P:好了，今天我们继续学习5个俚语。。。

P:yep,kickthebucket,bucket表示踢，bucket表示水桶，难道，kickthebucket表示提水桶吗？？K：Kickthebugget是俚语，所以当然不能用它的字面意思来理解咯。其实，kickthebucket这个俚语跟老美的杀猪习惯有关，过去他们在杀猪时，总是把猪倒吊在bucket桶上，然后在猪的脖子上划一刀，开始放血，猪垂死挣扎时就会拼命地kick 踢那个桶，因此kickthebucket实际上是对―死‖的隐晦说明，跟我们汉语里的―翘辫子‖是一回事。

P：这时候观众就可以领取雨票RaincHEcK，或者是用员票根作为雨票，来当做观看改期比赛的入场凭证。之后raincheck又慢慢演变成了―改天、换个时间‖的意思。
