We feel that we have achieved a major break-through since this is the first time that anyone has demonstrated the replication of a granulosis virus in cell culture. Now it will be possible to study intracellular events in the replication cycle of this virus and to make a more detailed comparison between the granulosis and nuclear polyedrosis viruses.
