四年级下册英语第一单元我的学校作文

四年级下册英语第一单元我的学校作文

四年级下册英语第一单元我的学校作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My SchoolSchool is such an important part of my life! I spend so much time there learning new things every day. My school is called Maple Lane Elementary and it's a really nice place. Let me tell you all about it.The BuildingOur school building is big and made of red bricks. It has two floors with lots of classrooms, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, an art room, a music room, and even a library! My favorite part of the building is the library because I love reading books. It has rows and rows of bookshelves filled with stories about adventures, mysteries, science, and so much more. I could spend all day in there if I was allowed! On the outside, we have a huge playground with swings, monkey bars, a jungle gym, and plenty of space to run around. There are also basketball hoops, a soccer field, and a runningtrack. During recess and after school, it's always really lively with kids playing games and having fun.My ClassroomMy classroom is on the second floor at the end of the hallway. It's a pretty big room with a bunch of desks and cubbies where we keep our books and supplies. We have a circular carpet at the front where we sit during story time. My teacher, Mrs. Carson, has a big desk in the corner. The walls are covered in colorful posters about math, reading, science, and all the other subjects we learn. We also have a calendar, number line, and alphabet hanging up to help us. My favorite thing on the walls is the "Writer's Wall" where Mrs. Carson puts up our best creative writing pieces for everyone to see. I'm so proud when my stories get put up there! My Favorite SubjectsI have a lot of favorite subjects at school, but I think my top three are art, gym, and of course, reading. In art class, we get to draw, paint, sculpt with clay, and make all kinds of creative projects. We even learned about famous artists and their styles which was really cool. I love drawing animals and landscapes the most. Who knows, maybe I'll be a famous artist one day!Gym class is basically my favorite hour of the week. We play all sorts of games and sports like kickball, basketball, and my personal favorite - dodgeball! I'm a pretty good dodger if I do say so myself. We also run laps, do exercises, and challenge ourselves on the rock climbing wall. It's an awesome way to get energy out and stay active. As for reading, I'm totally obsessed. I'll read absolutely anything - fiction books, poems, non-fiction, you name it. We have a reading hour every day where we can choose books from the classroom library and cuddle up somewhere to dive into them. Reading is magical because it can transport you to different worlds and times. I hope I never lose my love of reading! My FriendsWhat would school be without friends? I'm lucky to have a pretty great group of people in my class. There's Emily who is basically a walking encyclopedia - she knows absolutely everything! Then there's Marcus who cracks the funniest jokes to make us all laugh. Sam is the artist of the group with amazing drawing skills. Leo loves gym class as much as I do and is super competitive (in a good way!). And of course, I can't forget mybest friend Hannah. We've been inseparable since kindergarten and we love having sleepovers and telling silly stories.School EventsOur school has some really cool events and activities throughout the year too. In the fall, we have a big Harvest Festival with games, food, a pumpkin carving contest and even a costume parade. For the holidays, we have classroom parties and get to go caroling in the halls. Every spring, the whole school puts on a huge Art Show night to display everyone's masterpieces. And then at the end of the year, we have a massive Field Day with relay races, tug-of-war, and all kinds of outdoor games and competitions. My personal favorite is the waterballoon toss!Teachers and StaffThe teachers and staff at Maple Lane are honestly the best. They really care about us and want us to have fun while learning. My teacher, Mrs. Carson, makes lessons entertaining and is always there to listen if we need help. The principal, Mr. Brooks, is a great leader and gets involved in our activities. We have nice office ladies, dedicated custodians to keep our school clean, and even a few therapy dogs that visit to help kids feeling anxious or stressed.I feel so lucky that Maple Lane has such an amazing group of grownups looking out for us kids. They're patient, supportive, and deeply committed to giving us a wonderful elementary school experience. I'll never forget the teachers and staff that have shaped my early education. The FutureSometimes I get sad thinking about eventually having to leave Maple Lane and move on to middle school. This place has been my home away from home for five amazing years. I've made so many incredible memories here and learned more than I could have ever imagined. While I'm excited to grow up and experience new schools, I'll forever cherish my time at Maple Lane Elementary. This is where the foundation of my education was built, core values were instilled in me, and I made friendships that will last forever. No matter where life takes me, I'll never forget this place and time. Maple Lane will always have a special place in my heart.篇2My SchoolSchool is such an important part of my life! I spend so much time there learning new things every day. Let me tell you all about my wonderful school. My school is called Maple Tree Elementary School. It's a big red brick building that looks really old on the outside, but everything inside is nice and new. The school was built way back in 1922, but they renovated the whole inside a few years ago to make it all modern and up-to-date.When you walk through the front doors, the first thing you see is the main office. There are a few friendly secretaries sitting behind the counter. If you ever need any help, you can just go ask them. Right next to the office is the nurse's room in case anyone gets hurt or feels sick during the school day.Down the main hallway are all the regular classrooms where we have our reading, writing, math, science, and social studies lessons. The hallways have rows of cubbies and hooks outside each classroom door where we keep our backpacks and jackets. My classroom is Room 204 on the second floor. Mrs. Parker is my homeroom teacher and she is really nice but also strict about making sure we behave. At the end of