英语阅读 推理判断题(隐含推断、观点态度)

英语阅读推理判断题A“To me,love is the most important thing. What could be more healing than love?”These words, like lines from a poem, are easy to agree with coming from Robin, who founded the Bumi Sehat Bali Clinic in central Ubud, the setting for the film Eat Pray Love. Now the clinic provides treatment or educational support for over 100,000 people annually.Giving birth to her first child at nineteen,Robin moved to Hawaii after college, working for several years on a farm, where she taught farming practices and poetry. But in 1991,she received heartbreaking news. Her idyllic life on the farm in Hawaii was turned upside down when her sister, expecting a child in Alabama, died of pregnancy complications(妊娠并发症).“When my dear sister passed away,I realized mothers were dying everywhere. In countries with increased poverty, some people can’t afford to go to the hospital. What motivated me initially was my love for my sister, but this soon grew into a concern for mothers and children all over the world.”Robin’s feelings for her si ster were transformed into a desire to help women everywhere in need.To ensure that children are born healthy, nutritionally balanced meals are provided for expecting mothers free of charge. Those who lack housing are free to stay as long as it is necessary. The clinic also sees patients of all ages who have symptoms unrelated to childbirth, while providing facilities for language learning and IT education, and annually training over 6,000 nursing and midwifery (助产) students, backed by a scholarship program.Just as Robin said, love is to be found inside the Bumi Sehat Bali Clinic.Perhaps feelings of showing kindness toward others and wanting to make the world a better place are the key to a brighter tomorrow.【语篇解读】本文是记叙文。

1、命题模式1)作者观点题①According to the author,---②In the author's opinion,---③What is the author's opinion (idea) about?(2)作者态度题①What is the tone (mood) of the passage?②The author's attitude towards...might be summarized as (seems to be)---③The author is most critical of---2、解题技巧①不要把自己的态度揉入其中,还要区分作者的态度还是作者引用别人的态度②当作者的态度没有明确提出时,要学会根据作者的语言的褒贬去判断作者的态度,如,wonderfully, successfully, unfortunately, doubtfully 等。

③作者的态度一般与文章主旨有很大关系④07年的考试题出现了新变化:第一,提问不再局限于作者的态度,发展到文中某人对某事的态度;第二,不再是明确的否定或是肯定词,strong/complete/entire/enthusiastic;而带有程度限制的词比较客观,常常是正确选项,如reserved(保留的);qualified(有条件的,有限制的)tempered(有所控制的);guarded(慎重的)/ approving(赞同的)⑤某一事是好是坏,作者对它是支持是反对,态度一般都很明确,而带中立色彩的词最不可能是正确答案。

问作者态度时,表示"客观"的词多为正确选项,如objective, impartial, unbiased 等;问作者对文中提到的人物或他们的观点态度时,答案多是肯定或否定,支持或反对。

高考英语复习-阅读理解(态度推断题)命题规律探究的;pessimistic悲观的高考真题引领(2021年新高考I卷D篇,保留原题序号)Popularization has in some cases changed the original meaning of emotional(情感的)intelligence. Many people now misunderstand emotional intelligence as almost everything desirable in a person’s makeup that cannot be measured by an IQ test, such as character, motivation, confidence, mental stability, optimism and“people skills.”Research has shown that emotional skills may contribute to some of these qualities, but most of them move far beyond skill-based emotional intelligence. We prefer to describe emotional intelligence as a specific set of skills that can be used for either good or bad purposes. The ability to accurately understand how others are feeling may be used by a doctor to find how best to help her patients, while a cheater might use it to control potential victims.Being emotionally intelligent does not necessarily make one a moral person.Although popular beliefs regarding emotional intelligence run far ahead of what research can reasonably support, the overall effects of the publicity have been more beneficial than harmful. The most positive aspect of this popularization is a new and much needed emphasis(重视)on emotion by employers, educators and others interested in promoting social well-being.The popularization of emotional intelligence has helped both the public and researchers re-evaluate the functionality of emotions and how they serve people adaptively in everyday life.Although the continuing popular appeal of emotional intelligence is desirable,we hope that such attention will excite a greater interest in the scientific and scholarly study of emotion. It is our hope that in coming decades, advances in science will offer new perspectives(视角)from which to study how people manage their lives.Emotional intelligence, with its focus on both head and heart, may serve to point us in the right direction.32.What is a common misunderstanding of emotional intelligence?A.It can be measured by an IQ test.B.It helps to exercise a person's mind.C.It includes a set of emotional skills.D.It refers to a person’s positive qualities.33.Why does the author mention“doctor”and“cheater”in paragraph2?A.To explain a rule.B.To clarify a concept.C.To present a fact.D.To make a prediction.34.What is the author's attitude to the popularization of emotional intelligence?A.Favorable.B.Intolerant.C.Doubtful.D.Unclear.35.What does the last paragraph mainly talk about concerning emotional intelligence?A.Its appeal to the public.B.Expectations for future studies.C.Its practical application.D.Scientists with new perspectives.【答案】32.D33.B34.A35.B【解题导读】本文是一篇议论文。

