想去当志愿者的自荐信英文英语作文

想去当志愿者的自荐信英文英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Desire to Become a VolunteerEver since I was a young child, I have been drawn to helping others and making a positive impact on the world around me. The idea of volunteering has always appealed to me, as it represents an opportunity to contribute something meaningful and make a tangible difference in people's lives. As I've grown older and gained more life experience, this innate desire to be of service has only solidified, and I am now wholeheartedly committed to pursuing volunteer work.My decision to volunteer stems from a profound belief in the inherent interconnectedness of humanity. We are all part of the same global community, and our actions, no matter how small, can have far-reaching consequences. By dedicating my time and effort to causes greater than myself, I am not only helping those in need but also fostering a sense of unity and compassion that can ripple outward and inspire others to do the same.Furthermore, I firmly believe that volunteering is a mutually beneficial endeavor. While the primary focus is on providing assistance to those who require it, the act of volunteering also enriches the lives of those who give their service. It presents an opportunity for personal growth, self-discovery, and the development of invaluable skills that can be applied in various aspects of life. Through volunteering, I hope to cultivate empathy, patience, and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by diverse communities. One area that particularly resonates with me is working with underprivileged children and youth. As someone who was fortunate enough to have a stable upbringing, I feel a strong sense of responsibility to help create opportunities for those who may not have had the same advantages. Education is a fundamental right, and yet countless children around the world lack access to quality education or even basic literacy skills. By volunteering in educational initiatives, I can contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering the next generation with the tools they need to reach their full potential.Additionally, I am passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability. The health of our planet is inextricably linked to the well-being of all life forms, and it is ourcollective duty to protect and preserve the natural world for future generations. I envision myself volunteering in projects focused on reforestation, wildlife conservation, or promoting sustainable practices within local communities. Throughhands-on work and education, I hope to raise awareness about the urgent need for environmental stewardship and inspire others to adopt more eco-friendly lifestyles.Another area of interest for me is working with marginalized or underrepresented communities. Whether it's supporting refugees, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, or assisting individuals with disabilities, I am committed to promoting inclusivity, equality, and social justice. By immersing myself in these diverse communities, I can gain a deeper understanding of the unique challenges they face and work to dismantle systemic barriers and prejudices.Of course, volunteering is not without its challenges. It requires a significant investment of time, energy, and emotional resilience. There may be moments of frustration, disappointment, or even burnout. However, I am prepared to face these challenges head-on, knowing that the rewards of making a positive impact far outweigh any temporary setbacks or difficulties. Moreover, I am committed to approaching volunteer work with an open mind and a willingness to learn. I understand that every community and every individual has their own unique stories, perspectives, and needs. Rather than imposing my own preconceived notions or solutions, I aim to listen actively, respect cultural differences, and tailor my approach to the specific context in which I am working.Through volunteering, I hope to not only make a tangible difference in the lives of others but also to inspire those around me to embrace a spirit of service and compassion. By leading by example and sharing my experiences, I can encourage others to step outside their comfort zones and explore the transformative power of giving back.Ultimately, my desire to become a volunteer is rooted in a deep-seated belief that small acts of kindness and service can collectively create ripples of change that reverberate throughout the world. It is a path that aligns with my values, my passions, and my unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. I am eager to embark on this journey, ready to face challenges head-on, and driven by the knowledge that every effort, no matter how small, can contribute to a more just, equitable, and sustainable world for all.篇2Subject: Volunteer Application - Liam HendersonDear Sir/Madam,I am writing to express my keen interest in volunteering with your esteemed organization. 我想当一个志愿者自荐信英文作文

我想当一个志愿者自荐信英文作文

