首先,词汇是基础。
词汇是英语的基石,但是我们都知道词汇的记忆是一项很枯燥的工作,因为它要的是真功夫。
关于词汇的学习根据每个人的不同情况会有不同的方法,常见的背诵单词书、做真题记单词。
关于第一种背诵方法有两点建议:在整块背诵的基础上注意零余时间的利用,比如随身携带一本小的单词书,只要有时间就拿出来看看;关于词汇书的选择,推荐西北大学出版的《考博词汇红宝书》和《考博英语词汇速记宝典》,在记单词的过程中,把不认识的单词标记出来,并且,重新抄写到一张新的纸上,一天记一个单元或者两个单元,就有新的一张或两张纸的陌生词汇被整理出来,然后,重点记忆这些陌生词汇,效率更高。
关于第二种的背诵方法,也是得到很多同学推崇的,做真题记单词,通过语境来记忆,就是从阅读中把单词挑出来背,做一篇阅读要把时间控制在15分钟以内,做完了要花大概45分钟去弄懂,光做不研究是没有效果的。
而且要切记,词汇记忆是每天的必修课。
再说,阅读。
阅读是大头,是做好其他一切题型的基础和前提。
而且不能只是做,一定要分析每一道题,你做对了,为什么做对了?做错了,为什么错?命题的思路是什么,一定要研究透彻。
特别推崇书上说的要读文章,大声的读以培养语感,以及更深刻的理解每一篇文章,读的时候会发现看的时候没有注意到的问题,当然又一次的温习了单词。

Then he had to pick apart the argument, discussing things like the assumptions, logic, evidence, and counterarguments. It reminded me of that critical thinking unit we did in class. For the issue essay, Mike had to take a stance on a controversial topic and build a solid case supporting his viewpoint using reasoning and examples. His topic was something about international trade policies. I'm glad I didn't have to write about that!But by far the hardest section for Mike was the speaking. He had to actually talk out loud and record his responses! For some questions, he saw a paragraph and had to read it aloud clearly and with good pronunciation. Easy for a reading superstar like me, but Mike always struggled with that. Then they showed him a graphic like a chart or diagram, and he had to describe it in detail just from memory. And you'd have to go through and answer multiple choice questions about how to correct each individual error and improve the whole thing. It really tested your eye for detail and ability to communicate ideas effectively in writing.Finally, the speaking section literally had me sweating! You had to go in a soundproof room, put on headphones, and then a recording would give you prompts to speak about for 60 seconds at a time. The test graders were literally evaluating your pronunciation, grammar, vocab usage, fluency, everything!Some prompts asked you to explain a personal preference, like your favorite book. Others were more academic, like having to summarize the core ideas from a short lecture you heard through the headphones. Or you might have to take a stance and present a persuasive argument about some controversial issue. No time for "umms" or "uhhs" - you had to just go with clear, natural speech from the get-go.I was amazed at how poised and well-spoken Jessica was during all her practice tests. Me, I would've been a babbling mess for sure! She put in so much hard work though, going through practice materials, taking tons of mock tests, getting feedback from tutors, and drilling her English skills over and over again.When exam day came, she was ready. She emerged from that 4-hour test a warrior! Egyptian lived on beyond the disappearance of hieroglyphic in the fourth century CE in the guise of Coptic, to succumb as a living, spoken language of daily social intercourse only after the Islamic conquest of Egypt. Even then, Coptic survives to this day as the liturgical language of the Coptic Orthodox Church. This latter point draws attention to an aspect of the decline of these indigenous literacies worthy of note: it is in the sphere of religion that these literacies are often preserved longest, after they have been superseded in palace circles—the last dated cuneiform text we have is an astrological text; the last dated hieroglyphic text a votive graffito. This should cause little surprise. The sphere of religion is generally one of the most conservative of cultural subsystems. The local need to negotiate the necessities of daily life and individual and collective identity embodied in traditional religious structures is slow to change and exists in ongoing dialogue with the more readily changeable royal and/or state ideologies that bind various locales together in an institutional framework.The process of ―Hellenization‖ of the an cient cultures of the Eastern Mediterranean provides us, then, with an opportunity to observe the on-going effect on traditional, indigenous literacy of the imposition of a new status language possessed of its own distinct writing system. The cultural politics of written and spoken language-use in such contexts has been much discussed and it is clear that the processes leading to the adoption of a new language—in written form, or spoken form, or both—in some cultural spheres and the retention of traditional languages inothers are complex. Primary and secondary school will impart to you only some rudiments of knowledge. Even what you learn during the four years of university will be something quite superficial too. The Pleasure of Learning Almost everyone will be confused when they ask themselves, "why we learn. " In China, students answer this question, "to pass the College Entrance Examination". But after I read the article which entitled The Pleasure of Learning, I know the correct answer. It's the pleasure of learning.
In this article, the author thinks learning is a natural, inborn and instinctive pleasure, and it's one of the innate pleasures of the human race. However, this pleasure is not confined to learning from textbooks. It is found in all kinds of the experience, practices, arts, crafts and explorations. He believes that the wholeness of
the mind and spirit can only be achieved through exerting one's own efforts.
When it comes to this article, what promptly surges into my mind is the childhood memory of learning. When I was young, my teachers used to discuss "why we learn? " with us. There were many reasons coming up. We learn because we need to acquire professional knowledge and therefore a good job. We can use the knowledge to help people, and we will learn ourselves better by knowing more about the world. We can reap huge fruits from it, the pleasure. The last reason was the one our teacher emphasized most but I think I didn't truly get it then. This was not to say that I didn't like to go to school and acquire new knowledge. The knowledge I got from formal education is aimed to be service for the final examination completely and has slowly faded away. Having been lost the motivation, learning new things just became a burden for me. Fortunately, as my approaching to 40s with more insights of myself and the world, I started to attain the happiness again. Learning to unlock the relationship between practical use and learning in my mind, I became able to enjoy knowing new things, but not the possible rewards they might bring to me.
From my perspective, I realized that learning is a way, and the only way. We become more intimate with the world we're living in. Now, I think I understand the true meaning of the pleasure of learning.。
