一、商务缩略语的文本特点
1. 谐音缩略法。即根据单词的发音, 用一个或数个字母来代替。具体来说, 有以下几种情况。（1）缩略语读音与原词读音相同。这种情况下, 缩略语相对容易识读, 如: U (YOU) R (ARE) OZ（ounce） OZWZ（otherwise） IOU（I owe you 借条） B2C（business to consumer）（2）缩略语读音与原词读音相似但不相同, 如: V=WE OFA = OFFER

一、商务缩略语的定义
在古代，像其他语言的缩略语一样，英语缩略语多见于古币、徽章、图案和碑文，因为要在这些小小的物体上刻划出较为复杂的内容，只能用缩略语。而这些古币、徽章、图案的使用是因为商务交际的需要，可以说缩略语首先产生于商务这一语域中。缩略语也曾作为一种记事的符号和密码。如希腊人曾将IHS 作Jesus (耶稣) 的象征，古罗马人把RSP当作“古罗马的元老院”( Roman Senate and People) 的缩写语，把拉丁语Anno Domini (公元) 缩写为A.