我想当一个志愿者自荐信英文作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1Sure, here's a 2000-word essay written from the perspective of an elementary school student who wants to be a volunteer, written in English:My Dream to Be a VolunteerHi there! My name is Jamie, and I'm a 10-year-old kid who loves helping others. Ever since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to be a volunteer. I know it might sound strange for someone my age to have such a big dream, but I really believe that volunteering is one of the most important things anyone can do.You see, I've always been taught that we should try to make the world a better place, even in small ways. My parents always tell me stories about how they used to volunteer when they were younger, and how rewarding it felt to give back to the community. They say that helping others is one of the best ways to spread kindness and make a positive difference.I remember the first time I really understood what volunteering was all about. It was during a school field trip to a local animal shelter. We got to play with the dogs and cats, and help feed them. I could see how happy the animals were to have us there, and how much they appreciated the attention and care we gave them. It made me feel really good inside, knowing that I was making their day a little brighter. After that trip, I started thinking about all the other ways I could volunteer and help people or animals in need. I started doing small things like helping my neighbor carry their groceries or shoveling their driveway after a snowstorm. I also started collecting canned goods and donating them to the local food bank. It might not seem like much, but I knew that every little bit helped. As I got older, I started to learn more about the different types of volunteering opportunities out there. I was amazed at how many different ways there were to give back. From building homes for the homeless to tutoring kids who needed extra help with their schoolwork, there were so many ways to make a difference. One thing that really caught my interest was environmental volunteering. I've always loved nature and animals, and I hateseeing how much pollution and damage is being done to our planet. That's why I've started volunteering with a local environmental group that cleans up parks and beaches. We pick up trash, plant trees, and do whatever we can to help keep our community clean and green.Another cause that's really important to me is helping the elderly. My grandparents live in a nursing home, and I've seen firsthand how much they appreciate visitors and companionship. That's why I've started volunteering at a local retirement home, where I read books, play games, and just spend time with the residents. It's amazing how much joy a simple conversation can bring to someone who might not get many visitors.Of course, volunteering isn't always easy. Sometimes it can be tiring or even a little bit boring. But whenever I start to feel that way, I remind myself of how important it is to keep going. Every little bit of help counts, and every act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life. That's why I'm so passionate about becoming a volunteer. I know that I might just be one kid, but I truly believe that if we all work together, we can make the world a better place. Whether it's helping animals, cleaning up the environment, or justspending time with someone who needs a friend, there are so many ways to spread kindness and make a positive impact. So if you're reading this and you're wondering if you should become a volunteer too, my answer is a big YES! Don't be afraid to start small – every little bit helps. And who knows? Maybe one day you'll find a cause that you're just as passionate about as I am.Because at the end of the day, that's what volunteering is all about: using your time and energy to make someone else's life a little bit better. And if we all do our part, imagine how much good we can do for our communities and for the world. So that's my dream: to be a volunteer and help make the world a kinder, happier place, one act of kindness at a time. It might sound like a big goal for a kid like me, but I truly believe that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. And who knows? Maybe one day, when I'm all grown up, I'll look back and realize that my dream came true in ways I never could have imagined.篇2My Dream to Become a VolunteerHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 9 years old. I'm in the 4th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. I love playing outside, reading fun books, and spending time with my family and friends. But today, I want to talk to you about something really important to me - becoming a volunteer.Ever since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to help others. I'm not sure exactly why, but it just feels right to me. Maybe it's because my parents are always doing kind things for our neighbors and telling me how good it feels to lend a hand. Or maybe it's because I see volunteers working hard at school events, parks, and anywhere people need some extra help. Whatever the reason, volunteering gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside! There are so many ways I dream about volunteering when I get a little older. One idea I have is helping out at an animal shelter. I LOVE puppies and kittens so much! Imagine how happy I would be getting to play with them, feed them, and give them cuddles and belly rubs while they wait for their forever homes. A family just adopted the cutest little yorkie named Sprinkles from the animal shelter down the street. She is so sweet and makes everyone smile. I would love to help take care of animals like her.Another one of my volunteer dreams is reading books to kids at the library or elementary schools. Reading is one of my absolute favorite things in the world. Getting lost in a good book's imaginary world of adventures, fantasies, or wild journeys is just the coolest feeling ever. I'm a pretty good reader too! I love using different voices for all the characters and really bringing the stories to life. Wouldn't it be awesome to share that joy and magic of reading with other kids? We could go on so many fun make-believe trips together all just by opening a book!Speaking of reading, I also really want to volunteer tutoring kids who need help with their schoolwork. School is pretty easy for me, especially math and English classes. But I know there are lots of other kids who don't find it as easy as I do. I've seen how frustrating it can be for them when they don't understand something. As