In the hustle and bustle of modern life, many people find solace in the tranquility of the countryside. Away from the chaos of the city, the countryside offers a peaceful escape where one can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. In this article, we will explore the reasons why people seek refuge in rural areas and the benefits it brings.Firstly, the countryside provides a respite from the noise and pollution of urban living. The air is fresher, the pace is slower, and the environment is generally cleaner. This cleaner air and peaceful atmosphere have a positive impact on our physical and mental well-being. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can reduce stress levels and improve overall happiness. The calmness of the countryside allows us to recharge and rejuvenate, away from the constant demands and pressures of city life. Moreover, the countryside offers breathtaking natural landscapes that are a feast for the eyes. Rolling hills, lush green fields, and picturesque villages create a postcard-perfect setting. The beauty of nature in the countryside is awe-inspiring and has a calming effect on our senses. Whether it's a leisurely stroll through a meadow or a hike up a hill, the countryside provides ample opportunities to connect with nature and appreciate its wonders.Additionally, the countryside offers a sense of community and a slower pace of life. In rural areas, people tend to have stronger connections with their neighbors and are more likely to engage in community activities. This sense of belonging and social interaction is often lacking in urban areas, where people are constantly rushing and may not even know their neighbors. Living in the countryside allows for a more relaxed lifestyle, where time is not always a constraint and relationships are valued.Furthermore, the countryside provides opportunities for outdoor activities and a healthier lifestyle. With vast open spaces and clean air, it is an ideal environment for recreational activities such as cycling, hiking, and gardening. These activities not onlypromote physical fitness but also allow us to appreciate the beauty of nature up close. The abundance of fresh produce in rural areas also encourages a healthier diet, as people have easier access to locally grown fruits and vegetables. In conclusion, the countryside offers a peaceful retreat from the chaos of city life. Its clean air, stunning landscapes, sense of community, and opportunities for outdoor activities make it an attractive destination for those seeking tranquility. Escaping to the countryside allows us to recharge, appreciate the beauty of nature, and live a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. So, next time you feel overwhelmed by the noise and stress of the city, consider taking a break and immersing yourself in the serenity of the countryside. You won't be disappointed.。

Let me just start by saying that I had been put off reading Thomas Hardye by Dickens. Having really struggled with Dickens and resorted to audio I had wrongly assumed that all 19C liturature was the same. How wrong I could be. From the first paragraph where the opening character farmer Gabriel Oak is desribed smiling, ‘the corners of his mouth spread till they were an unimportant distance from his ears‘ I fell in love with Hardy‘s narrative. His ability to use words that lift the description off the page and into the reader‘s imagination are not just outstanding but incredibly enjoyable.I went into this book blindly, knowing little about the plot that lay ahead or even the genre. It has been described by some as romantic fiction. But I think this is too simplistic a title and and maybe slightly off-putting to some. Hardye steps into Greek Tragedy when the unwitting and churlish actions of our young protagonist, Bathsheba Everdene, result in a love tryst between three suitors with tragic consequenses. The book is essentially a journey for Bathsheba into womanhood not unlike the journ ey that Scarlett O‘Hara makes in Gone with the Wind who also has to overcome great tragedy in order to realise her own strength. Unlike this heroin, however, Bathsheba is more the instrument of chaos and indecion and part of her journey is that she accepts what she has caused and tries to make it right.Hardye avoids making this into moral stricture but deviates from the Greek Tragedy model by giving us a happy ending not atypical of 19C serialised fiction.Quite often an author‘s voice creeps into their wr iting and the reader becomes aware that they are not in fact walking the hills and dales of fictional Wessex but are at the pen nib of a writ.。

