And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in

The first story is about connecting the dots.

I dropped out of Reed College after the first six months but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out? It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife, except that when I popped out, they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking, "We've got an unexpected baby boy. Do you want him?" They said, "Of course." My biological mother found out later that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would go to college.

IntroductionIn 2005, Steve Jobs, the co-founder, and CEO of Apple Inc, delivered a speech to the graduating class of Stanford University. The speech captured the essence of his life philosophy and experiences. Jobs' message was simple yet profound: connect the dots, follow your passion, and never be afraid to pursue what you love. This article aims to explore the deeper meaning of Steve Jobs' speech and its significance to personal and professional development. The First Lesson: Connecting the DotsIn his speech, Jobs shared his experience of dropping out of college and secretly auditing classes to learn about his passions. He spoke about how this knowledge would later connect the dots and make sense in his life. Jobs advised the graduates to never fear failure, trust the process, and trust themselves to find their calling in life. According to him, every experience, every decision we make contributes to where we find ourselves in life. The concept of connecting the dots refers to our ability to reflect upon our past experiences, both good and bad, and how they lead us to where we are now. We should view our mistakes as steps toward success and should not be afraid to take risks to attain our goals. Jobs believed that the dots would somehow connect in your future, but you must trust the process and never give up.The Second Lesson: Following your PassionIn his speech, Jobs emphasized the importance of following your passion. He believed that we should find something we love, and in doing so, we will never feel like we are working. Following your passion could lead to personal fulfillment, creativity, and success. According to Jobs, pursuing what you love may not always be easy, but it will always be worthwhile. The Third Lesson: Facing DeathJobs also addressed the topic of mortality and how it shapes our lives. He spoke about how facing death helped him appreciate life and that no one should have to live someoneelse's life. He believed we should live every day as if it were our last and let that mindset drive us to pursue our dreams and passions.ConclusionThe speech delivered by Jobs was a reflection of his life philosophy and experiences that he wanted to share with the graduating class of Stanford University. Jobs stressed the importance of connecting the dots, following your passion, and facing death. His speech left a lasting impression on listeners, inspiring many to pursue their dreams with passion and dedication. In conclusion, Steve Jobs' speech was much more than just a motivational message. His words spoke to the hearts of his audience and conveyed a deeper meaning about the essence of life. Today, I want to share with you my thoughts about a speech by a very famous person named Steve Jobs. He gave this speech at Stanford University, and it was really inspiring! Let me tell you all about it.First of all, who is Steve Jobs? Well, he was the co-founder of a company called Apple. You might have heard of it! They make cool gadgets like iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers. Steve Jobs was a very important person in the world of technology. In his speech, Steve Jobs talked about his life and the lessons he learned. One of the things he said that really caught my attention was about following our dreams. He told us to never give up on what we love to do. Sometimes, people might say mean things or tell us that we can't do something. But Steve Jobs said we should believe in ourselves and keep trying.Another thing Steve Jobs talked about was connecting the dots. He said that sometimes in life, things might not make sense at the moment, but later on, we will understand why they happened. It's like connecting dots in a picture. Each dot might not seem important, but when we connect them all, we see the big picture. That really made me think!Steve Jobs also shared a story about how he got fired from the company he started. Can you believe that? But instead of giving up, he kept going and started a new company called Pixar. They made amazing movies like Toy Story and Finding Nemo. It taught me that even when things don't go as planned, we can still find success if we don't give up.One more thing I learned from Steve Jobs' speech is about death. It sounds sad, but he said that knowing we will die someday can actually help us make the most of our lives. He said that we should live each day as if it's our last and do the things that truly matter to us. That's a really important lesson, and I want to remember it always.Listening to Steve Jobs' speech made me feel motivated and inspired. Today I want to share with you my thoughts on the amazing speech given by Steve Jobs at Stanford University. He was the co-founder of Apple Inc. and a very successful entrepreneur. His speech was truly inspiring and taught us many valuable lessons.First, Steve Jobs told us about his life's journey. He spoke about dropping out of college and how it was actually a blessing in disguise. He told us that we should always trust our instincts and follow our hearts, even if it means taking a different path than what others expect from us. This really resonated with me because sometimes I worry about making mistakes, but Steve Jobs showed us that it's okay to take risks and learn from them.Another important lesson from his speech was about connecting the dots. Steve Jobs explained that we may not always understand how things will come together in the future, but looking back, we can see how different experiences and choices shaped our lives. This made me realize that everything we do, even the small things, can have a big impact on our future. It's important to embrace new experiences and learn from them because we never know how they will shape our lives later on.The most powerful part of Steve Jobs' speech, in my opinion, was when he talked about death. He said that knowing we willeventually die is the greatest motivation to live our lives to the fullest. This was a bit scary for me to think about, but at the same time, it made me realize that I should appreciate every moment and make the most of my time. It reminded me to cherish my family, friends, and all the little things that bring me joy.Steve Jobs also emphasized the importance of finding our passion and doing what we love. He said, "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work." This encouraged me to explore my interests and find something that I am truly passionate about. It doesn't matter if others think it's the right choice or not, as long as it brings me happiness and fulfillment. In conclusion, Steve Jobs' speech at Stanford University was truly inspiring. He taught us to trust ourselves, take risks, connect the dots, appreciate life, and follow our passions. Even though he was a successful businessman, his words were relatable and applicable to everyone, regardless of age or occupation. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from him and I will carry these lessons with me throughout my life.Remember, as Steve Jobs said, "Stay hungry, stay foolish." This means we should always have a hunger for knowledge and be willing to take risks, even if it means looking foolish. Let'sembrace our dreams and make a difference in the world, just like Steve Jobs did.