a tutor, I could be the one to help explain things in a simple, fun way until that light bulb finally clicks and they get it! Getting to see that proud smile on their face when a hard concept starting making sense would definitely be the best reward.Another potential volunteer idea that gets me excited is helping out at food banks and shelters for people who don't have homes or enough to eat. My heart feels so heavy anytime Ithink about people struggling without life's most basic needs. I can't even imagine what that must feel like. Knowing I could play a small part in making sure they have food on their plate or even just putting a roof over their heads is something I definitely want to do. Plus, spending time with those people and learning about their stories seems like it could teach me so many valuable lessons too.I've also thought about doing beach or park clean-ups to help protect nature and the environment. Keeping our neighborhoods, forests, rivers and oceans looking beautiful and free of litter is seriously important. Animals can get really hurt if they eat trash or get stuck in it. It makes me so sad to see pictures of fish or birds caught in those plastic six-pack rings. As a volunteer, I could help pick up all that trash and recycling so our planet stays healthy and clean for all the critters who call it home.Lastly, one of the things I'm most excited about is volunteering at hospitals to cheer up kids who are really sick. Can you imagine how hard it must be to be a little kid stuck in the hospital all day? No playing outside, no running around, no fun! Just having to rest, take medicine, and be poked with needles? No thank you! But having a visitor come read books, tell jokes, oreven just give a friendly high five could hopefully make them feel a little bit better, even if just for a little while. Bringing smiles to kids going through such a tough time would make me feeling like A superhero! Those are just some of the ideas I have about where I'd love to volunteer my time when I'm older. As you can probably tell, the list is pretty long because helping others brings me so much joy and happiness. It makes my heart feel warm to think about doing something positive that could truly make someone else's day a little brighter.Of course, there's still a few years before I'm old enough to become an official volunteer. But I'm already trying my hardest to be a helper now, even as a kid! I do little things like holding doors for people, offering篇3My Name is Billy and I'm 10 Years OldHi there! My name is Billy and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. I love playing sports like soccer and basketball. My favorite subjects are science and art class. I'm writing to you today because I really want to be a volunteer!I think it's so important to help others and give back to the community. My parents are always telling me how lucky I am and that there are many kids out there who don't have all the things I have. They taught me that just because someone doesn't have a lot of money or toys or things like that, it doesn't make them any less important. Everyone deserves kindness and respect. Why I Want to VolunteerThere are a few main reasons why I want to volunteer. First, I love meeting new people and making friends. Volunteering would allow me to interact with all kinds of different people that I wouldn't normally get to meet at school or around my neighborhood. I'm a really friendly kid and I get along with almost everybody!Second, I have a lot of energy and I always want to stay active and busy. I think volunteering would be a great way for me to spend my time in a productive way, helping others instead of just sitting around. With volunteering, I could put all my youthful energy to good use!Third, I want to learn some important life skills through volunteering. Things like responsibility, time management, leadership, and teamwork. I know volunteering will help memature and grow as a person. It will get me ready for bigger challenges and responsibilities later in life.My Skills and QualitiesEven though I'm just a 10-year-old kid, I have a lot of great skills and qualities that would make me an excellent volunteer. Here are some of my strengths:• I'm extremely h ardworking and dedicated - When I commit to something, I always see it through to the end and give it my full effort. I don't quit easily.• I'm a great teammate and I work really well with others - I'm not selfish at all. I share nicely and I'm a good listener who follows directions carefully.• I'm very responsible and mature for my age - My parents and teachers are always complimenting me on how responsible I am compared to other kids my age.• I'm creative and I think outside the box - I come up with unique ideas and solutions that adults might not consider. My creative thinking could be an asset.• I'm caring, compassionate and I have a big heart - I really care about others and I want to help make their lives better in any way I can. What I Hope to GainIf I'm chosen to be a volunteer, there are many things I hope to gain and learn from the experience. Of course, the main thing is that I'll feel really good about myself knowing that I'm helping others and making a positive difference in the world. That's the most rewarding feeling there is!I also hope volunteering will help me discover my true calling in life and what I'm truly passionate about. Maybe I'll find that I love working with kids and I'll want to be a teacher one day. Or perhaps I'll really enjoy volunteering at an animal shelter and decide I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up. This could help guide my future career path.Volunteering somewhere will also allow me to step out of my comfort zone, face my fears, and become more brave and confident. I tend to be a bit shy