NOVEL Far from the Madding Crowd

NOVEL Far from the Madding Crowd

Far from the Madding CrowdFar from the Madding Crowd tells us a story that happened in a village of Britain. The young farmer, Oak, had fallen in love with a girl named Bathsheba Everdene. Bathsheba was beautiful, but too proud, so she didn’t accept O ak. The girl’s uncle was also a farmer, and she succeeded him after his death, so Bathsheba became very rich. At the same time, Oak lost everything in one night, and Bathsheba became his employer, he worked for her as a shepherd. As he thought that he had chance to be close to Bathsheba, another farmer from a rich family, Boldwood, had came into Bathsheba’s life and he begged her to accept his love and marry him. But Bathsheba gave her love to a Sergeant Troy, and soon they got married. However, Troy had a lover named Fanny Robin, and this caused a series of unhappiness. Troy left their home after Fanny’s death, and Bathsheba lived a painful life since then. Then there was some bad news, people said that Troy had been killed at sea. Boldwood asked her to marry him again, and Bathsheba agreed to marry him if there was no any news about Troy six years later. Troy appeared surprisingly at the party, which Boldwood wanted to ask for Bathsheba’s hand in marriage. Boldwood shot Troy with a gun because of fury, and then he gave himself up to the police. He was judged to be mad, and sent to the prison for life. Finally, Bathsheba became Oak’s wife. And they faced the hard tests of life together.Village, is a place that far from the madding crowd, and it is not complicated. However, not every person there has a pure heart. There are all kinds of people. The young sergeant Troy, with his good looks, he deceived girls time after time. He was good at mouthing beautiful words. Even the proud girl, Bathsheba, was seduced by him. It cannot be denied that Bathsheba was as naive and chaste as a child. But at the same time, she was vainglorious. Her isolation from reality made her life road be full of bumpy. And Boldwood’s love for her was pure, without any distracting thoughts. He was a great person, he just wanted her to live in happiness. His love was very great, but he lost hismind, it’s reckless of him to kill Troy. And Bathsheba’s ignorance was the principal cause of Boldwood’s tragedy.Oak, in my eyes, was a man with a gentle heart, and he was determined. Though he became very poor in the disaster, he worked hard, and he loved her as always. He had a tolerant heart, he stayed with her in her most disappointed. Though he was not so rich as Boldwood, and not as handsome as Troy, he had his own good qualities, and they empowered him to overcome all the difficulties and live with Bathsheba. Their love grows from fight in the hard tests of life, and this kind of feeling is the only love which is strong as death.Being the master of ourselves, we should know ourselves well, without pretending and without being vain. We should be a primeval person. In my opinion, the happiest life is the simplest life.。

Inspired by her unwavering commitment, I embarked on a journey through her story, discovering insights that resonate deeply with the urgency of our times.Holly's narrative begins with a profound connection to nature, instilled in her from a young age. Growing up amidst the lush forests of her hometown, she developed a profound respect for the environment, recognizing its intrinsic value beyond mere resources. This early bond laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to protecting the planet. As she matured, Holly's awareness of environmental issues grew in tandem with her understanding of their far-reaching implications.

远离尘嚣英文读后感远离尘嚣英文读后感(一)Much of the plot of Far from the Madding Crowd depends on unrequited love — love by one person for another that is not mutual in that the other person does not feel love in return. The novel is driven, from the first few chapters, by Gabriel Oak's love for Bathsheba. Once he has lost his farm, he is free to wander anywhere in search of work, but he heads to Weatherbury because it is in the direction that Bathsheba has gone. This move leads to Oak's employment at Bathsheba's farm, where he patiently consoles her in her troubles and supports her in tending the farm, with no sign he will ever have his love returned. This novel focuses on the way that catastrophe can occur at any time, threatening to change lives. The most obvious example occurs when Oak's flock of sheep is destroyed by an unlikely confluence of circumstances, including an inexperienced sheep dog, a rotted rail, and a chalk pit that happens to have been dug adjacent to his land. In one night, Oak's future as an independent farmer is destroyed, and he ends up begging just to secure the diminished position of a shepherd. This novel offers modern readers a clear picture of how important social position was in England in the nineteenth century and of the opportunities that existed to change class, in either direction. In the beginning, Oak and Bathsheba are social equals: he is an independent farmer who rents his land, and she lives on her aunt's farm next door to his, which is presumably similar in value. The only thing that keeps her from accepting his proposal of marriage is the fact that she just does not want to be married yet. After Oak loses his farm and Bathsheba inherits heruncle's farm, there is little question of whether they can marry —their social positions are too different. She is more socially compatible with Boldwood, who owns the farm next to hers and is in a similar social position.远离尘嚣英文读后感(二)This novel is talking about a woman and her love or called marriage. Gabriel Oak took the fancy in Bathsheba Everdene at the first sight. She was a beautiful lady, but also a little van. Courting to her was his dream. Unfortunately, she left. What’s more, as a farmer he lost all the pregnant sheep. Now his hopes of being an independent farmer were destroyed. Maybe god has made a joke to him. Because of a big fire, he worked for his dream girl as a shepherd.Four main characters compose of the story.Gabriel Oak, in my opinion, he never gave his love, instead, he worked silence besides Bathsheba Everdene. He helped her a lot. Such as the fire burning her wheat-rick, the sheep eating clover and the storm attacking ricks, all of these stood for a steady and long romantic love. Even though she had been in love with another man, moreover, he can accept that she would marry another man for her happiness. As far as I’m concerned it’s not only the narrow love between a man and his dream girl, but philanthropy presented. The story went on as happy as we can foresee. Their shared interests and their long, friendly relationship had given them a complete understanding of each other’s character, and this finally developed, after their wedding, into a love that nothing could destroy. Another man, Mr. Boldwood, also got into the trouble. Since Bathsheba Everdene sent the valentine to him, he began to fall in love with the beautiful lady. Although the valentine was just a joke, theword“MARRY ME” drew the gentleman’s court. Actually he had been desperate when the news that she received a soldiery spread. However, things were not over simple like this. He said his love for her was as strong as death. So if possible he would never let the chance run away. He could dedicate himself to give her happiness. So he shot Troy.(www.)Troy, a man made me in a quandary. I hated him at one time. Though reading the book gradually, I felt his truly love to Fanny. It’s extremely conflicted. He shouldn’t have married Bathsheba Everdene.Actually, if I was Bathsheba Everdene, can I realize an honest, staunch man behind me?。

