AWhat’s your favorite weather? Do you like sunny or rainy da ys? Many people like sunshine (阳光) a lot. 1 . They think rain makes them feel sad. For a long vacation, they like going to the beach to enjoy sunshine. 2 . I like sunshine very much, but I also enjoy rain.3 . It can make me feel quiet. On rainy days, I like listening to music and doing some reading, or just looking at the rain and daydreaming (做白日梦).4 . I think it’s a good way to relax when it rains.5 . I hope you can feel happy no matter (无论) it rains or it’s sunny.B1 . Being angry doesn’t really solve much, but what people do when they feel angry is important. The goal is to calm down and try to solve what is bothering you. This is hard for some kids and adults, too. Instead of calming down, some kids might keep getting more and more upset until they explode like a volcano!2 Their anger might be so strong that they lose control of their temper. They may act in ways unacceptable and hurtful. People may say that someone has trouble controlling their temper.3 Some kids might get so angry that they scream at their parents, break something, or even worse, hit their brothers and sisters.4 However, it’s not OK for a kid to do any of those things. Kidsdon’t want to act in this way, but sometimes angry feelings can be hard to manage. So what to do? Well, the good news is that kids don’t just have to keep making the same mistakes over and over again. 5 .Imagine your temper as a puppy inside you that needs some training. The puppy is not bad-it will probably turn out a great dog. It just needs to learn some rules because, right now, that puppy is causing some problems to you.CAmericans’ WeekendsWhat do American families usually do on weekends? 1 . Running, playing volleyball, biking and swimming are all popular sports. The weekend is also a time for American families to work in the yard, the garden or the house. 2 . Sometimes some families spend the weekend painting their houses. They are busy on weekends, but they are very relaxed.3 . They can go to the park, the zoo, the cinema and many other places they want to go.4 . Sometimes they help their parents do some work at home and their parents will take them to therestaurant to have a good dinner. 5 .DWe have twenty minutes’ rest (休息) between classes. 1 . Some students are on the playground. They are playing basketball. Oh! A boy is running with the ball. And another is trying (尽力) to stop him. They look so cool. 2 . Some students are in the classroom. They are talking. 3 . Look! A girl is looking at the birds in the tree in front of the classroom. 4 .5 . 2019年中考英语复习阅读理解训练题 (9)

2019年中考英语:阅读理解训练题(8)附答案第一篇(2019中考科普环保类选练)Satellites are an important part of our ordinary lives. For example, the information for weather forecasts is sent by satellite. Some satellites have cameras which take photographs of the Earth to show how clouds are moving. Satellites are also used to connect our international phone calls.Computer connections of the World Wide Web and Internet also use satellites. Many of our TV programs come to US through satellites. Airplane pilots also sometimes use a satellite to help them find their exact location. We use satellites to send television pictures from one part of the world to another. They are usually 35,880 kilometers above the equator. Sometimes we can see a satellite in the sky and it seems to stay in the same place. This is because it is moving around the world at 11,000 kilometers an hour—exactly the same speed that the earth rotates.A satellite must orbit the Earth with its antennae facing the earth. Sometimes, it moves away from its orbit,So there are little rockets on it which are used to put the satellite back in the right position. This usually happens about every five or six days.Space is not empty! Every week, more and more satellites are sent into space to orbit the Earth. A satellite usually works for about 10-12 years. Satellites which are broken are sometimes repaired by astronauts or sometimes brought back to Earth to be repaired. Often, very old or broken satellites are left in space to orbit the Earth for a very long time. This is very serious because some satellites use nuclear power and they can crash into each other.1.Which of the following is NOT done by satellites according to the passage?A. Sending information for weather forecast.B. Taking photographs of the Earth.C. Sending TV pictures.D. Providing food for airplane pilots.2.What’s the speed the earth rotates at?A.35,880 kilometers per hour.B.335,880 kilometers per hour.C.11,000 kilometers per hour.D.110,000 kilometers per hour3.Why does the satellite move around the world at the same speed as the Earth rotates?A. In order to take photographs.B. In order to stay in a certain position in the orbit.C. In order to move away from its orbit.D. In order to send television pictures.4.What does the underlined word “This” in the 3rd paragraph refer to?A. Asatellite.B.A little rocket.C. A satellite seems to stay in the same place in the sky.D. The satellite puts the rockets in the right position.5.Which is true of satellites?A.A satellite usually works for about 10-12 years.B. Every time a satellite gets broken, it is brought back to the Earth to be repaired.C.A broken satellite is never left in space.D. They often crash into each other.参考答案DCBCA第二篇阅读理解****EatingAn important question about eating out is who pays for the meal. If a friend of yours asks you to have lunch with him, you may say something like this,“I’m afraid it’ll have to be someplace cheap, as I have very little money." The other person may say,“O K, I’ll meet you at McDonald’s."This means that the two agree to go Dutch, that is, each person pays for himself. He may also say,“Oh, no. I want to take you to lunch at Smith’s," or“I want you to try the Chinese dumplings there. They’re great." This means the person wants to pay for both of you. If you feel friendly towards this person, you can go with him and you needn’t pay for the meal. You may just say,“Thank you. That would be very nice."American customs(1) about who pays for dates(2) are much the same as in other parts of the world. In the old days, American women wanted men to pay for all the meals. 【人教新目标】2019年中考英语二轮复习专项练习:阅读理解(二)附答案

