一、教学目标:
•知识目标:能够准确使用单词和短语help, washing machine, in the kitchen, clean, water the flowers等。
•能力目标:培养学生的听、说、读、写英语的能力,提高学生的交际能力,激发学生的学习兴趣。
•情感目标:培养学生的助人为乐的思想,提高学生的独立生活能力。
二、教学重难点:
重点:Vocabulary: help, washing machine, in the kitchen, clean, water the flowers
难点:句式“What can you do to help?”的构成
三、教学过程:
1. Warming up:
•Teacher: Welcome back to our English class. Did you help your parents do any housework during the weekend? Raise up your hands if you did. (Wait for their responses)
•Teacher: Good job! Today we are going to talk about how to help our parents and how to be a good helper in the house.
2. Pre-reading:
•Teacher: First, let’s learn some new words in this lesson.(board writing)
help, washing machine, in the kitchen, clean, water the flowers
(Teacher shows the flashcards with the pictures related to the words and ask students to repeat after her.)
3. Reading:
•Teacher: Now, let’s read the text together.(playing the recording)•Teacher: Ok, now let’s read it by ourselves. When you see the new words, pause and repeat after me.
4. While-reading:
•Teacher:What can you do to help your parents at home? Let’s take a look at the text and find out some good ideas. (Pair work)
•Teacher:Fiona and her brother helped their parents do the housework in different ways. If you were Fiona, what would you do to
help your parents? Talk with your partner. (Pair work)
5. Post-reading:
•Teacher: Let’s watch a video about how to water the flowers. Pay attention to how the girl in the video does it.(playing the video)•Teacher: Good job! Now, please talk with your partners about how
to water the flowers correctly. (Pair work)
•Teacher: Ok, now let’s have a volunteer to demonstrate how to water the flowers correctly.
•Teacher: Let’s use “What can you do to help?” to summarize what we’ve learned today. (Group work)
6. Homework:
•Teacher: For homework, let’s write a short passage about how you help your parents at home. Don’t forget to include the new words we learned today.
四、教学反思:
本课时的教学目标是帮助学生学会如何帮助父母,如何做一个称职的家务助手。我们在教学过程中通过音频、视频、故事等多种形式呈现内容,使学生在听、说、读、写的过程中逐渐掌握所学内容,同时也培养了学生的交际能力和人际沟通能力。在这个基础上,我们对学生进行了语言输出和思维交流的锻炼,让学生在主动的交流中能够表达自己的想法和意见,进一步培养了学生的独立思考和解决问题的能力。同时,我们的教学目标也与教材所追求的情感目标相一致,即培养学生的助人为乐的思想,提高学生的独立生活能力。