sometimes, so this will help me work on my social skills and public speaking abilities. It will make me a well-rounded person. In addition, I'll get to learn so many practical hands-on skills through volunteering that they don't teach you in school. Skills like cooking, gardening, construction, childcare, first aid, and more. This knowledge will really give me a head start in life.My Commitment to VolunteeringI hope I've convinced you that despite my young age, I'm ready to take on the big responsibility of being a volunteer. I promise to commit myself fully if you give me this opportunity. You can count on me to:• Arrive on time for every shift, dressed appropriately• Follow all rules, instructions and procedures• Put in 100% effort and have a positive, can-do attitude• Treat others with kindness, respect and courtesy at all times• Be a role model and set a good example for other kids• Not complain, make excuses or give up easily if things get tough• Keep learning, growing and doing better each dayI'm a very mature, dedicated and hard-working young man. I may be small, but I have a huge heart for helping others. Volunteering is my chance to make the world a little bit better. I hope you'll consider me!Thank you so much for your time.Sincerely,Billy篇4My Dream to Become a VolunteerHi there! My name is Emily and I am 10 years old. I go to Oakwood Elementary School and I am in the 5th grade. I really love my school and all of my teachers and friends there. But today I don't want to talk about school stuff. Instead, I want to share my big dream with you!You see, for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to become a volunteer. A volunteer is someone who chooses to help others out for free, without getting paid. They do it simply because they are kind people who care about making the world a better place. How amazing is that?I think volunteers are real-life superheroes. They have huge hearts and they use their time and energy to support people in need. Some volunteers help out at food banks or shelters. Others visit sick kids in hospitals to cheer them up. Some even travel to other countries to build schools or homes! No matter what theydo, volunteers make such a positive difference. They put smiles on people's faces and give them hope.Ever since I was a little kid, I've felt this strong urge inside me to be that kind of person - someone who helps others and gives back. I'm not sure why I feel that way, I just do. Maybe it's because my parents and teachers have always taught me how important it is to be caring, generous, and community-minded. Or maybe it's just part of my personality to want to do good in the world. Either way, the dream of being a volunteer has been stuck in my heart and mind for years!I'll never forget the first time the idea of volunteering really clicked for me. It was when I was about 6 years old...My family was visiting my grandparents for the holidays. While the grownups were busy cooking and decorating, my little brother and I went outside to play in the snow. We were having a total blast making snow angels and tossing snowballs at each other. Suddenly, I looked over and noticed an elderly neighbor trying to shovel the snow off his driveway and walkway. The large shovel looked quite heavy for him and he seemed exhausted, struggling to lift it with his frail arms.Without hesitating, I grabbed my small plastic shovel from our backyard and rushed over to the neighbor's house. "Here, letme help you!" I exclaimed as I started digging away at the snow. My brother quickly joined in too with his shovel. The three of us worked as a team to clear off that entire area. When we finished, the neighbor had tears in his eyes. "Thank you so much," he said as he gave us both a hug. "You two are the kindest, most wonderful children."In that moment, I felt like I was ten feet tall! Just the simple act of shoveling some snow had brought so much relief and happiness to that man. I realized then how amazing it feels to lend a hand and put a smile on someone's face. A warm, tingly, joyful sensation grew inside me - the very first spark of my dream to volunteer. From then on, I was hooked! I started looking for more and more opportunities to pitch in and help others, even if it was just a small act of kindness...I would accompany my mom when she deliveredhome-baked goods to new neighbors to welcome them to the community. When my teacher asked for a student volunteer to help clean up the art room after school, my hand would shooting up eagerly.During the holidays, I loved ringing the bell and collecting donations for charity fundraisers.Whenever there was a chance to lend a hand and be of service, I jumped at it! It made me feel so good to aid others and bring some light to their day.Now that I'm older, my dream of volunteering has only grown stronger. I spend a lot of time thinking about all the incredible ways I can make a positive impact someday...I could volunteer at an animal shelter, feeding and playing with cats and dogs who need love while they await their forever homes.I could travel to developing countries and teach English or build homes for families in need of shelter.I could plant trees and gardens to better protect our environment.Or I could simply continue helping out in my local community - serving meals at a soup kitchen, visiting the elderly at a nursing home, or collecting canned goods for food drives. The possibilities to do good are endless! Sometimes I lay awake at night, feeling bursting with excitement over all the remarkable volunteer work I hope to do someday.I know that being a volunteer won't be easy. It will require a lot of hard work, patience, and sacrifice. I'm sure there will be tough days when I'll feel tired, frustrated or sad seeing the difficulties some people face. But I am ready for the challenge! I have a big heart and I'm prepared to pour every ounce of love and effort into supporting those in need. Some kids my age dream of becoming astronauts, pro athletes, movie stars or superheroes when they grow up. Those are all well and good, but my own dream is to be a superhero in real life - by becoming a volunteer! A superhero's job is to help others and change the world for the better. And that's exactly what I aim to do.When I put on that imaginary volunteer cape, I will get to:Feed the hungryShelter the homelesssEducate the uneducatedRescue the helplessLend a hand to anyone in needJust thinking about all the ways I can be a force for good in this world fills my heart with joy and determination!I can't篇5I Want to Be a Volunteer!Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I go to Oakwood Elementary School and I'm in 5th grade. I really, really want to become a volunteer because I love helping others and making people smile. It makes me feel so good inside when I can do something kind for someone else.I think I would make an awesome volunteer for lots of reasons. First of all, I'm a very caring and compassionate person. Whenever one of my friends is feeling sad or upset about something, I always try my best to cheer them up. I'll tell jokes, give them a big hug, or just listen if they need to talk about what's bothering them. My parents say I'm a natural nurturer.I'm also an extremely hard worker who never gives up easily. If I commit to doing something, you can count on me to give it my all until the task is completed. Take my school science fair project last year, for example. I spent weeks researching, building my volcano model, and practicing my presentation. All that hard work paid off because I ended up winning first prize! I was so proud of myself for sticking with it.In addition to being caring and hard-working, I'm a fantastic team player. I love working cooperatively with others towards a shared goal. At recess, I always make sure to include everyone when we play games like kickball or four square. I think good communication and respect for each other is really important when you're working as a team. I'm also a really good listener who pays attention to other people's ideas and suggestions.Another skill I have that would make me an awesome volunteer is my creativity. I'm constantly coming up with innovative ideas and using my imagination to solve problems in fun, new ways. Just last month, I entered an Earth Day poster contest at school and won first place for my colorful design made out of recycled materials. The art teacher said she was really impressed by how inventive and unique my project was.Speaking of art, that's one area where I could put my talents to great use as a volunteer. I really enjoy doing crafts and could lead fun art activities with kids or seniors. I can draw, paint, make jewelry, sculpt with clay - you name it! I bet the people I volunteered with would have a blast getting their creative juices flowing.Or maybe I could put my awesome reading skills to work and volunteer at a library or an after-school program. I'm anextremely advanced reader for my age and devouring books is one of my biggest hobbies. I'd have no problem reading stories out loud in a dramatic, engaging way that would captivate the audience. I could even teach little kids the basics of reading and help them practice their skills. If volunteering involved working with animals, that would be a dream come true for me! I'm a total animal lover and my favorite channel is Animal Planet. I think I have a special way with critters and they seem to be naturally drawn to my nurturing, patient energy. Can't you just picture me volunteering to rock abandoned baby puppies or kittens at an animal shelter? Or helping to feed and clean the habitats of rescued wildlife? I would be in absolute heaven!Fitness and sports are other areas where I could volunteer my time and skills. I'm always running around at recess and have a bunch of energy to burn. It would be super fun to help younger kids learn skills like kicking or catching a ball. Or I could be a coach's assistant for youth sports teams, setting up equipment, leading warm-ups, fetching waters, cheering everyone on from the sidelines - whatever is needed! I'm also a really good swimmer and could help out at a pool over the summer if theyneeded an extra hand watching over the little kids in the shallow end.Ultimately, I think I'd make such an amazing volunteer because I'm enthusiastic about virtually everything I do. Learning new skills, taking on challenges, meeting new people - it all gets me totally fired up and eager to get started. And even though I'm just a kid, I can bring lots of special talents and qualifications to the table. My compassion, drive, team spirit, creativity, and well-roundedness are some of my biggest assets. So there you have it - all the reasons why you should pick me as one of your newest and most passionate volunteers! I promise to always show up with a big smile, a can-do attitude, and my heart committed to the cause. I'll work as hard as I can to make a positive difference, no matter what task I'm taking on. Just give me a chance to shine and I know you'll be impressed. Thanks for your consideration!。

