美国总统罗斯福就职英语演讲稿美国总统罗斯福供职演讲稿(英文版)President Hoover, Mr. Chief Justice, my friends:This is a day of national consecration. And I am certain that on this day my fellow Americans expect that on my induction into the Presidency, I will address them with a candor and a decision which the present situation of our people impels. This is preeminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. Nor need we shrink from honestly facing conditions in our country today. This great Nation will endure, as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself -- nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes neededefforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life, a leadership of frankness and of vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. And I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.In such a spirit on my part and on yours we face our difficulties. They concern, thank God, only material things. Values have shrunk to fantastic levels; taxes have risen; our ability to pay has fallen; government of all kinds is faced by serious curtailment of income; the means of exchange arefrozen in the currents of trade; the withered leaves of industrial enterprise lie on every side; farmers find no markets for their produce; and the savings of many years in thousands of families are gone. More important, a host of unemployed citizens face the grim problem of existence, and an equally great number toil with little return. Only afoolish optimist can deny the dark realities of the moment. And yet our distress comes from no failure of substance. We are stricken by no plague of locusts. Compared with the perils which our forefathers ered, because they believed and were not afraid, we have still much to be thankful for. Nature still offers her bounty and humanefforts have multiplied it. Plenty is at our doorstep, but a generous use of it languishes in the very sight of the supply.Primarily, this is because the rulers of the exchange of mankind's goods have failed, through their own stubbornness and their own incompetence, have admitted their failure, and have abdicated. Practices of the unscrupulous money changers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, rejected by the hearts and minds of men.True, they have tried. But their efforts have been cast in the pattern of an outworn tradition. Faced by failure of credit, they have proposed only the lending of more money. Stripped of the lure of profit by which to induce our people to follow their false leadership, they have resorted to exhortations, pleading tearfully for restored confidence. They only know the rules of a generation of self-seekers. They have no vision, and when there is no vision the people perish.Yes, the money changers have fled from their high seats in the temple of our civilization. We may now restore that temple to the ancient truths. The measure of that restoration lies in the extent to which we apply social values more noble than mere monetary profit.Happiness lies not in the mere possession of money;it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. The joy, the moral stimulation of work no longer must be forgotten in the mad chase of evanescent profits. These dark days, my friends, will be worth all they cost us if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered unto but to minister to ourselves, to our fellow men.Recognition of that falsity of material wealth as the standard of success goes hand in hand with the abandonment of the false belief that public office and high political position are to be valued only by the standards of pride of place and personal profit; and there must be an end to a conduct in banking and in business which too often has given to a sacred trust the likeness of callous and selfish wrongdoing. Small wonder that confidence languishes, for it thrives only on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection, and on unselfish performance; without them it cannot live.Restoration calls, however, not for changes in ethics alone. This Nation is asking for action, and action now.Our greatest primary task is to put people to work. This is no unsolvable problem if we face it wisely and courageously. It can be accomplished in part by direct recruiting by the Government itself, treating the task as wewould treat the emergency of a war, but at the same time, through this employment, accomplishing great -- greatly needed projects to stimulate and reorganize the use of our great natural resources.Hand in hand with that we must frankly recognize the overbalance of population in our industrial centers and, by engaging on a national scale in a redistribution, endeavor to provide a better use of the land for those best fitted for the land.Yes, the task can be helped by definite efforts to raise the values of agricultural products, and with this the power to purchase the output of our cities. It can be helped by preventing realistically the tragedy of the growing loss through foreclosure of our small homes and our farms. It can be helped by insistence that the Federal, the State, and the local governments act forthwith on the demand that their cost be drastically reduced. It can be helped by the unifying of relief activities which today are often scattered, uneical, unequal. It can be helped by national planning for and supervision of all forms of transportation and of ications and other utilities that have a