Just like a heroine, in my thought, she was not afraid of the most horrible thing.Because of the heroine，I began to learn how to deal with these unexpected nuisances whether serious or not. I began to know there were so many stones in everyone's life and so many people were defeated by them. I began to avoid them at first, then beat then, and finally catch them and put these scary but precious things into my pocket. Because I knew, when I crossed the long river of my life, they would be my steeping-stones to keep balance, and when I climbed the mountain to my success, they would change into my stone-stairs to help me get to a higher place. I regarded them as my friends and got along with them calmly.Just like what I have said at the beginning, I'm still a little afraid of stones. I know that I have to keep a respectful heart to them for once they were my enemies and now my rewarding friends.So please be careful to your own stones. Ladies and gentlemen, good morning. It’s my great honor to be here and give you a short speech. Today my topic is “The Stones, G roping to Growth”.Before I start my speech, I want to ask you all: have you ever heard the story “Little Horse Crossing the Riv er”? The little horse doesn’t know the depth of the water and does not dare to cross the river. So he asks around, everybody gives him different answers according to their own experience. It makes him even more scared of the river than before. After a long struggle, he finally takes the courage to try it himself, and realizes that the river is neither as shallow as the cow said nor as deep as the little squirrel said.I also experienced a confusing period like the little horse when …. I have always been kee n to experience everything in life, and hence I believe I’m of versatile tastes. This kind of cleverness leads me to think that I can be good at many things. To me, all the things I want to try is like rivers to cross. With just a few steps into the water, I can enjoy all the fun freely, jumping and running in the water; moving forward, the water gets higher, it is still full of fun and excitement; yet when I’m approaching the middle of the river, I find myself surrounded by water, and I can’t see where I c an go. I start to get scared and confused and don't know what to do.Then one day, I saw the words “new media”. It’s j ust like a huge stone holding me up out of the water, so I can have a broader view around. “I can do it,” “I want to do it,” again, I have a determined mind of what I want to do and where I want to go, since I can see that writing would be my footing stone out of the water. these kinds of knowledge I have seen about knowing myself are coming in like water, which let me suddenly realize that my fish bait is writing. But when I realized that only with the core competitiveness of the individual can stand up, I know I don't have it at all. However, having a direction does not mean that my problem has been solved. Although I wrote a lot of articl es, I didn’t dare to submit, for fear that others would refuse me because I didn’t write well enough. I started to doubt myself again. I don't believe in myself and I am not sure if I can do it well.Then again, I found myself lost in the vast water. At this time, the little horse story came into my mind. 今天我想跟大家分享一次我参加外研社演讲的亲身经历，那可真是一次让我终身难忘的“冒险”。
那是一个阳光明媚的早晨，我收到了外研社演讲比赛的通知。
当时的我，心里既兴奋又紧张。
兴奋的是，这是一个展示自己的好机会；紧张的是，我不知道自己能不能在众多优秀的选手中脱颖而出。
为了这次演讲，我可是下了大功夫。
首先就是选题，我纠结了好久，一会儿觉得这个主题有趣，一会儿又觉得那个主题更有深度。
最后，在老师和朋友们的建议下，我选定了一个关于“文化交流与融合”的主题。
接下来就是写演讲稿了，我把自己关在房间里，整整两天，不停地查阅资料、构思框架、组织语言。
那两天，我感觉自己就像一个“写作狂人”，连吃饭都在想着怎么能把稿子写得更精彩。
稿子终于写好了，可这只是万里长征的第一步。
接下来的日子里，我开始了疯狂的练习。
每天早上起来，第一件事就是对着镜子大声朗读演讲稿，一边读一边注意自己的表情和手势。
晚上睡觉前，还要再默默地在心里过几遍。
就连走路的时候，我都在嘴里念叨着演讲稿的内容，好几次差点撞到电线杆上。
到了比赛的那天，我早早地来到了现场。
看着其他选手们自信满满的样子，我的心里又开始打起了鼓。
比赛开始了，一个又一个选手上台演讲，他们的表现都非常出色，这让我的压力更大了。
终于轮到我上场了，我深吸一口气，走上了讲台。
当我看到台下那一双双期待的眼睛时，我的大脑突然一片空白。
我心里暗暗叫苦：“完了完了，这下要出丑了。

Today, the organization helps to maintain and restore the most important places from our history.Now, I’m going to introduce the Stonehenge to you. Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire. It is one of the most famous sites in the world, and it is a circular setting of large standing stones. Archaeologists believe the stone monument was constructed anywhere from 3000 BC to 2000 BC.Let me tell you a little story.The Heel Stone lies just outside the main entrance to the Stonehenge. For my perspective, the stone is my direction，leading me to move forward step by step.For a long vacation, I am accustomed to traveling, especially, climbing mountains from which I can refresh myself physically and mentally. In the course of climbing a mountain, feeling the stones When I touch every stone, it means I am much closer to the goal.One the another hand, the stones are the obstacles, in the way of my growth, which remind me to change or impove myself all the time. When I was a freshman, I didn't know what to do in the future. However, I didn't want to squander my time and I tried my best to catch every opportunity to better myself. The first time I failed, I just comforted myself: The failure is the mother of success. The second, I told myself : never, never, never give up just like Churchill. The third, the fourth (I)managed to relieve myself all the time. It's until a teacher criticized me not to prepare well before the match. All of asudden, I couldn't help but burst into tears. At that time, I realized that I couldn't confront it any more.Several days later, faced with the suffering, I reflected myself deeply.