the main hallway is the library. It's my favorite place in the whole school! The library is huge with tons of bookson every topic you can imagine. There are cozy reading nooks with bean bags, and long tables for studying. We have library time once a week where we can check out new books. I love picking out a fresh stack of books on things like dinosaurs, space, animals, and adventure stories. The cafeteria is downstairs next to the gymnasium. It's where we all eat lunch every day. The cafeteria ladies cook delicious hot lunches like pizza, tacos, and chicken nuggets. You can also just buy a snack like a sandwich, yogurt, or salad if you prefer to pack your own lunch from home. After we eat, we can go play outside on the playground or stay inside and play board games on rainy days.Speaking of the playground, that's another amazing part of my school! We have basketball courts, soccer fields, tetherball poles, swingsets, and the coolest twisty slide that is at least 20 feet high! Playing outside at recess is the best way to get some exercise and have fun with friends. My school also has a music room where we have music class twice a week. We learn how to read notes and rhythms, sing songs, and even play some basic instruments like xylophones and drums. At the holiday concert in December, the whole music club gets to perform violin carols on stage for our families.Right across from the music room is the art room, which is another really cool place. The art teacher is so creative and shows us different techniques like painting, sculpting, drawing, printmaking, and more. We make all kinds of awesome projects to celebrate the different holidays and seasons. I made a ceramic Santa for Christmas and a paper-mache globe for Earth Day. My favorite projects are definitely the messy ones where we get to use lots of colorful paint and Play-Doh.One of the things that makes my school really special is all the after-school activities we can join. I'm in the school choir and drama club. Choir is so much fun because we learn beautiful songs to sing together in harmony. In drama club, we put on a big play every spring in the auditorium. This year I got to be an elf in our production of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Some of my other friends do sports teams like soccer, basketball, and track. There's seriously a club for every interest you can think of!My school really does have everything to help kids learn and grow. We have a state-of-the-art computer lab to practice our technology skills. There are small tutoring rooms if anyone needs some extra academic support. We even have a special room for speech therapy. The counselors and therapists are wonderful athelping students who struggle with any kind of learning differences or other challenges.Overall, I feel so lucky to attend such an incredible school.I've made so many friends, had wonderful teachers, and learned more than I could have ever imagined. My school has given me a fantastic education and prepared me for whatever comes next. I'll always have such fond memories of my elementary years at Maple Tree. Go Mighty Maples!篇3My School: A Wonderful Place to Learn and GrowSchool is such an exciting place! I love going to my elementary school every day and learning new things. In this essay, I'll tell you all about the first unit we covered in our 4th grade English textbook this year - all about schools. The unit started by introducing the different types of schools.I learned that there are elementary schools for younger kids like me, middle schools for older kids, high schools for teenagers, and universities for adults. My school is an elementary school called Oakwood Elementary. It has bright blue doors and a big playground out front.Inside, the hallways are lined with colorful student artwork and motivational posters. My favorite is one that says "Reading Rocks!" in big, bold letters. I totally agree - reading is so much fun! The school library is my favorite place. It's a huge room filled with thousands of books on every topic you can imagine. There are beanbags to lounge in while you read and little nook areas to explore. At the very start of the school day, we line up outside on the playground blacktop. The morning bell rings at 8:30am sharp and we all walk in an orderly line to our classroom. Our classroom has rows of wooden desks and cubbies along the back wall to store our backpacks and supplies.Mrs. Henderson is our teacher this year and she's the best! She always has a warm, friendly smile and makes learning fun. In the mornings after attendance, she'll write out the daily schedule on the chalkboard, which looks something like this:8:45 - 9:30: Reading9:30 - 10:15: Math10:15 - 10:30: Recess10:30 - 11:15: English11:15 - 12:00: Science12:00 - 12:45: Lunch & Playtime12:45 - 1:30: Social Studies1:30 - 2:15: Art/Music2:15 - 3:00: P.E.3:00: DismissalMy favorite part of the day is definitely art and music class! We have an amazing art teacher, Mrs. Miller, who teaches us all about different artists, techniques, and styles. So far this year, we've learned how to paint with watercolors, sculpt with clay, and use pastels. For music, we practice singing, learn about notes and rhythms, and even get to play instruments like xylophones and tambourines. At lunch, we get to go to the cafeteria and pick what we want to eat from the lunch line. Some of the lunch ladies' specialties are cheesy quesadillas, steaming hot soup, and my all-time favorite - soft, sweet chocolate chip cookies! After eating, we have supervised playtime outside on the playground. There are swings, monkey bars, basketball hoops, and plenty of space to run around and play tag or kickball.Phys ed class with Coach Martinez is a blast too! He teaches us games and sports while promoting fitness and healthy habits. We've played games like dodgeball, capture the flag, and even learned some fun dances. Coach always says "You'll never win the game of life by sitting on the bench!"Our English unit on schools covered lots of useful vocabulary words too. I learned words like:Backpack - a bag to carry books and suppliesCafeteria - the room where we eat lunchGymnasium - a big room for indoor phys edRecess - our playtime outsidePrincipal - the person in charge of the whole schoolAttendance - when our names are called to check who's presentWe also read stories about schools in faraway places. One of my favorites was a tale set in a small village school in India where the students didn't