There is some news that English may account for a lower proportion in our national college entrance examination, but I don’t think it has any effect on our English learning. English is still playing an important part in our daily life.
With the development of China’s economy, more and more people are rich enough to travel or study abroad. English is the first problem they are faced with. Besides, as devices and household appliances of foreign brands are flooding our daily life, English takes a more important part. What’s more,
armed with a good command of English, we will be better prepared for the challenges of globalization.
However, reducing the English section is good for us students. It helps to lessen our academic burden. But this change does not mean English study can be ignored. Being tested for less score doesn’t mean the subject can be taken lightly. In my opinion, the national enthusiasm for English will keep on.

阅读下面的短文,然后按照要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文。
Once upon a time in a land far far away, there was a wonderful old man who loved everything. Animals, spiders, insects...
One day while walking through the woods the nice old man found a cocoon(茧) of a butterfly. He took it home.
A few days later, a small opening appeared; he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it see med to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.
Then the man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and cut off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then came out easily.
But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled (萎缩的) wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at an y moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body. Neither
