⼤⼆下学期英语⼝语考试内容⼝语考试题⽬Parents Differ from Children in Their Career ChoiceThe question of who should be responsible for planning their career often causes problems for many children. Parents think that they know their children well enough to decide what kind of job suits them. They are afraid that their children are too young to decide their future on their own. However, many children would argue that they should be left free to make their own choices. This is a typical phenomenon especailly in China. Children rely on their parents when they want allowances, but for more important issues they try to be independent. The other aspect of career choice is that parents and their children are often different in their opinions of the ideal profession. Parents would prefer children to choose some professions that are stable and could bring prestige and economic benefits. But some children would rather choose professions that are challenging and require independent and creative thinking. The Hazards of Movie-goingAlthough I love movies, I’ve found that there are drawbacks to movie-going. One problem is just the inconvenience of it all. It can take me long time to drive to the theater and find a parking spot. When you got stuck in traffic jam during a rush hour, you may even miss the beginning of a movie. Another problem is my lack of self-control at thetheater. I often stuff myself with unhealthy calorie-laden snacks for the limited choices. If you I want to go to the restroom, I can’t pause the movie just as what I do to fetch a cup of tea when I watch TV at home. Though the stereo sound effects are much better, there is a worst problem, which is with some of the other movie-goers. Kids run up and down the aisle. It’s noisy and messy in the theater. All in all, I would rather stay home and watch TV comfortably.different forms of exercises to suit different tastesThere are many different forms of exercises to suit different tastes. For example, those who enjoy competitive sports may take up ball games, such as football, basketball. They can run and push each other on the fields or playgrounds. For these games you have to be very energetic. For another example, if they prefer to exercise alone, they can have a run or take a walk in the morning or in the evening. Also they can take Yoga, Taichi or other body training exercise. And if some likes to play Go games, he can always play on computer or mobile phone agianst the virtual player. It is also a kind of exercise of your brain. Besides, people can go swimming in the summer and go skating in the winter. In short, no matter what their interests are, people can always find more than one sports that are suitable to them.Tv, a blessing or a curseNowadays television plays such an important role in people’s life that watching TV has become part of people’s life in many families. Is TV a blessing or a curse? Obviously, television, like anything else, has more than one faces. As is known to us, television presents a vivid and colorful world for people. Through TV, people can learn what is happening across the world and are better informed of the latest development in science and technology. TV broadens people’s scope of knowledge. In this sense, TV is a blessing. However, television can also be harmful. The rays sent out from TV screen are harmful to people. Furthermore, attached by their favorite programs, many people tend to watch TV too often or for a long time. And as a result, their studies, and work may be neglected. Especially, if children stay up too late at night watching TV, they will feel sleepy in class the next day, and thus they will fall behind in their studies. We Shouldn't Totally Turn to the Internet Nowadays, Internet has become an indispensable part in our life, and we use it for various purposes, such as searching useful information and chatting online. However, now more and more people turn to the Internet for help whenever they have trouble in finding solutions to their problems, and this phenomenon has aroused the public's attention.Relying on the Internet to solve all our difficulties can have bad impacts on us. On one hand, since we can always settle the troubles by searching solutions online, we can become very lazy and don't bother to think up answers by ourselves, which can hinder the development of creative thinking. On the other hand, the answers online may be inaccurate or wrong. If we use them without thinking the credibility of them, we may make serious mistakes someday. As far as I'm concerned, we shouldn't completely depend on the Internet to settle problems. When we come across some difficulties, we’d better try our best to find possible solutions. If we make great efforts and still can't come up with an answer, then we can surf online to search solutions. But we should question the correctness of these answers before we adopt them.⼝语考试在5⽉23⽇⾄27⽇进⾏。

大二上学期英语口语

大二上学期英语口语

大二上学期英语口语My name is Liu Jianing, and my school number is 1513032095. My question is……and my answer is……1.Who is the person that made a big impression on you?The person that made a big impression on me is Brad Pitt. He is a famous Hollywood actor and has got several prizes for his superb work in movies. I am a huge fan of his movies.Honestly he is a good actor who is known world-wide. He is around 50 years old now. For his excellent performance in acting he has received a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and three Academy Award up to now. He has done some film production works as well. He is a fine actor with a natural gift of depicting the characters. Often his performance in movies gets very high applauses and because of that he was nominated for Oscars more than once.I have enjoyed most of the movies acted by him and his performance in movies like Seven, Interview with the vampire, The legend of the falls, 7 years in Tibet, Meet Joe Black was simply excellent. I find him to be a very high class actor and a superb person with his tremendous activity in social welfare works. All these reasons make him to be the most impressive person in my eyes.2.What are the ways to bridge the generation gap? There is no denying that the generation gap remains for a long time. At first, let’s learn more about the generation gap. The generation gap is differences between people of younger generations and