It is run by a local non-profit organisation that aims to feed nearly 400 children. The programme is simple. A tutor is someone who teaches one person or a very small group of students. When Goyal’s high school moved online last year because of the pandemic, she decided to also take her teaching online. The junior and three of her fellow students created TutorScope, a programme that offers free tutoring services to other children, including younger ones. It started with a small number of tutors who helped young people in their city. But it has grown into a group of 22 tutors from Texas, Arizona and Ohio. They have helped more than 300 students.TutorScope aims to give the one-on-one help that teachers have traditionally given while walking around their classrooms. But now, many teachers cannot provide that one-on-one support because they lack time or have issues with technology.Sarah Newman said her children, 7-year-old twins, had helpful TutorScope experiences. “With these tutors, I realise they have time,” she said, “I think they are very patient with these younger kids, which I do not even have as a mother. I have patience for other things, but I don’t have patience for teaching.”What makes the TutorScope effort special is the connection between the teenage volunteers and the other students they are helping. Although the pandemic has forced many students to look inward, Goyal said that working with others on a big project had permitted her to look outward.“My confidence level has increased,” Goyal said. She added that she has made friends with other students from her school. The explosion of technology has made teaching outside the traditional classroom possible for teachers and has provided learners with easy access to course materials. In April, 2005, I was approached by a student who was interested in our doctoral programme. However, the first question out of her mouth was,“Do you offer any online courses?” Later that day, as I was reading the conference programme guide trying for interesting presentations, I noticed many workshops on web-based learning and online education. I later attended two of those workshops and met several professors from different universities who had either taught online courses for quite some time or who were discovering the best practice for teaching online. These experiences helped me realise at least to some extent the degree of growth in online education.I made several attempts to enrich my knowledge of distance learning and online teaching. I consulted with my colleagues who were teaching online courses. This helped me recognise the importance of getting materials prepared even before the start of a term. I also learned that online courses may consume more time than regular classroom teaching. And I attended several workshops regarding online education and established a network with those who were involved in online programmes at other universities. I will consider these people as my consultants as I begin to design my own online course. Also, I conducted a brief survey with 15 students and two staff members who had taken or taught an online course before to understand their experience. Eventually I completed a literature review which gave me the foundation and the background of understanding the need for online education.9.Why did the author take a student for example?A.To show students’ love for the doctoral programme.B.To persuade learners of traditional education.C.To explain the growing trend of online education.D.To predict the future of the teaching career.10.What caused the author to know more about online education?A.The appetite for knowledge.B.The professional responsibilities.C.The requirement of research.D.The colleagues’ encouragement.11.What is the author’s attitude to online education?A.Carefree.B.Doubtful.C.Supportive.D.Unwilling.考点分类练(四)推理判断题——观点态度类【语篇导读】本文是一篇说明文。