英语作文申请信申请当志愿者优势全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Name is Suzy and I am 10 Years OldHi there! My name is Suzy and I am 10 years old. I am writing to you today because I really want to be a volunteer. I think being a volunteer would be super fun and I can help out a whole lot too!I go to Oakwood Elementary School and I am in the 5th grade. My favorite subjects are art class and recess. Art is my favorite because I love drawing pictures and making crafts. Recess is also really fun because I get to run around outside and play games with my friends. At school, the teachers are always telling us that we need to be kind and helpful to others. I try my best to follow the rules and be a good student. I raise my hand and wait to be called on in class. I keep my desk area neat and clean up after myself. And I'm always willing to lend a hand to my classmates when they need assistance. For example, just last week Sally couldn't reach the box of colored pencils on the high shelf. I noticed she was having trouble so I went right over and got the box down for her. She gave me a big smile and said "thank you!" It felt really good to help out.Another way I like to help out at school is by being a crossing guard. Every morning and afternoon, some students get to wear the bright safety vests and help little kids cross the street safely. The crossing guards hold up stop signs to make the cars stop so the kids can cross. It's a very important job! Whenever it's my turn, I take it super seriously. At home, I also do chores to help out my mom and dad. Every day after school, I make sure to clean up my room and put my dirty clothes in the laundry basket. On weekends, I have to make my bed, dust the furniture, and help set the table for meals. It's not my favorite thing to do, but I know it makes life easier for my parents.I really enjoy feeling helpful and lending a hand wherever I can. That's why I want to be a volunteer - so I can help out even more! As a volunteer, I would be ready and willing to do all kinds of tasks. If you need someone to hand out flyers or put up posters about an event, I'm your girl! I can run around and put them up everywhere. As long as you give me a roll of tape or some tacks, those flyers will be super visible. I'm little but I'm fast!Or if you need an extra pair of hands to set up for an event, just tell me what to do. I can help carry supplies, arrange chairs, decorate the space - you name it! I'm strong for my size and I follow directions carefully.Maybe you need a cheerful greeter to welcome people when they arrive. I give great high fives and have a billion dollar smile! I can make people feel right at home. Just show me where to stand and I'll stay at my post.If there are games or activities for kids happening, I could absolutely help out with those too. I know tons of games and could help explain the rules. I'm also a whiz at face painting, making balloon animals, and crafting. The kids would have an absolute blast!During events, I could even lend a hand by passing out snacks and drinks to keep people hydrated and happy. I'll make sure to use a "neat pour" like my parents taught me so I don't spill everywhere. And you can count on me to give the right snack to anyone with food allergies - I'm super responsible. When it's time to clean up after everything is done, I'll be first in line to start picking up trash and breaking down boxes. I have lots of energy so I can work really hard until the job is done. And if I get tired, I'll just pop a snack and keep on going!Overall, I think I would make an awesome volunteer because I'm hard working, follow rules, and genuinely care about helping others. It makes me happy to see people smile when I lend a hand. I never complain or goof off - I take my responsibilities seriously. You can count on me!So pretty please can I be a volunteer? I promise to always do my best work and make you proud. Let me know if you need any other information from me. I'll be waiting by the phone (or my mom's phone, I don't have one yet)!Thank you for your time!Sincerely,Suzy篇2Dear Volunteer Coordinators,My name is Samantha and I'm 10 years old. I'm writing to you today because I really want to volunteer at the animal shelter.I think I would be a great volunteer because I love animals so much! I've had my dog Rufus since I was a baby and he's my very best friend. I always take such good care of him by feeding him, walking him, brushing him, and giving him lots of pets and belly rubs.I'm kind of an expert on dogs because my dad is a veterinarian. I've learned so much from him about how to properly care for dogs and other animals. I know what kinds of foods are healthy for them, how to make sure they get enough exercise, and all the signs that show if an animal isn't feeling well. Whenever my dad brings home a stray animal from the clinic, I'm always the one who helps take care of it until we can find it a forever home.Another reason I would be an awesome volunteer is that I'm a really hard worker. I get straight A's at school because I never goof off during class. I always get my homework done right after school before I go out to play. My parents say I'm very responsible for my age. I'm never late for anything and I always keep my room clean and tidy. If you let me volunteer, you can count on me to show up on time and give it my all.I may be just a kid, but I'm really mature for my age. I know how to follow rules and instructions very carefully. I'm a goodlistener and quick learner too. I'll make sure to pay close attention during the volunteer training so I can do everything correctly and be a big helper, not a burden. You won't have to constantly look over my shoulder because I'll take being a volunteer seriously.Volunteering at an animal shelter will be so much fun, but I also know it's hard work. I'm ready to put in the effort though! I don't mind getting my hands dirty or cleaning up messes. I've helped my dad give baths to stinky dogs at the vet clinic more times than I can count. I already know not to be afraid of slobber, scratches, or dog hair all over my clothes. Whatever needs to be done, I'll jump right in with a big smile.I promise I'll be gentle with all the animals and follow the safety rules for handling them. My mom says I have a really calm energy that makes animals feel at ease around me. I'll