definitely public character. There are many ways in which it can be helped, but it can never be helped by merely talking about it.We must act. We must act quickly. And finally, in our progress towards a resumption of work, we require two safeguards against a return of the evils of the old order. There must be a strict supervision of all banking and credits and investments. There must be an end tospeculation with other people's money. And there must be provision for an adequate but sound currency. These, my friends, are the lines of attack. I shall presently urge upon a new Congress in special sessiondetailed measures for their fulfillment, and I shall seek the immediate assistance of the 48 States.Through this program of action we address ourselvesto putting our own national house in order and making income balance outgo. Our international trade relations, thoughvastly important, are in point of time, and necessity, secondary to the establishment of a sound national ey. I favor, as a practical policy, the putting of first things first. I shall spare no effort to restore world trade by international eic readjustment; but the emergency at home cannot wait on that accomplishment. The basic thought that guides these specific means of national recovery is not nationally -- narrowly nationalistic. It is the insistence, as a first consideration, upon the interdependence of the various elements in and parts of the United States of America -- a recognition of the old and permanently important manifestation of the American spirit of the pioneer. It is the way to recovery. It is the immediate way. It is the strongest assurance that recovery will endure. In the field of world policy, I would dedicate this Nation to the policy of the good neighbor: the neighbor who resolutely respects himself and, because he does so, respects the rights of others; the neighbor who respects hisobligations and respects the sanctity of his agreements inand with a world of neighbors. If I read the temper of our people correctly, we now realize, as we have never realized before, our interdependence on each other; that we can not merely take, but we must give as well; that if we are to go forward, we must move as a trained and loyal army willing to sacrificefor the good of a discipline, because without suchdiscipline no progress can be made, no leadership becomes effective. We are, I know, ready and willing to submit our lives and our property to such discipline, because it makes possible a leadership which aims at the larger good. This, I propose to offer, pledging that the larger purposes will bind upon us, bind upon us all as a sacred obligation with a unity of duty hitherto evoked only in times of armed strife. With this pledge taken, I assume unhesitatingly the leadership of this great army of our people dedicated to a disciplined attack upon our problems.Action in this image, action to this end is feasible under the form of government which we have inherited from our ancestors. Our Constitution is so simple, so practical thatit is possible always to meet extraordinary needs by changes in emphasis and arrangement without loss of essential form. That is why our constitutional system has proved itself the most superbly enduring political mechanism the modern world has ever seen.It has met every stress of vast expansion of territory, of foreign wars, of bitter internal strife, of world relations. And it is to be hoped that the normal balance of executive and legislative authority may be whollyequal, wholly adequate to meet the unprecedented task before us. But it may be that an unprecedented demand and need for undelayed action may call for temporary departure from that normal balance of public procedure.I am prepared under my constitutional duty to recommend the measures that a stricken nation in the midst of a stricken world may require. These measures, or such other measures as the Congress may build out of its experience and wisdom, I shall seek, within my constitutional authority, to bring to speedy adoption. But, in the event that the Congress shall fail to take one of these two courses, in the event that the national emergency is still critical, I shall not evade the clear course of duty that will then confront me. I shall ask the Congress for the one remaining instrument to meet the crisis -- broad Executive power to wage a war against the emergency, as great as the power that would be given to me if we were in fact invaded by a foreign foe.For the trust reposed in me, I will return the courage and the devotion that befit the time. I can do no less.We face the arduous days that lie before us in the warm courage of national unity; with the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious moral values; with the clean satisfaction that comes from the stern performance of duty by old and young alike. We aim at the assurance of a rounded, a permanent national life.We do not distrust the -- the future of essential democracy. The people of the United States have not failed. In their need they have registered a mandate that they want direct, vigorous action. They have asked for discipline and direction under leadership. They have made me the present instrument of their wishes. In the spirit of the gift I take it.In this dedication -- In this dedication of a Nation, we humbly ask the blessing of God.May He protect each and every one of us.May He guide me in the days to come.

Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, fellow Americans,It is with great honor and privilege that I stand before you today as the President of the United States. I am humbled by the trust and faith that you, the American people, have placed in me. I am committed to serving you and working tirelessly for the betterment of our great nation. As we gather here today, we find ourselves at a critical juncture in our history. The challenges we face are immense, but so too are the opportunities. It is through our collective will and determination that we will overcome these obstacles and emerge stronger than ever before.First and foremost, I want to address the issue that has plagued our nation for far too long – the division and polarization that has gripped our society. We must come together as one people, united by our shared values, and work towards a common purpose. We are stronger when we stand together, and it is through unity that we will find the strength to face our challenges head-on.In order to build this unity, we must address the societal and economic inequalities that have left many of our fellow citizens behind. The wealth and prosperity of our nation should not be concentrated in the hands of a few, but rather shared by all. We must work towards creating an inclusive society, where every American has the opportunity to succeed and thrive. This means investing in education, job training, and infrastructure to create the conditions for economic growth and upward mobility.Furthermore, we must address the pressing issue of climate change. Our planet is at a tipping point, and the time for action is now. The United States must lead the world in transitioning to a clean energy economy. This will not only help combat climate change, but also create millions of jobs and spur innovation. We owe it to future generations to leave behind a world that is cleaner, safer, and more sustainable. In addition to these domestic challenges, we must also navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing global landscape. The United States has long been a beacon of hope and a champion of democracy and human rights. We must continue to uphold these values and engage with the international community to address issues such as terrorism, nuclear proliferation, and global poverty. We cannot retreat from the world stage; rather, we must lead with strength and conviction.Lastly, I want to emphasize the importance of unity in the face of adversity. Throughout our nation's history, we have faced numerous challenges, but it is during these moments that we have come together as one nation, indivisible. We must reject the politics of division and embrace the values that have made our nation strong – liberty, equality, and justice for all.In conclusion, my fellow Americans, let us embrace this moment as an opportunity to build a better future for ourselves and for generations to come. Let us come together as one people, united by our shared values, and work towards a common purpose. Let us face our challenges with strength and perseverance, knowing thatwe have the power to overcome anything. Together, we will write the next chapter in the great American story.Thank you, and God bless America. As we look towards the future, it is essential that we focus on strengthening our democracy and ensuring that all Americans have equal access to the political process. We must restore trust in our institutions and protect the integrity of our elections. To achieve this, I will work with Congress to pass comprehensive electoral reform legislation. This will include measures to address voter suppression, expand access to voting, and regulate campaign finance. Every eligible American should be able to exercise their right to vote without facing unnecessary obstacles or discrimination.Furthermore, we must address the corrosive influence of money in politics. The influence of wealthy individuals and special interest groups has undermined the voices of everyday Americans. We must overturn the disastrous Citizens United decision and establish reasonable limits on campaign contributions. Our democracy should be driven by the power of ideas, not the size of one's wallet.I also want to address the pressing issue of criminal justice reform. Our current system is deeply flawed and disproportionately impacts communities of color. We must work towards ending mass incarceration and focus on alternative sentencing, rehabilitation, and reintegration. We must also address the disparities in our justice system, including the racial bias that exists at every stage, from policing to sentencing. In addition to these domestic priorities, we must continue to be a force for good in the world. The United States has a responsibility to protect human rights and promote democracy across the globe. We must work with our allies to combat authoritarian regimes and support those fighting for freedom and democracy. We will not turn a blind eye to human rights abuses, whether they occur within our borders or abroad.Furthermore, we must recommit ourselves to the principles of diplomacy and multilateralism. We will rebuild our relationships with our traditional allies and restore our standing on the world stage. At the same time, we will engage with countries that may have been adversaries in the past, seeking common ground and working towards peace and stability. One of the greatest challenges we face is the threat of climate change. We cannot ignore the science; it is clear that our planet is