their elders, especially between children and their parents. The gap remains for many reasons. Chidren want to be free to choose their own things and generally run their own life in a more independent way than many parents allow. Also, young children wish to be understood by their parents, but most parents don’t quite understand their children. But what can we do to bridge the generation gap? In my opinion, most problems between parents and children could be solved by joint efforts of both sides to enhance mutual understanding. Both parts should try to understand and show respect to each other. Besides, parents should spare more time to communicate with their children so that they can learn about their children’s personalities and ideas. At the same time, a looser educational environment should be created and free speech should be advocated. What’s more, from the perspective of chidren, they should put themselves in their parents’ shoes and listen to the advice of parents appropriately.Only in these measures can the serious problem be solved step by step , and the generation gap can be bridged successfully.3.What is your most treasured possession? Many people believe that money is the most important thing in life. It seems impossible to live without money in contemporary society. Just like the old Chinese saying goes, money makes the mare go. Making more money has become a major goal in the eye of some people. They value money more than anything else in the world. But from my perspective, my most treasured possessions are books. As is well known, books teach us to learn life, truth, science and many other useful things. I think reading is important in the whole life for people. There are many benefits of reading. Firstly, reading increases our knowledge and we can learn the world affairs without going out. Secondly, reading is a good way to improve reading and writing skills. Before you learn to write, you must know how others write. Thirdly, reading can broaden our knowledge and horizon, which is important to job hunting in the future. Finally, reading helps us become self-cultivation that would be beneficial to our whole life. Therefore, start to reading, no matter how old you are and what you are doing. Then, you may find the great charm and benefits of reading. Reading is a good thing, but we must pay great attention to the choice of books. This is the reason why I think books are my most treasured possesions.4.What is the most challenging thing you’ve ever done?“What is the most challenging thing you’ve done in your life?” The question was put to me during the preparation for English oral examination. The answer came to me in an instant. It’s not because of my superb memory, but the experience is quite unforgettable. Here is the true answer:The most challenging thing I’ve ever done occurred on October 8,2015.I participated in the school English speech contest on behalf of my class. As to take part in the speech competition, I prepared much for a month. Firstly, I asked my English teacher about her advice to my topic. Then, I searched the Internet for the material. Also, I asked for help to perfect my speech after I have finished it. At last, I recited and practised my performance before my classmates again and again. With the competition day coming, I got more and more nervous. And my parents kept encouraging me. When I stepped on the stage. I was frightened at first. For a moment I just stood there, paralyzed. Then I tried to figure out what I should do. Leave the stage? There was nothing I could accomplish then, I convinced myself. I almost cried out, with my blank brain. At this moment, I saw my parents and other kind people, and then I became confident. I tried my best to think of the words I want to say, and finally I got the third prize. This is the most challenging thing I have done.5.What do you think is the secret of a successful marriage? There is no doubt that everyone dreams of having a successful, happy marriage, is there? But how can we do to develop a successful marriage? Below, I am going to give you some of my tips on the secrets. As far as I’m concerned, it’s not diamonds and flowers that make a relationship remain as warm, loving and intimate as it was at the start. It’s the little things. Just take our partners for example. If there is something you appreciate about your partner, from the way he or she makes scrambled eggs to how hard he or she is working on decorating the bedroom, speak up. Praise provides a reminder of your love.Besides, communication and trust also plays important roles in the development of a successful marriage. That’s to say, no relationship can succeed without these two. You need to be able to talk to your partner about anything right from small things to your future plans. And trust is just as important. Not just to trust your partner but to be trustworthy. Please bear in mind, once lost, trust is hard to win back.In conclusion, only when we bear love in mind, can we master the secrets of a successful relationship.6.What is the most unforgettable place you’ve visited?I’m really fond of visiting different places. It can enlarge my horizon. If we go in a package tour, we will never get lost. We can eat a lot of local food, and buy some local merchandise. We can breathe fresh air in the forest. But it will take us much time and money to travel. And we will face many dangers in the wild. Also we will be very tired after the tour. But to be honest, the most unforgettable place I have visited is saierde youth hostel in Xi’an province. Though I am a picky tourist, the youth hostel can make me satisfy. The youth hostel is home to all tourists from different places and it provides an opportunity to meet many like-minded friends. Besides, the youth hostel is accessible by several buses and subway lines and it hence can be reached within ten minutes from downtown. It is convenient, isn’t it? The owner of the hostel is very enthusiastic and talktaive, and more importantly, he is a Tibetan, you can understand different culture of different nationalities by communicating with him. Last but not least, the cost of the hostel is quite reasonable, so that you can save more money to visit this city. After all,as a famous city with profound historical and cultural significance in China, Xi’an enjoys a history that