本模块的主要学习内容是feelings and expressions, 即如何表达感受和情感。
面对生活中的各种事物，人和事件，人们总会有不同的感受，而能够正确表达自己的情感态度是每个人的基本能力。
因此，学习本模块不仅能帮助学生提升语言水平，对学生的身心发展也大有裨益。
学生在初一上学期就学习了如何用英语简单描述自己，并且已经对be, get, become, turn等系动词的用法比较熟悉，所以本模块所学内容是在之前所学内容的基础上的一种延伸。
本模块有三个单元，第一单元的对话呈现的是米国女孩贝蒂在家里制作西方传统食物的情境，因为情境的铺垫会增强对话的真实感，学生能较为充分地感知对话中的情感表达，更好地理解对话。
第二单元的课文是外国女孩莉萨写给中国女孩玲玲的一封回信。
信中莉萨作了自我介绍，包括自己的外貌和爱好等，并表达了想见玲玲的迫切心情，特别是自己的感受。
第三单元主要是对前两个单元主要内容的总结和深化，进一步巩固本模块的词汇和语法知识。
继续围绕运用感官动词和形容词来表达个人感受及对他人特征的描述。
学生在学习之后能够用所学内容表达个人感受并向同学们描述自己的一位同班同学，其他同学来猜猜描述的是谁，这有助于学生互相了解，交流情感。
二、学情分析：本节课我所任教的学生为八年级的学生，教学设计是根据课标针对八年级大多数学生的知识水平进行设计的。
七年级和八年级上册已经学习了一些系动词的用法，并掌握了一些形容词，这为本模块内容奠定了知识基础。