make sure to move slowly and speak softly so I don't scare the timid ones. The backyards of my friends with pets are always filled with cats, rabbits, and squirrels that seem drawn to me!In addition to caring for the animals, I can also help with other tasks like answering phones, doing office work, and cleaning up around the shelter. I'm happy to pitch in however Ican to make sure the shelter runs smoothly. I'm a team player and happy to do my part.I know I'm just a little kid, but I have a gigantic heart for helping animals in need. Volunteering at the shelter is my dream come true! I may be small, but I'll work as hard as someone twice my size. Please let me be a volunteer - I'll be the biggest asset your team has ever had! I'm responsible, eager to learn, tireless, and so passionate about animals. It would mean the world to me.Thank you for your time!Samantha篇3My Essay on Why I Want to Be a VolunteerHi! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I really want to be a volunteer and help people. Here is my essay explaining all the reasons why I think being a volunteer would be awesome!First of all, being a volunteer means you get to help people who need it. I think that is the most important reason why everyone should try volunteering. There are so many people out there who could use an extra hand. Like elderly people who can't do as much as they used to. Or families who don't have enoughmoney for food or clothes or toys. It makes me sad thinking about kids who don't have any toys to play with! As a volunteer, I could collect used toys and books and games, and donate them to kids in need. How cool would that be?Another great reason to volunteer is that you learn new skills. Like if I volunteered at an animal shelter, I could learn how to properly care for dogs and cats. That would help me become an even better pet owner when I'm older. Or if I volunteered at a community garden, I'd learn all about how to grow vegetables and fruits. That's a very useful skill! I could even teach my parents what I learned. Getting to learn while also helping others is such a win-win.Volunteering somewhere is also a good way to figure out what you might want to be when you grow up. For example, if I really enjoyed volunteering at a hospital, maybe I'd want to be a doctor or nurse in the future. It would let me try out different types of jobs to see what fits me best. That's really important since you have to pick a career when you're an adult. Why not get some practice first by volunteering?Speaking of careers, volunteering looks super great on college applications and job resumes too. Colleges and employers are always looking for students who volunteerbecause it shows you're a hard worker who cares about their community. Volunteering helps set you apart from other applicants. So if I start volunteering now while I'm still a kid, it will make me look even more impressive when I apply for colleges and jobs later on.Another awesome thing about volunteering is that you get to meet new people you might never get to know otherwise. I could make friends with kids from different schools, neighborhoods, countries even! We'd get to teach each other about our cultures and backgrounds. Who knows, maybe I'd learn some cool jump rope games from a kid whose family is from a different country. Or maybe I'd try new foreign snacks and dishes that aren't served at my house. Getting to experience different cultures is so much fun.Lastly, volunteering somewhere allows you to have a positive impact on your own community. Like if I volunteered to pick up litter at my local park, I'd be helping to make my neighborhood look nicer and cleaner. That benefits everyone who lives around there or who comes to visit the park, including me! Or if I volunteered at a food bank or soup kitchen, I'd be helping to fight hunger for people in my city or town. Volunteering makes the world a little bit better, one small contribution at a time.In conclusion, those are the main reasons why I want to be a volunteer: to help people in need, learn new skills, explore possible careers, boost my college/job applications, meet different kinds of people, and improve my community. Volunteering seems like such an amazing way to make a difference while also growing as a person. It teaches you to think beyond just yourself. I can't wait until I'm old enough to start volunteering regularly! Wish me luck in finding the perfect volunteering opportunity. Thank you for reading my essay!篇4Dear Volunteer Coordinator,My name is Jamie and I am 10 years old. I am writing to you today because I would like to apply to be a volunteer at the animal shelter. I think I would make a great volunteer and here are some reasons why:First of all, I really really love animals! I have two dogs at home named Rufus and Coco. Rufus is an old bulldog who snores really loudly. Coco is a spotted mutt who we rescued from the shelter a few years ago. I help take care of them by feeding them, brushing them, and taking them on walks. My favoritething is throwing a tennis ball for Coco to catch in her mouth and bring back to me. I could do that all day!I'm also really good at following instructions. At school, my teachers always say I am a great listener. I pay close attention when people tell me what to do. I don't goof around or get distracted easily. If you told me how to scoop out the litter boxes or refill the food bowls, I would listen carefully and do exactly what you said. You can count on me!Another reason I would be a good animal shelter volunteer is because I am very gentle and calm around pets. I never run around screaming or make loud noises that might scare the animals. I know how to approach them quietly and let them sniff my hand before petting them. My mom says I have a way with critters and they seem