can be dated back to several thousand years ago.It is worthy of visiting.I’m absolutely keen on staying at the hostle.7.What do you think contributes to good health? The desire for good health is universal. Especially nowadays, the possession of good health is regarded by nearly everyone as essential to a happy life as well as a successful one. Only in good shape can you expect to live comfortably or work effectively. In contrast, without good health, ambitious and promising as a person may be, he will eventually turn out to be a wreckage of modern life. So, what can we do to stay healthy? From my perspective, enough time should be set aside for perse vering in exercises in addition to sleep and rest. Second, you must give up the habits that damage your health, such as smoking and drinking too much alcohol. Finally, be sure to have your physical checkup regularly. Whenever you are found to haveany disease, you should have it timely treated.Just take me for example, since it is harmful for our health to play cell phones on the bed, I have remembered to turn off the phones before sleep. Besides, it is important for us to have a balanced diet. In addition, I have participated in a Taekwondo community and stick to training. Because of these exercises, the circulation of blood has been increased and my immune system has been enhanced. It is not difficult for us to stay healthy . Try to get to bed earlier, eat proper food and do exercises everyday, and you will possess a healthy body.8.Do you think it necessary to involve parents in the education program?First I think that the answer of the question is yes. Teenagers sometimes do not behave themselves so well, so they need their parents to join in. They have their own thoughts of things and they can share the same topic or subjects when they make a conversation or chat with each other. In a word,it is neccessary to involve parents in the education program.Just take me for example, I’m really fond of my family education. All this reminds me of my mother who has done whatever she could to let me have the best. But she never gives unlimited allowance to satisfy my requirements. Besides, as other families, my parents also want me to become somebody or to live better when I grow up, but they pay more attention to the training of behaviors and manners instead of studies. In addition, one-child family let my parents have more time and energy to accompany with me.Because of my family education, my learning abilities improved and I knew more about the world. And more importantly, I always think that I am not good enough, so I show a big patience to learn from everything,. All these qualities make me develop friendships with many people. I’m grateful to grow up in my family.9.How do you treat a disabled friend?Disabled people are normal people, except that they can not see as much as we can, or they can not walk as fast as we can. Since they can not see as much, or they can not walk as fast, they need our help.We can immediately do a long list of ways in which we can help them, for instance, Each student finds some one to help, in the neighborhood or the community. You can help them to cross the road. You can help pushing their wheel chairs. l Set up kind of organization. Collect some money. Use this money to help them, to buy them daily necessities, to help their children finish school. As they are disabled, it is more difficult for them to earn as much as normal people do. That’s why they usually need help in physical things. As they are disabled, they feel lonely. They think they are not as good as normal people. They easily become lonely, sad, disappointed. They easily lose hope of life. They need help more in spiritual things. They need people to chat with. They need people to encourage them to continue their lives. They need people to get rid of prejudices over them. Now, I would suggest, do whatever we can to help them. We can donate our pocket money. We can walk up to help the disabled to cross the street. We can make friends with the disabled by visiting them, by calling them, by emailing them, by whatever means. However, don’t always think we are better than the disabled. As normal people, we always make normal mistakes10.Is there any relation between one’s academic performances at school with their future achievement?YES.Academic performance is the outcome of education-the extent to which a student, teacher or institution has achieved their educational goals. Academic achievement is commonly measured by examinations or continuous assessment, including daily class work, course related projects and papers, and practical work. As we all know, academic performance is an important measure of a student’s ability to learn. Although people’s academic achievement can not explain everything, but their ability to learn, telling them the future development plays decisive role in. One’s exellent habits of study and his ability to think independently are developed at the age of being a student. The extrodinary academic achievement could show these abilities and motivate them to achieve better results.I believe such performance may contribute to the final achievement indeed, but it is not that wise to judge a person only by his academic display. Everybody could be talented, but not always on those subjects that we learn in school. Thus, what we should do is not only check the paper of school only, but also find out whether the person really fits the job or the subject. Is there any relation between one’s academic performances at scool with their future achievemetn? Different experience will give us different answers. From my perspective, the answer is that the road of success is a tough process supported by what you’ve abtained from school, especially the whole age of being a student. Extrodinary academic achievement is one of the greatest power we can get bravery and courage. Because all of them put together would remind us of something about dreams, hope, the essential qualities we ought to have and wonderful experiences whatever it is successful or not.。

Parents Differ from Children in Their Career ChoiceThe question of who should be responsible for planning their career often causes problems for many children. But we should question the correctness of these answers before we adopt them.口语考试在5月23日至27日进行。