Dust's Journey: Livelihood IssuesDust, a seemingly insignificant particle, travels the world carried by the wind. Its journey is a metaphor for the struggles faced by many individuals trying to make a living in a harsh and unforgiving world. Just like dust, they are constantly on the move, pushed by external forces beyond their control. As dust settles in different places, it encounters various obstacles and challenges. Sometimes it is swept away by a strong gust of wind, forced to start its journey anew. Other times, it is trampled underfoot, unnoticed and unappreciated. Despite these hardships, dust perseveres, always moving forward in search of a better life.In many ways, dust's journey mirrors the experiences of marginalized communities around the world. They too face numerous obstacles and setbacks, but they continue to strive for a better future. Just like dust, they are resilient and determined, refusing to be defeated by the challenges they face.As we reflect on dust's journey, we are reminded of the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. We must continue to push forward, no matter how difficult the road may be. By staying strong and determined, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve our goals. In the end, dust's journey serves as a powerful reminder that no matter how small or insignificant we may seem, we all have the potential to make a difference in the world. We must never underestimate the power of our actions, no matter how small they may seem.

Far from the Madding CrowdThat afternoon Joseph Poorgrass was bringing Fanny's coffin back from Casterbridge. Feeling a little frightened of the dead body behind him in the cart, and de-pressed by the autumn fog,he stopped for some beer at a pub, where he met Jan Coggan and Laban Tall. There Gabriel Oak found the three men, completely drunk, two hours later. As Joseph was clearly incapable of driving the cart,Gabriel drove it to Weatherbury himself. On the way into the village, the vicar stopped him.‘I'm afraid it's too late now for the burial,’he said,‘but I can arrange for the body to be buried tomorrow. ’‘I could take the coffin to the church for the night, sir,’offered Gabriel, hoping to prevent Bathsheba from seeing it.But just then Bathsheba herself appeared. ‘No,Gabriel,’she said. ‘Poor Fanny must rest in her old home for her last night. Bring the coffin into the house. ’The coffin was carried into a small sitting-room and Gabriel was left alone with it. In spite of all his care, the worst had happened, and Bathsheba was about to make a terrible discovery. But suddenly he had an idea. He looked at the wordswritten simply on the coffin lid—Fanny Robin and child. With a cloth Gabriel carefully removed the last two words. Quietly he left the room.Bathsheba was in a strange mood. She felt lonely and miser-able,but she had not stopped loving her husband,in spite of her anxiety about his past. She was waiting for him to come home, when Liddy knocked and entered.‘Ma'am,Maryann has just heard something…’she hesitated a little. ‘Not about you or us,ma'am. About Fanny. There's a story in Weatherbury that…’Liddy whis-pered in her mistress's ear.Bathsheba trembled from head to foot.‘I don't believe it!’she cried. ‘There's only one name on the coffin lid!But I suppose it could be true. ’She said no more, and Liddy went quietly out of the room. Bathsheba felt almost sure she knew the truth about Fanny and Troy, but she wanted to be certain. She entered the sitting-room where the coffin lay. Holding her hot hands to her fore-head she cried,‘Tell me your secret,Fanny!I hope it isn't true there are two of you!If I could only look. at you,I'd know!’After a pause, she added slowly,‘And I will. ’A few moments later, she stood beside the uncovered coffin. Staring in,she said,‘It was best to know the worst, and I know it now!’Her tears fell fast beside the dead pair in the coffin, tears for Fanny and for herself. Although Bathsheba, not Fanny, had married Troy,in death Fanny was the winner. She was taking her revenge now on Bathsheba for the difficulties she had experienced in her life.Bathsheba forgot the passing of time as she looked at Fanny's cold white face and yellow hair, and did not realize Troyhad arrived home. He threw open the door and came in. He did not guess who was in the coffin.