have fancy technologies but shared a love of learning. It reminded me that the most important thing about school isn't the building or supplies, but the opportunity to gain knowledge.Of course, just like any place, school does have some rules we all must follow. There's no running in the hallways, you haveto walk quietly in line, and raise your hand to speak in class. Bullying is absolutely not allowed, and we have to show respect to our teachers and classmates at all times. As long as we follow the rules, school is a safe, happy environment to spend our days.I'm so grateful to attend a wonderful school like Oakwood Elementary. The teachers and staff truly care about the students and want us to reach our full potential. School has given me a strong foundation in core subjects, exposed me to enriching activities, and allowed me to make lots of great friends. While math or history lessons can sometimes be a challenge, I always remind myself how lucky I am to have the chance to get an education. Not every kid in the world is as fortunate, which is why I appreciate every opportunity for learning. My favorite quote is by Dr. Seuss - "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!" With the tools I'm gaining at school, I know the possibilities for my future are endless. I can't wait to continue growing, learning, and experiencing new things in the years ahead!。

四年级英语作文介绍自己的学校My Amazing SchoolHi there! My name is Emma and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. I absolutely love my school and can't wait to tell you all about it!Oakwood is a big, beautiful red brick building right in the heart of my hometown. It has three floors with lots of classrooms, a huge library, an art room, a music room, a cafeteria, and even a gymnasium! The schoolyard is super fun too, with swing sets, seesaws, monkey bars, and fields for playing sports during recess. My favorite part of the school has to be the library though. It's like a magical wonderland of books! The shelves go all the way up to the high ceilings and there are so many fascinating stories to explore. I love getting lost in different worlds and adventures through reading. Plus there are cozy beanbags to curl up in while you read. The librarian, Mrs. Roberts, is really nice too and always happy to help me find new books I'll enjoy. My classroom is on the second floor and has really big windows that let in lots of warm sunlight. I sit in the second row near the chalkboard so I can easily see everything my teacher,Mrs. Thompson, is writing or drawing. She's simply the best –always making lessons fun and interesting! We learn so many cool things at Oakwood. In math, we're working on multiplication and division right now. It was pretty tricky at first but Mrs. Thompson has lots of fun games and activities to practice with. Who knew math could be so entertaining? We also just started a fascinating unit on westward expansion in American history. I can't wait to learn all about the pioneers, covered wagons, and wild frontier! In science, we get to do the most amazing experiments. My favorite so far was the baking soda and vinegar volcano. We built little volcano models out of modeling clay and paper mache, then combined baking soda and vinegar inside to make an eruption! It was awesome watching the lava-like foam bubble up and ooze down the sides. Science is awesome.Art class is probably my favorite special though. We have an incredible art teacher, Mr. Wilson, who is just bursting with creativity and talent. So far this year, we've made colorfulself-portraits, ceramic pinch pots, paper mache sculptures, and even tried our hand at painting in the style of famous artists like Van Gogh and Picasso. I'm no master artist (yet!), but I absolutelylove expressing myself through colors, textures, and materials. Who knows, maybe I'll be a famous artist someday! The best part about Oakwood though is definitely the people. My classmates are all so much fun to learn and play with. We have inside jokes, we look out for each other, and we encourage each other to do our best. Even if we get frustrated or something is hard, we're there to support one another. Recess is a blast, playing games like kickball or pretending to be adventurous explorers. The teachers are all pretty amazing too. Not just at teaching the subjects really well, but at making us feel safe, cared for, and important. They take the time to get to know each of us as individuals and go out of their way to help anyone who's struggling. Thanks to such a positive, uplifting environment, I always feel excited to come to school each day!Another thing I love about Oakwood are all the special events and activities throughout the year. In the fall, we have a Halloween costume parade and party. At Thanksgiving, we have a big feast with our families and do crafts and performances. Before holiday break, we have a fun talent show where students can sing, dance, do magic tricks, or anything else!Around Valentine's Day, we have craft activities to make mailboxes for our desks and exchange cards and candy grams with our classmates and teachers. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated with themed games and activities related to Irish culture and legends. In the spring, we have a amazing art showcase to display our creations from the whole school year.Of course, the very best event of the whole year is Field Day! This is an end-of-year celebration with relay races, tug-of-war, water balloon tosses, and tons of other outdoor games and activities. Parents and family members come to join in the fun too. We get to run around outdoors, play games, eat snacks and treats, and just have an all-around blast!Being at Oakwood really does feel like being part of one big, happy family. From the cozy, well-designed building to the caring teachers and fun-loving students, it's hard not to feel right at home. Not only am I learning so much academically, but I'm growing as a person too. Oakwood teaches us important values like kindness, perseverance, creativity, and believing in ourselves.I feel so lucky to be a student here and know my elementary years are filled with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Who knows what the future holds, but I'm sure the lessons and experiences from Oakwood will help prepare me for whatevercomes next. For now though, I'm just going to keep soaking up every minute of art, music, recess, and all the other magical times here. This is my home away from home!。
