一、教材分析
本课内容是PEP小学英语三年级起始版五年级英语下册Unit3 My school calendar A部分第一课时，本单元重点教学与月份以及各个月份开展的活动有关的词汇和句型。
月份和活动的话题与学生的日常生活有着密切的联系，大部分学生对开展课外活动有着浓厚的兴趣，所以教材创设了相关的情境、活动和任务，让学生在活动和任务重学习新知，掌握学习英语的方法，感受学习英语的乐趣和作用。
教师在教学时要尽量创设和谐有趣的学习氛围，采用积极的评价方式，让学生在玩中学、学中用，形成积极有效的课堂教学。
1、教学目标
1、能听说读写表示月份的单词： January, Febyuary, March, April、May和Jane.
2、听说认读单词：plant, year,vacation , Easter party , sports meet, contest, trip, 和词组
3、了解一年中各个月份开展的活动。
4、掌握句子：When is Tree Planting Day\Easter party\...? It’s in March\April\...并能在实际情境中灵活运用。

二、学生情况分析
五年级的学生已经具备一定的英语学习能力，他们生性活泼好动，好奇心强，模仿力强，喜欢表现，但有意注意时间较短。
三、教法与学法
（一）情境教学法
小学生对新事物总是充满好奇，节日和月份对于他们来说是非常熟悉的，恐怕很难保持他们长时间的注意和高涨的情绪，因此我利用多媒体把学生引入英语乐园，调动他们的积极性，提高他们的学习兴趣。
（二）小组合作学习法
小组合作学习是新课程积极倡导的有效学习方式之一，有效的小组合作学习可以加大学生语言的实践量，提高学生运用语言的能力，促进互相帮助，培养团队意识。
四、教学程序
（一）Let's review通过复习，加深对季节的认知，从而逐渐引出月份，认识日历，认识新单词calendar
（二）Presentation
1) 认读新单词
