英语愚公移山寓言故事作文
英语愚公移山寓言故事作文In a small village nestled at the foot of two towering mountains, there lived an old man named Yugong. Despite his advanced age, Yugong was a man of unwavering determination and an indomitable spirit. He had long been troubled by the presence of the two mountains that stood as formidable barriers, blocking the path to the fertile lands beyond. One day, as Yugong sat contemplating the imposing peaks, a bold idea took root in his mind. He summoned his sons and declared, "These mountains have stood in our way for far too long. They have hindered our progress and limited our access to the bountiful resources that lie on the other side. I have decided that we shall remove these mountains, piece by piece, until a clear path is forged."His sons, initially taken aback by the sheer audacity of the plan, nonetheless recognized the fire that burned within their father's eyes. They knew better than to dismiss his determination, for Yugong was a man of unwavering resolve. And so, the family set to work, day after day, chipping away at the mountains with their bare hands. The task was arduous, and the progress slow, but Yugong remained undaunted. He would often pause to gaze upon the mountains, his weathered face etched with a steely determination. As the years passed, Yugong's sons grew old and his grandchildren came of age, yet the family's commitment to the task never wavered. They labored tirelessly, their hands calloused and their bodies weary, but their spirits remained unbroken.Word of Yugong's ambitious undertaking spread throughout the land, and many mocked his efforts, dismissing him as a foolish old man. "How can he possibly hope to move such massive mountains?" they scoffed. "It is a futile endeavor, a waste of time and energy."But Yugong paid no heed to the naysayers. He knew that his goal was not merely to move the mountains, but to instill in his family a sense of purpose, a belief that no obstacle is too great to overcome with unwavering determination and perseverance. As the years turned into decades, Yugong's health began to fail, but his resolve only grew stronger. He would often gather his family around him and impart his wisdom, urging them to continue the work long after he was gone."These mountains may seem insurmountable," he would say, "but with each passing day, we chip away at them, bit by bit. And though I may not live to see the day when they are finally removed, I know that you, my children and grandchildren, will carry on this noble task."And so it was that the Yugong family continued their laborious work, undaunted by the passage of time or the jeers of the skeptics. Generation after generation, they chipped away at the mountains, their hands calloused and their spirits unbroken. Finally, after many long years, the mountains began to show signs of yielding. The once-towering peaks had been whittled down, and a clear path had emerged, leading to the fertile lands beyond. The villagers, who had once mocked Yugong's efforts, now looked on in awe and admiration. They had witnessed the power of unwavering determination and the triumph of the human spirit over seemingly insurmountable odds.Yugong, though no longer among the living, had left an indelible mark on his family and his community. His story had become a testament to the power of perseverance, a parable that would be passed down through the generations, inspiring others to never giveup in the face of adversity.Today, the site where the Yugong family once labored is a revered landmark, a symbol of the triumph of the human spirit over the forces of nature. And as visitors gaze upon the now-diminished mountains, they are reminded of the timeless lesson that Yugong had imparted: that with unwavering determination and a steadfast commitment to a worthy cause, even the mightiest of obstacles can be overcome.。

Is that okay?" His family all agreed. His wife raised a question and said, "With your strength, even the small mountain of Kuifu cannot be leveled. What can you do to the Taihang and Wangwu houses? Where can you put the excavated soil and stones?" The crowd said, "Throw it to the edge of the Bohai Sea, to the north of the hidden soil." So Yugong led three of his descendants who were able to carry the burden up themountain, chiseled stones, dug soil, and transported it to the edge of the Bohai Sea with a dustpan. The widow of the neighboring Jingcheng family had an orphan, who was just seven or eight years old, jumping around to help him. Only one round trip can be made between winter and summer. The wise old man on the riverbank mocked Yu Gong and prevented him from doing this, You are so foolish! With your remaining years and strength, you can't even move a single grass on the mountain. What can you do with the soil and stones? "Sighed the Yugong of Beishan Your thoughts are really stubborn, so stubborn that you can't even enlighten yourself. Even if I die, there is still a son; a son gives birth to grandchildren, and a grandson gives birth to a son; a son has a son and a grandson; there are endless children and grandchildren, but the mountain will not rise and grow, and you are afraid of digging up the ground? "The wise old man in Hequ had nothing to say. The mountain god holding the snake heard about this and was afraid that he would endlessly dig and report it to the Heavenly Emperor. The Heavenly Emperor was moved by the sincerity of Yu Gong and ordered the two sons of the Hercules Kua'e family to carry away the two mountains, one in the eastern part of Shuofang and the otherin the southern part of Yongzhou. From then on, there were no high mountains blocking the southern part of Jizhou until the south bank of the Han River.翻译:传说中的太行、王屋两座山,周围七百里,高七八千丈,本来在冀州南边,黄河北岸的北边。
