.Just like anything else, using the internet requires balance, ethics, and street smarts. If today's teenagers cultivate those qualities, the internet's unprecedented connectivity could bind the next generation together like never before in human history. But if we get reckless or careless with it, the internet's darker elements and false realities could just as easily isolate or mess us up.So whether you're a teen, tween, or kid just getting started online, respect it as the incredible privilege it is to have that much knowledge and culture at your fingertips! The internet has flaws and dangers, sure, but it also represents unimaginable opportunities for us to grow and understand each other through open dialogue and idea-sharing.If today's teens use this powerful tool responsibly, we can make the online world an amazing place for sharing our diverse stories and bringing the human family closer and closer together. But it's on all of us to uphold ethics, balance, and human decency online. We get to choose whether the internet ultimately unites or divides us.Pretty heavy stuff, I know! But those are my intense, mixed feelings on teenagers and the internet. It's exciting, it's scary, it's fascinating, it's toxic, it's educational, it's...well, everything! As we get older and gain more access, it'll be up to us to be good digital citizens and shape the online world for the better. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got an algebra lesson to finish on Khan Academy. Happy safe internetting, everyone!。