Jobs’ speech in Stanford University is not so grand and magnificent like other famous people’s. As Jobs said, “No big deal. Just three stories.” However, just three stories contain a wealth of philosophy of life. The first story is about c onnecting the dots. Jobs’ birth or his life experience can be called so miserable. But I’m convinced that most successful people all have a legendary life experience, which has an influence on their success more or less. He slept on the floor in friends’ rooms; returned coke bottles for the five cent deposits to buy food······All these things seemed unaccepted, but Jobs loved it and much of what he stumbled into by following his curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. The more difficult, the stronger a man will become. I was born in a poor family, too. So I work hard and believe I will get a better future one day. No pains, no gains. I’m convinced that all efforts will be rewarding someday. In addition, Jobs also gave us a lesson that interest and curiosity are our best teachers. We can never know what we have learned whether has a practical application and the decisions we have made are right or wrong. But Jobs gave us an example. If he hadn’t dropped out, he could never take a calligra phy class, and also could never design the first Macintosh computer with beautiful typography. So, now that you make a decision, just don’t regret to do it.The second story is about love and loss. He got fired from the Apple Company he started. That sounds amazing. But it turned out that gettingfired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to him. During that time, he made a deep reflection on himself and realized that he still loved what he did. Thankfully, after he returned, he entered one of the most creative periods of his life. He makes me know the only way to be satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the only way to do great work is to love what you do.The third story is about death. Have you ever lived each day as if it was your last? Have you ever looked in the mirror every morning and asked yourself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” Frankly, I haven’t done that ever. I think I’m young and I have many tomorrows. But now I realize that I’m totally wrong. Who knows how many days you will survive? Just like Jobs, he could never know he would get a cancer. So, seize the day! You time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.Jobs’ life is full of wisdom of the Chan sect. It needs everyone to taste and comprehend. And I think the words he said, “Stay hung ry. Stay foolish”, worth being kept all my life!。

A comment of the speech by Steve Jobs at Standford
University
It is known to us all Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and we all know the lecture by him at Standford University. I’m writing to comment on the famous speech.
I think highly of speech especially the sentence which is that“Right now the new is you ,but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away”. How wonderful is the words which give me a lot of illuminations. As follows.
Maybe it is dramatic but it is quite true. Although I know my time is limited and I don’t have right to refuse death, but I often forget it.
The sentence reminds me of thinking of the thing again which is I wanted to do and I must do. It also gives me alarm that doesn’t waste my valuable time living someone else’s life or I will be living with the results of other people’s think.
I will never let the noise of others’ opinions drown out my own inner voice from now on.
