本单元以“汤姆·索亚历险记”为话题,以马克·吐温的不同作品为主线。

本篇阅读文章是《汤姆·索亚历险记》中的一个故事——汤姆漆栅栏。

该故事讲述了汤姆在担心被同伴嘲笑和完不成漆栅栏的任务的双重压力下,设计了一个“圈套”,即让伙伴们对这项苦差事产生浓厚兴趣,争相用自己的东西来交换漆栅栏的机会,从而不露痕迹地完成了自己的任务,还得到一堆东西。

故事情节精彩紧凑,体现了作者诙谐、幽默的写作风格。

文章共有14个段落,根据故事的发展顺序,可以将它分为三个部分:第一部分为故事的开端(第1-3段),讲述了故事发生的时间、地点等信息,也描述了汤姆·索亚设计“圈套”的原因;第二部分为故事的发展(第4-13段),讲述了汤姆·索亚如何一步步实施“圈套”,让伙伴们替他完成任务的过程;第三部分为故事的结局(第14段)——汤姆·索亚得到了很多玩具,栅栏被漆了三遍,他的姨妈高兴地奖励了他。

因此在教学的过程中,我把阅读文章的三个部分单独进行阅读,每一个部分的阅读都制定不同的教学活动,从而达到让学生充分掌握教学内容的目的。

On Saturday morning, every boy in town was happy, except Tom Sawyer.星期六早上,镇上的每个男孩都很开心,除了汤姆。

Tom's aunt gave him a task of painting their fence.

It was 30 yards long and three yards high.