warming at an alarming rate. We must take bold action to reduce our emissions, transition to renewable energy sources, and investin sustainable infrastructure. By doing so, we can create green jobs, protect our environment, and ensure a livable planet for future generations.Furthermore, we must prioritize investment in science and technology. These fields have the power to drive innovation, create jobs, and solve some of our most pressing challenges. From advancements in healthcare to breakthroughs in clean energy, we must support and encourage the brightest minds to push the boundaries of what is possible.Lastly, I want to emphasize the importance of unity and empathy in our society. We must strive to understand each other's perspectives and work towards common goals. We must listen to those who are marginalized or disenfranchised, and lift up their voices. Only by coming together and embracing our diversity can we fully realize the promise of America. In conclusion, my fellow Americans, the road ahead may be difficult, but I have faith in our collective ability to overcome any obstacle. This is a time for action, for unity, and for progress. Together, we will build a future that is more just, more prosperous, and more sustainable. Together, we will create an America that lives up to its highest ideals and fulfills its promise of liberty and justice for all.Thank you, and may God bless the United States of America.。

First, I'd like to thank the commission and my opponents for participating in these debates and making them possible. I think the real winners of the debates were the American people. I was especially moved in Richmond a few days ago, when 209 of our fellow citizens got to ask us questions. They went a long way toward reclaiming this election for the American people and taking their country back. I want to say, since this is the last time, I'll be on platform with my opponents, that even though, I disagree with Mr. Perot on how fast we can reduce the deficit and how much we can increase taxes in the middle class, I really respect what he's done in this campaign to bring the issue of deficit reduction to our attention. I'd like to say that Mr. Bush even though I have got profound differences with him, I do honor his service to our country. I appreciate his efforts and I wish him well. I just believe it's time to change.I offer a new approach. It's not trickle-down economics. It's been tried for 12 years and it's failed. More people are working harder, for less, 100,000 people a month losing their health insurance, unemployment going up, our economics slowing down. We can do better, and it's not tax and spend economics. It's invest and grow, put our people first, control health care costs and provide basic health care to all Americans, have an education system second to none, and revitalize the private economy. That is my commitment to you. It is the kind of change that can open up a whole world of opportunities toward the 21st century.I want a country where people, who work hard and play by the rules, are rewarded, not punished. I want a country where people are coming together across the lines of race and region and income. I know we can do better. It won't take miracles and it won't happen overnight, but we can do much, much better, if we have the courage to change.Thank you very much.。

Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is an honor and a privilege to stand before you today as a candidate for the presidency of our great nation. This is not just a political race; it is a mission—a mission to unite our country, to restore its greatness, and to ensure a brighter future for all our citizens. As we gather here today, our nation stands at a crossroads. We face numerous challenges, both domestically and internationally, that require bold leadership and a clear vision for the future. It is my firm belief that together, we can overcome these challenges and build a stronger, more prosperous, and more just society.Let me start by expressing my deepest gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support and confidence in me. Your voices have been heard, and your concerns are at the forefront of my campaign. I am running for president because I am deeply committed to serving you, the people of this great nation.First and foremost, we must tackle the economic challenges that have plagued our country for far too long. The prosperity that once defined our nation has been eroded by inequality, unemployment, and a broken healthcare system. It is time to put an end to these injustices and to rebuild our economy on a foundation of fairness and opportunity. My economic plan is straightforward:1. Create jobs: We will invest in infrastructure, education, and innovation to create millions of new jobs across the nation. By modernizing our roads, bridges, and public transportation systems, we will not only create jobs but also improve the quality of life for all Americans.2. Invest in education: Education is the key to a brighter future. Iwill fight to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has access to a quality education. This includes increasing funding for public schools, expanding access to higher education, and supporting vocational training programs.3. Reform the tax code: We will implement a fair and progressive tax system that rewards hard work and entrepreneurship while closing loopholes that allow the wealthy to exploit the system. This will ensure that everyone pays their fair share and that the tax burden