推荐一部电影并说明理由英语作文My Favorite Movie: The Lion KingHave you ever seen the movie The Lion King? It's my all-time favorite movie and I think everyone should watch it! It's an animated film made by Disney that came out in 1994. Even though it's kind of an old movie now, it's still just as amazing as when it first came out.The story is about a young lion cub named Simba who is going to be the future king of the Pride Lands. His dad Mufasa is the current king, and he's this big, strong, brave lion that everyone looks up to. Simba really loves his dad and wants to be just like him when he grows up. But then Simba's evil uncle Scar gets jealous because he wants to be king instead. So Scar tricks Simba into going into this huge stampede of wildebeests and Mufasa ends up dying while trying to save Simba. It's such a sad part!After that, Scar makes Simba think it was all his fault that his dad died. He tells Simba to run away and never come back. Poor Simba feels so guilty that he actually listens to Scar and leaves the Pride Lands. He goes to live in the jungle with this funny meerkat named Timon and a warthog named Pumbaa. Theyteach Simba to just forget all his worries and live a carefree life eating bugs and not having any responsibilities. For a few years, Simba is happy just goofing around and not thinking about his sad past.But one day, Simba's friend Nala from when he was a cub finds him in the jungle. She tells him that the Pride Lands have become a wasteland ever since Scar became king. All the animals are suffering and there's no food or water left. She convinces Simba that he's the rightful king and he has to go back to fight Scar and take his place as the new lion king.At first Simba doesn't want to because he's still ashamed about what happened to his dad. But then his old friend Rafiki (who's like a wise old baboon) shows him that his dad is still alive - well, his spirit is, anyway. Mufasa's spirit appears as a bunch of stars in the night sky and tells Simba that he has to remember who he is and go back to reclaim his kingdom on Pride Rock. That's when Simba finally gets brave and decides to go back with Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, and all their other friends to fight Scar.There's this totally epic battle at the end between Simba and Scar. Scar's hyena friends turn on him and Simba ends up defeating Scar and becoming the new lion king, just like his dad. In the very last scene, Simba stands at the top of Pride Rock andlets out this huge roar to show that he's the new king. Then the movie ends with Simba and Nala having a cute lion cub baby of their own. It's such a happy and inspiring ending!I love The Lion King for so many reasons. First of all, the story is just so exciting and emotional. The scenes with Mufasa dying and Simba leaving Pride Rock always make me cry. But then I get so happy at the end when Simba defeats Scar and reclaims his rightful place as king. It shows that if you believe in yourself and fight for what's right, you can overcome anything, even if you've gone through really hard times.Another reason I love this movie is because of the characters. They are all so funny and lovable in their own ways. Timon and Pumbaa always make me laugh out loud with their hilarious jokes and songs like "Hakuna Matata." Simba himself is such a cool character - he starts off as this innocent little cub, then goes through years of guilt and sadness, but in the end he finds his courage and realizes how special he is.