2019年中考英语阅读理解编习题(二)附答案【能力选练】 A(2019中考选练)If you want to become a fluent(流利的)English speaker you should take some advice: There are four skills in learning English. They are reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The most important thing you must remember is that if you want to improve your speaking and writing skills you should first master the skills of reading and listening.Read as much as you can. But your reading must be active. It means that you must think about the meaning of the sentence, the meanings of the unfamiliar words, etc. There is no need for you to pay much attention to grammars or try to understand all the unfamiliar words you come across, but the fact that you see them for the first time and recognize them whenever you see them, for example in other passages or books, is enough. It would be better to prepare yourself a notebook so you can write down the important words or sentences in it_As for listening, there are two choices: besides reading, you can listen every day for about 30 minutes. You can only pay attention to your reading and become skillful at your reading, then you can catch up on your listening. Since you have lots of inputs in your mind, you can easily guess what the speaker is going to say. This never means that you should not practice listening. For listening you can listen to cartoons or some movies that are specially made for children. Their languages are easy. Or if you are good at listening you can listen to VOA or BBC programs every day. Again the thing to remember is being active in listening and preferably taking some notes. If you follow these pieces of advice, your speaking and writing will improve automatically, and you can be sure that with a little effort they will become perfect.1. According to the author, which should you improve first among the four skills?A. Reading and writing.B. Reading and listening.C. Writing andspeaking. D. Speaking and listening.2. The underlined phrase "come across" in Paragraph 2 can probably be replaced by "_______".A. meet byaccident B. discoverC. find on purposeD. look for3. The author seems to agree with the view that_______.A. everyone should listen to VOA or BBC programs every dayB. you needn't practice listening if you keep on reading every dayC. being good at reading is helpful in improving your listeningD. you should take notes of whatever you are hearing4. The passage is mainly about how to_______.A. choose suitable listening materialsB. deal with new words in readingC. read as many English books as possibleD. become fluent in speaking and writing English参考答案BACD【能力选练】 B中考英语阅读理解****浪费可耻Waste can be seen everywhere in the school. Some students ask for more food than they can eat and others often forget to turn off the lights when they leave the classroom. They say they can afford these things. But I don’t agree with them.Waste can bring a lot of problems. Although China is rich in some resources(资源), we are short of(缺乏) others, for example, fresh water(淡水). It is reported that we will have no coal(煤) or oil to use in 100 years. So if we go on wasting our resources, what can we use in the future and where can we move? Think about it. I think we should say no to the students who waste things every day. Everybody should stop wasting as soon as possible. In our everyday life, we can do many things to prevent waste from happening, for example, turn off the water taps(水龙头) when we finish washing, turn off the lights when we leave the classroom, try not to order more food than we need, and so on. Little by little, everything will be changed. Waste can be stopped one day, if we do our best.◆根据以上短文内容,然后从每题所给的四个选项中选择最佳选项。

2019届中考英语阅读理解50篇(含答案)

2019届中考英语阅读理解50篇( 精品训练题)1When I was a kid in Minnesota, watermelon was expensive. One of my father’s friends, Bernie, was a rich businessman, who owned a large store in St. Paul.Every summer, when the first watermelons arrived, Bernie would call. Dad and I would go to Bernie’s place. We’d sit on the edge of the dock(码头), feet dangling(摇晃), and got ready for a big meal.Bernie would take his knife, cut our first watermelon, hand us both a big piece and sit down next to us. Then we’d bury our faces in watermelon, eating only the heart—the reddest, juiciest, firmest, sweetest, most seed-free part—and throw away the rest.Bernie was my father’s idea of a rich man. I always thought it was because he was such a successful businessman. Years later, I realized that it was not Bernie’s wealth itself but his way of dealing with it that my father liked. (二)快速浏览全文,掌握全貌,注意发现与问题有关的信息,如果时间紧,至少要扫视一下起首段和尾段。
再把标题和文章内容结合起来想一想,这样全文大意便清楚了。
此时,不要忙于答题。
(三)细读原文,捕捉相关信息词,掌握短文细节内容。
这是解题的关键,应特别注意以下几点:1.抓住四个"W"和一个"H",就是边读边用铅笔做些标记,把What (事件),When (时间),Where(地点),Why(原因),How(经过)划出来。