to trust me. The neighbors' cat even comes over to our yard sometimes just to let me pet her!I'm also quite responsible for my age. My parents trust me to walk myself home from school and let myself into the house. I always remember to do my homework and chores without being reminded too much. If you asked me to come volunteer on certain days and times, I would make sure to show up exactly when I was supposed to. You wouldn't have to worry about me not showing up or being late.Lastly, I have a lot of energy! I can run around and play with the dogs for hours. I'm strong enough to hold the leashes and take them for walks. I imagine there is a lot of work to do at the shelter like mopping floors, doing laundry, and carrying supplies.I would be happy to help out any way I can. I won't get tired or lazy - I'll keep going until all the jobs are done!In conclusion, I think I am the perfect kid volunteer for your animal shelter. I have a huge love for pets, I follow rules really well, animals seem to like me because I'm calm, my parents think I'm responsible, and I have a ton of energy to get tasks done. Pleeeease consider me for the job! I promise to work super hard and give my absolute best. The animals are counting on us!Thank you for your time,Jamie篇5Dear Volunteer Coordinators,My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I love helping others and want to be a volunteer! I have a lot of great qualities that would make me an awesome volunteer.First of all, I'm very energetic. I never get tired and can run around all day long. That means I could help out at events or with activities that require being on your feet for a long time. I'm also really strong for my age. I can carry heavy things and set up equipment easily. Just last week, I helped my dad move all the furniture in our living room by myself!I'm also a hard worker who never gives up. If there's a tough job to do, I'll stick with it until it's finished perfectly. One time, my mom asked me to clean my super messy room. It took me three whole days, but I didn't stop until every single toy was picked up and put away neatly. I have a lot of determination!Another reason I'd be a great volunteer is that I'm really friendly. I love meeting new people and making them smile. Whenever we have guests over, my parents always tell me what a charmer I am. I make people feel welcomed and have a way of cheering anyone up who is feeling sad or grumpy. With my positive attitude, I could brighten everyone's day at volunteer events!I'm also a fast learner. I pick up new skills quickly and can follow directions really well. In school, I often raise my hand to show that I understand the lessons. And at home, my parents only have to explain how to do chores once before I've got it. Ifyou showed me how to do volunteer tasks, I'd catch on immediately. You wouldn't have to waste time re-explaining things over and over.As well as being a fast learner, I'm also very responsible and mature for my age. My parents and teachers are always commenting on how trustworthy, sensible and well-behaved I am. If you gave me an important volunteer job, you could count on me to take it seriously and do it properly with no messing around. I'm no troublemaker! But don't worry, although I'm responsible, I can still have lots of fun too! I have a big imagination and love playing games, telling jokes and bringing lots of energy and excitement. If ever the atmosphere at a volunteer event seemed too serious or boring, I could liven things up with my cheerful attitude and silly sense of humor. The other volunteers would really enjoy having me around to keep their spirits up.Another thing that makes me special is that I'm fluent in three languages - English, Spanish and French. I learned Spanish from my grandparents and French from watching educational movies. My language skills could come in really handy if you ever need a volunteer translator or someone to communicate withinternational visitors. It would be so cool to get to use my powers of polyglottery!I also feel like I should mention that I'm a great artist. I love drawing, painting, coloring and making crafts. My art projects always turn out amazing. If you ever need someone to create cool decorations, designs, signs or anything like that, I'm your guy. I could make really awesome arts and crafts at events too and teach other kids fun ways to get creative and unleash their inner artists.Speaking of other kids, I'm also really good with children. I never fight with my little sister and I'm very patient, caring and gentle. I have lots of experience babysitting my younger cousins and keeping them entertained and out of trouble. I'm basically like a free portable babysitter and kids' activity coordinator all in one! At any events with youngsters, you could count on me to be the pied piper and keep them smiling, safe and engaged in fun projects. Finally, my parents have raised me to be very caring, giving and community-minded. They've taught me it's important to help others and make a positive difference in the world, no matter how small the action. Volunteering would allow me to practice kindness, generosity and being a good citizen. I wasliterally born to volunteer! It would make me feel so proud to be out there giving back and leaving everything a little bit better than I found it.In conclusion, I really hope you'll consider me for volunteer opportunities. With my boundless energy, strength, perseverance, friendliness, quick learning ability, maturity,fun-loving spirit, language talents, artistic skills, affinity for children and commitment to making the world a better place, I could be a huge asset to your organization. I have so much to offer and just know I would be an incredibly helpful and hardworking volunteer. Thank you for your time!Sincerely,Timmy。
