EMERGENCY CARDS:
It is imperative that each student and all staff have emergency information on file in the Health Office. Homeroom teachers should instruct students to take the emergency form home for completion and return it on the next school day. Homeroom teachers should NOT accept a form unless it is completely filled out. Homeroom teachers should alphabetize the forms and send them to the Office (of their individual buildings) with a list of students who have NOT returned the information.
STUDENT MEDICATION :
All students taking prescribed medicine during school must see the nurse and bring in proper documentation from their doctor so that proper medication is dispensed and legal regulations are met.
ACCIDENT PROCEDURE FOR STUDENTS :
When a student is injured on school property during the school day, he/she must report to, or be taken to, the Health Office immediately.
An incident report must be completed by the witness and submitted to the administrative office.
ACCIDENT PROCEDURE FOR STAFF :
Under Chapter 1076, Acts of 1973 school personnel who, in good faith, make a report of suspected child abuse or neglect in accordance with the statute shall be immune from any civil or criminal liability that might otherwise be imposed.