‘What's the matter?Who's dead?’he asked.Bathsheba tried to push past him. ‘Let me out!’she cried.‘No,stay,I insist!’He held her arm and together they looked into the coffin.Troy stood completely still when he saw the mother and ba-by. Little by little his shoulders bent forward, and his face showed deep sadness. Bathsheba was watching his expression closely, and she had never been more miserable. Slowly Troy knelt to give Fanny Robin a gentle kiss.Bathsheba threw her arms round his neck, crying wildly from the depths of her heart,‘Don't,don't kiss them!Oh Frank,no!I love you better than she did!Kiss me too,Frank! You will kiss me too,Frank!’Troy looked puzzled for a moment, not expecting this child-like cry from his proud wife. But then he pushed her away.‘I will not kiss you!’he said.‘Can you give me a reason?’asked Bathsheba, fighting to control herself. Perhaps it was unfortunate that she asked.‘I've been a bad,black-hearted man,but this woman, dead as she is,is more to me than you ever were,or are,or can be. I would have married her,if I'd never seen your beau-tiful face! And I wish I had married her!’He turned to Fanny. ‘But never mind, darling,’he said,‘in the sight of God you are my wife!’At these words a long, low cry of despair and anger came from Bathsheba's lips. ‘If she's—that, what—am I?’‘You are nothing to me,nothing,’said Troy heartlessly. ‘A ceremony in front of a vicar doesn't make a marriage. I don'tconsider myself your husband. ’Bathsheba wanted only to get away from him and his words. She ran straight out of the house. She stayed out all night, wrapped in a cloak, waiting for the coffin to be taken for burial. As soon as the men had taken it away the next morning, she re-entered the house, very cautiously to avoid Troy, but her husband had gone out very early and did not return.。

Much of the plot of Far from the Madding Crowd depends on unrequited love — love by one person for another that is not mutual in that the other person does not feel love in return.
In one night, Oak's future as an independent farmer is destroyed, and he
ends up begging just to secure the diminished position of a shepherd.
After Oak loses his farm and Bathsheba inherits her uncle's farm, there is little question of whether they can marry —their social positions are too different. She is more socially compatible with Boldwood, who owns the farm next to hers and is in a similar social position.
This novel is talking about a woman and her love or called marriage. Gabriel Oak took the fancy in Bathsheba Everdene at the first sight. She was a beautiful lady, but also a little van. Courting to her was his dream. Unfortunately, she left. What’s more, as a fa rmer he lost all the pregnant sheep. Now his hopes of being an independent farmer were destroyed.
Maybe god has made a joke to him. Because of a big fire, he worked for his dream girl as a shepherd.
Four main characters compose of the story.
Gabriel Oak, in my opinion, he never gave his love, instead, he worked silence besides Bathsheba Everdene. Although the valentine was just a joke, the word“MARRY ME” drew the gentleman’s court. Actua lly he had been desperate when the news that she received a soldiery spread. However, things
were not over simple like this. He said his love for her was as strong as death. So if possible he would never let the chance run away. He could dedicate himself to give her happiness. So he shot Troy.
Troy, a man made me in a quandary. I hated him at one time. Though reading the book gradually, I felt his truly love to Fanny. It’s extremely conflicted. He shouldn’t have married Bathsheba Everdene.
Actually, if I was Bathsheba Everdene, can I realize an honest, staunch man behind me?
