甄选制作适合研究生学术英语需求的教学视频课程,设置翻转课堂模式下的教学实践活动,将助力于研究生学术英语教学的改革,英语教师的职业发展,培养学生的自主学习能力。
【关键词】慕课 学术英语 课程一、引言“慕课”是由英语MOOC直接音译过来的,其全称是“大规模开放式在线课程”,也就是MOOC所代表的Massive Open Online Course,是近几年出现的一种网上学习,以学生需求为导向的在线课程。
自2008年“慕课”这个术语被第一次提出以来,全世界著名高校和一大批教学工作者都开发主办自己的网络开放课程,其中最具影响力的三大慕课平台是:Udacity, Coursera, 以及 edX。
2013年是国内慕课蓬勃发展的一年,不但国内著名高校北大、清华纷纷加入世界著名慕课平台,同时各大高校也在研发自己的慕课平台。
我国在上世纪80年代开始进行科技英语课程的授课,但是其发展却是一波三折。
很多专家认为我国的英语教学是普通英语的教学, 不需要也根本没有必要进行专门用英语的教学。
虽然在中国加入WTO后,专门用途英语教学得到了一定的发展,但在信息时代科技飞速发展的今天,现有的学术英语的课程设置还很不完善,课程滞后于现代英语教学的发展。
然而慕课的兴起带来了在线课程的新体验,使学习者有了提高学术英语能力的迫切需求,也给研究生学术英语发展创造了难得的机遇,给其课程的设置以新的灵感。
二、慕课对研究生学术英语课程的启示1.优化研究生英语课程模式,凸显学术英语课程的地位。
专门用途英语(ESP)教学始于20世纪60年代的西方。
ESP 又分为学术英语(EAP)和职业英语(EOP)。
经过几十年的发展,在西方学术英语教学课程已经成为预备课程和专业课程同步辅导不可或缺的一部分,学术英语教学在世界范围内得到了广泛的应用,也取得了良好的效果。

我校是以工科为主的地方本科院校,工科专业多,学生将来面临的学业深造、就业渠道也必然以工科方向为主,开设学术英语课程也是大势所趋。
学术英语能力主要包括:听专业课程和专业讲座的能力;搜索、阅读和评价专业文献的能力;撰写文献摘要、述评和专业小论文的能力;口头陈述和演示科研成果的能力;参加学术讨论的能力。
四、课程教学环节的基本要求(一)大学英语课程教学总体要求依照教育部《大学英语教学指南》(2014),大学英语课程教学要求分为三个层次,即基础目标、提高目标和发展目标。
基础目标针对英语高考成绩合格的学生,是本科毕业时应达到的基本要求;提高目标和发展目标针对大学入学时英语已达到较好水平的学生,也是对学生英语应用能力要求较高的专业所选择的要求。
三个级别教学要求的总体能力描述如下:展目标为教学目标,而英语基础较差的普通本科、艺术班、专升本等专业原则上以基础目标为起点进行教学。
(二)《大学英语(学术英语)》课程教学要求学术英语以英语使用领域为指向,以增强学生运用英语进行专业和学术交流、从事工作的能力,提升学生学术和职业素养为目的。
