本单元主要话题是谈论假期，以日记的形式记录自己生活的故事。

写英文日记是“写作”题中常见题型之一，其一般对内容、体裁、格式、词数都有严格的要求。

日记可以有标题，通常可以省略。

正文部分可以顶格写，也可以空三到五个字母的空隙。

一般情况下可以用过去时态来叙述，但是若有议论、抒情或写景时，可以用现在时态或将来时态。

日记中记叙的事情不宜过多过杂，选取你印象最深的一两件事记叙即可，不能写成流水账。

左上角顶格写日期，星期几。

此部分内容页可以写在第一行偏右位置。

3. 写作应用
请写一篇日记：5月1日，星期天。

要点如下：
今天是五一节，是一个重大节日；
同朋友外出游览，上午去西湖公园，中午在树下野餐，之后泛舟游西湖；
上岸后遇到了外国朋友，于是就用英语与之攀谈，他们夸你们英语说得好，你们感到很高兴，你们过
了一个愉快的假期；
词数要求80词左右；
参考词汇：
go sightseeing 去观光；picnic 野餐；go boating 去划
船；foreign 外国的；
写作思路点拨：
时态：一般过去时。

人称：用第一人称。

写作思路：本文是以日记文体记录一天发生的事情，首先总体介绍假期观光情况，接着具体描述去过
的地方，然后叙述与老外交流情况，最后总结对假期游玩的评价。

注意事项：注意日记书写格式。

记录过去的事情，用一般过去时态。

注意首尾呼应。

在写这类短文时，多用的是一般现在时。

一般从饮食、锻炼、学习和业余爱好等方面入手，叙述自己的习惯。

常会用到本单元学到的表示频率的副词或短语，如：every day, always, usually, often, hardly (ever), seldom, never, once or twice a week等。

3. 写作应用
假如你最好的朋友叫Mary, 她学习很好，因为她有非常好的生活习惯。

请从以下几个方面向大家做一下介绍。

提示：（1）早睡早起，从不熬夜（stay up late）；
（2）饮食习惯好，每天吃很多蔬菜和水果，从不吃垃圾食品；
（3）身体健康，每周锻炼三、四次，每天步行上学；
（4）在学校学习努力，课堂上认真听讲，按时完成作业；
（5）闲时在家经常看书，有时上网。

同时注意，语言要精炼。
