实际上，从听力开始，口语和阅读的提高是齐头并进的。还记得在解决词汇问题之前我建议你同步收听BBC和VOA吗？那个时候是训练你的听单词能力和语感。你听CRI或中国人说英语，总是在句号的时候停顿换气的，所以比较好理解，但是BBC和VOA，特别是VOA的播音员，两个句子之间经常是不进行停顿和换气的，而是在下一个句子的当中，在and,or之类的连接词，转折词之间拖音，停顿换气。这种语言环境的适应，是给你下面的听力训练打下基础。
对于由词根词缀组成的词，要进行词根的拆分和解释。头三天的工作是很艰苦的，主要集中在词根词缀的查找解释上。最好是每天早晨记忆最好的时候做这项工作。然后第二天的晚上使用IBM智能词典2000辅助复习第一天的单词。以此类推，21天以后把一万单词就全部过了一遍，然后休息两天，再每天早晨快速的过1000单词，记不住不要紧，做个记号即可，当一个单词你做过7个记号的时候，一般也就记住了。第二天早上除了快速的过1000单词意外，晚上还要快速的过第一天的1000单词。
为什么会有DVDRip版本？这个问题解释起来比较复杂。简单的说就是有一个组织致力于高清晰版本影片的制作，组织的成员做作的工作完全是奉献，没有任何报酬，也不应该索取报酬。每当有一个电影的DVDRip版本被制作出来，都要提交给组织来审核评价，看在各方面是否真正的有价值。然后根据众多的版本中挑选出来的这个最优版本再制作字幕，字幕也是按照一定的标准和格式来制作的。完成以后放在网上让各国的组织成员进行本地化语言的翻译。翻译后的字幕再放到网上让成员审核和修正，一直达到最完善的地步。由于所有的这些工作都是免费的奉献，而且组织管理非常的严格，而且影片的播放也需要一些电脑方面的知识，所以DVDRip版本的电影一直没有被盗版厂商利用。
实际上目前的DVD影片字幕的中文翻译至少有20％的错误，多的可能达到40％还多，会很严重的影响到你对电影的理解。例如我以前看过的一个电影：男女主人公谈了半年的恋爱，一天晚上，男的打电话给女的说，“我们结婚吧”，女的听了以后说,"Are you kidding?",男的说，"No,I am serious!"女的说，“好吧那我们结婚吧”。而该影片字幕是怎么翻译的呢？男的打电话给女的说，“我们结婚吧”，女的听了以后说,"你是基丁（kidding）先生吗?",男的说，"不,我是斯瑞而斯(serious)先生!"女的说，"好吧那我们结婚吧"。最恐怖的是这个翻译从表面上居然也能自圆其说。

英语教学法讲座之一--直接法英语教学法讲座之一--直接法直接法(The Direct Method)产生于19世纪90年代,是通过运用外语本身进行教学的方法,也叫自然法或口语法,代表人物是德国外语教学法专家贝立兹(M.D.Berlitz)和英国语言学家帕默(H.E.Palmer)。

贝立兹主张力求在外语教学中创造与儿童习得母语的自然环境相仿的环境,并采用与儿童习得母语的自然方法相一致的方法。

帕默认为语言是一种习惯,学习一种语言就是培养一种新的习惯,习惯的养成是靠反复使用形成的。

自然法是对儿童学习母语的自然过程的模仿,主张把外语和它所表达的事物直接联系起来,在教学中只用外语,排斥母语,通过各种直观手段直接学习,直接理解,直接运用。

从20世纪70年代末到80年代初期间,美国加州大学爱尔伐因分校的特雷尔(TrayD.Terrel)和美国南加州大学应用语言学家克拉申(StephenD.Krashen)共同提出了新的自然法。

他们认为语言习得是无意识地掌握语言,是在自然交际情景中培养运用语言的能力,并在无意识中习得语法的一般规则。

语言学习是有意识地学习语言规则和形式。

克拉申和特雷尔认为,在学习英语的过程中,用习得的方式比学习的方式效果好得多。

因此,课堂环境应该尽量接近学生的实际生活。

教师应利用学生过去所学的知识,设计与讲英语国家的文化相近、便于学习理解的教学活动。

在介绍新词汇、引进新知识的时候,教师要尽可能结合周围实际环境。

克拉申和特雷尔进而说明,语言发展是有阶段性的,应该由简而繁、逐渐提高。

克拉申把实施自然教学法的过程分成四个阶段。

第一阶段,教师在课堂上和学生自然地谈话,使用基本的词汇和句型,并且突出、重复重点词汇,教师通过身体动作和视觉提示,如图片、实物等,帮助学生理解。

这时只要求学生能够听懂和执行简短的英语指令,作出非语言性的反应。

许多学生在开口之前要经过一个“沉默”的阶段,这是正常的。

在这个时候,教师要有耐心,不要过多催逼。