is distributed more equitably.4. Strengthen healthcare: Access to affordable, quality healthcare is a fundamental right. I will fight to reform our healthcare system, ensuring that all Americans have access to comprehensive coverage without the fear of financial ruin.Secondly, we must address the issues of social justice and equality that divide our nation. Racism, discrimination, and inequality have no place in a society that prides itself on freedom and equality for all. It is my commitment to work tirelessly to bridge the gaps that separate us and to create a society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. My social justice plan includes:1. Combating systemic racism: We will implement policies that address the root causes of racial disparities, including fair hiring practices, equitable law enforcement, and criminal justice reform.2. Supporting women's rights: We will fight for equal pay, reproductive rights, and access to education and employment opportunities for women. It is time to recognize the invaluable contributions that women make to our society and to ensure that they have the same opportunities as their male counterparts.3. Protecting LGBTQ+ rights: We will work to end discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. It is our responsibility to protect the rights of all minorities and to create a society where everyone feels safe and accepted.4. Ensuring equal opportunities: We will fight to close the achievement gap, provide affordable housing, and ensure that every American has access to quality healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.Moving forward, we must also address the growing threats to our national security and the environment. In an increasingly interconnected world, we must stand united in our commitment to protect our nation and to combat the existential threat of climate change. My national security and environmental plan includes:1. Strengthening our military: We will invest in our military to ensure that our nation is prepared to face any challenge. This includes modernizing our arsenal, improving our intelligence capabilities, and supporting our veterans.2. Combating terrorism: We will work with our allies to dismantle terror networks and to prevent the spread of radical ideologies. It isessential that we stand together in the fight against terrorism and to promote peace and stability around the globe.3. Addressing climate change: We will prioritize environmentalprotection and commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, transitioning to renewable energy sources, and protecting our natural resources for future generations.4. Promoting global cooperation: We will engage with the international community to address global challenges, including trade agreements, human rights, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In conclusion, my vision for our nation is one of unity, progress, and prosperity. We must come together as a nation, transcending our differences, to build a future that is brighter, fairer, and more just for all.As your president, I will work tirelessly to achieve these goals. I will listen to your voices, I will fight for your interests, and I will never settle for anything less than excellence.Together, we can make our nation great again. Together, we can create a future that we can all be proud of.Thank you for your support, and may God bless the United States of America.God bless you all.。

It is with great honor and a profound sense of responsibility that I stand before you today to address the American people. As your President, I am committed to leading this nation through challenging times with hope, resilience, and a shared vision for a brighter future. Today, I want to talk about the power of unity, the strength of our democracy, and the unyielding spirit that has always defined the American character. In the annals of history, there have been moments when the future seemed uncertain, when the path ahead was shrouded in doubt. Yet, it is during these times that our greatest strengths are revealed, and our most profound victories are achieved. Today, America faces such a moment. Together, we must confront the challenges that lie ahead, and we must do so with unwavering determination and an unwavering faith in the ideals that have guided us for over two centuries.First and foremost, we must remember that our strength lies in our diversity. America is a tapestry of cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds, and it is this mosaic that has made us the greatest nation on Earth. We are a nation of immigrants, of those who have come from every corner of the globe seeking freedom, opportunity, and a chance to build a better life for their children. Let us celebrate this diversity, for it is the foundation upon which our strength is built. In the face of adversity, we have always risen to the occasion. From the settlers who braved the unknown to reach the shores of a new continent, to the soldiers who fought and sacrificed to preserve our freedom, our history is replete with examples of courage and perseverance. Today, we must once again summon the spirit of our forebears and face the challenges that lie before us.Economic uncertainty, political polarization, and social unrest have tested our resolve as a nation. But we have overcome greater trials before. We have faced economic depressions, wars, and civil rights struggles, and each time, we have emerged stronger, more united, and more determined to forge a path towards a better future. We must also remember that our democracy is a fragile thing. It requires constant vigilance, the active participation of its citizens, and theunwavering commitment to the rule of law. It is not a gift that we can take for granted; it is something that we must defend with every fiberof our being. As we navigate the complexities of our times, let us never forget the principles that have made our democracy the envy of the world.Education is the cornerstone of our democracy. It is the key tounlocking the potential of every child, and the foundation upon whichour future prosperity is built. We must invest in our schools, ensuring that every student has access to a quality education that prepares them for the challenges of the 21st century. Let us commit to excellence in education, for in doing so, we invest in the future of our nation.Science and innovation have always been the engines of progress in America. They have driven us to new heights, from the moon landing tothe cures for diseases that once threatened to decimate our population. We must continue to foster a culture of innovation, encouraging our brightest minds to push the boundaries of what is possible. Let usinvest in research and development, for in doing so, we not only improve the quality of life for our citizens but also secure our position as a global leader.Environmental stewardship is another critical issue that demands our immediate attention. The Earth is our home, and it is our responsibility to protect it for future generations. We must tackle the existential threat of climate change with urgency and determination. Bytransitioning to renewable energy sources, investing in green technology, and promoting sustainable practices, we can ensure that our planet remains habitable for generations to come. Finally, we must come together as a nation to address the pressingsocial issues that divide us. Racism, inequality, and injustice have no place in a society that prides itself on equality and opportunity. We must stand together against these scourges, and we must work tirelessly to build a more just and equitable society. This means supportingpolicies that promote economic mobility, ensuring equal access to healthcare, and upholding the civil rights of all Americans.Ladies and gentlemen, the road ahead is not an easy one. It will require sacrifice, hard work, and a willingness to listen and understand the perspectives of others. But I have faith in the American people. I have faith in our ability to come together, to overcome our differences, and to build a future that is worthy of our children and our grandchildren. In closing, let me leave you with a few words from our nation's second President, John Adams: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is the duty of wise men to improve it from time to time."As we move forward, let us be those wise men and women, always striving to improve our nation, to live up to the ideals that have guided us since our founding, and to leave behind a legacy of progress and prosperity for those who come after us.Thank you, God bless America, and may God bless us all.。

This will not only help combat climate change but also create jobs and enhance our national security.2. Energy Efficiency: I will promote energy efficiency in homes, businesses, and industries, reducing our overall energy consumption and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.3. Expand Access to Healthcare: I will work to expand access to healthcare for all Americans, including those who are uninsured or underinsured. This includes supporting the Affordable Care Act and exploring innovative solutions to provide comprehensive coverage for all.2. Lower Healthcare Costs: I will take steps to lower healthcare costs, including negotiating lower drug prices, reducing administrative waste, and promoting preventive care to reduce the incidence of chronic diseases.3. Improve Healthcare Quality: I will invest in healthcare research and development, promote telemedicine, and ensure that healthcare providers have the resources and support they need to deliver the highest quality care.In addition to addressing these domestic challenges, we must also confront the global threats that confront our nation. Our foreign policy must be guided by a commitment to human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.As president, I will:1. Strengthen International Alliances: We must maintain and strengthen our alliances with our closest allies, including our NATO partners, to ensure collective security and stability.2. It is a great honor for me to stand before you today as the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. As we gather here, I am reminded of the immense responsibility that comes with leading a nation, and the duty to represent the hopes and aspirations of its people.Germany has come a long way since the dark days of the 20th century. In a world that is increasingly interconnected, we cannot afford to turn a blind eye to the suffering of others, nor can we shy away from our responsibility to contribute to the common good.As the President of Germany, I am committed to working with our international partners to address the pressing issues of our time. Whether it is through diplomacy, trade, or humanitarian aid, we will seek to build bridges, not walls, and to promote understanding and mutual respect among nations. In closing, I would like to express my gratitude to the people of Germany for entrusting me with the privilege of serving as their President.