ATechnology offers conveniences such as opening the garage door from your car or changing the television station without touching the TV.Now one American company is offering its employees a new convenience: a microchip implanted (植入) in their hands.Employees who have these chips can do all kinds of things just by waving their hands.Three SquareMarket is offering to implant microchips in all of their employees for free. Each chip costs D|S300 and Three Square Market will pay for the chip.Employees can volunteer to have the chips implanted in their hands.About 50 out of 80 employees have chosen to do so.The president of the company, his wife and their children are also getting chips implanted in their hands. The chip is about the size of a grain of rice.Implanting the chip only takes about a second and is said to hurt only very briefly. The chips go under the skin between the thumb and forefinger. With a chip in hand, a person can enter the office building, buy food, sign into computers and more, simply by waving that hand near a scanner. The chips will be also used to identify employees.Employees who want convenience, but do not want to have a microchip implanted under their skin, can wear a wristband (腕带) or a ring with a chip instead. They can perform the same tasks with a wave of their hands as if they had an implanted chip.Three Square Market is the first company in the United States to offer to implant chips in its employees.Epicenter, a company in Sweden, has been implanting chips in its employees for a while.Three Square Market says the chip cannot track the employees. The company says scanners can read the chips only when they are within a few inches of them.“The chips protect against identity theft, similar, to credit cards.”The U.S.Food and Drug Administration approved the chips back in 2004, so they should be safe for humans, according to the company. In the future, people with the chips may be able to do more with them, even outside the office.Todd Westby is Chief Executive Officer of Three Square Market. He says, “Eventually, this technology will become standardized allowing you to use this as your passport, public transit, all purchasing opportunities, etc.”1.What is the third paragraph mainly about?A.The substitutes of the chips.B.The advantages of the chips.C.The places to implant the chips.D.The potential risks of implanting the chips.2.What does the underlined word “them”in Paragraph 5 refer to?A.The hands.B.The employees.C.The scanners.D.The credit cards.3.We can infer that ________.A.the chips have magic powersB.the chips are very popular among the employeesC.the price of the chips is reasonableD.most people suspect the application of the chips4.Which of the following best describes Todd Westby’s attitude towards the chips?A.Defensive. B.Disappointing.C.Optimistic.D.Casual.BChina is a large producer and consumer of rice. But, as a result of climate change, the amount of land available for rice growing in the country is shrinking. The concern has motivated scientists led by Yuan Longping, known as “the father of hybrid rice”,to look for new ways of growing the grain. Now they’re celebrating successful efforts to grow rice — in sand and seawater. Rice is traditionally grown in soil and fresh water. Starting from January, according to the official Xinhua News Agency, the scientists have grown dozens of varieties of rice in the deserts of Dubai. They experimented with seawater because it is easier to obtain in the desert than fresh water.China is not the only country facing the issue of overly salty soil. Around the world, there are around 2.35 billion acres of highly saline (含盐的) land. And the number is increasing because of rising sea levels and climate change.“Probably only a small part of the world’s saline land could be brought into production with seawater rice, but that would still have a very important effect on food security,” Even R. Pay, a senior analyst, said.Yuan told Xinhua that one of the varieties of rice grown in Dubai produced over three tons per acre, which Yuan said was beyond expectations.Rice is the basic food in many parts of the world. About 90% of rice consumption is from Asia, but demand in Africa and Latin America is on the rise.A climate change researcher said the successful experiment could potentially benefit many countries. “This is a fantastic development, which is likely to have a good effect on agricultural resource and water-poor countries, particularly in North Africa region.”Even though the cost of growing salttolerant rice is still high, it will also have strategic value once it’s commercialized.5.What has caused the scientists to find new ways of growing rice?A.The increase of rice consumers.B.The high cost of rice producing.C.The land shortage of rice growing.D.The severe pollution of fresh water.6.Yuan’s team have successfully grown ri ce in sand and seawater in ________.A.China B.DubaiC.Latin America D.North Africa7.What can be inferred from the text?A.About 90% of the rice is demanded and consumed in China.B.The production of a new type of rice is larger than expected.C.The increase of saline land is mainly caused by climate change.D.Seawater is used in the experiment because it is cheaper to gain.8.What is the author’s attitude to the ricegrowing experiment?A.Doubtful. B.Positive.C.Critical. D.Disappointed.C"Keep your eyes open. This is where the Ewoks live.'' The one-hour drive outside of San Francisco, covered in clouds along windy roads, has inspired my husband to say this sentence at least a dozen times. We finally arrive at Muir Woods National Park. I explain the strange green stuff on trunks of trees as we pass by--mos (苔藓), something my 5-year-old son Cole has never seen in the desert where we live."Mom, are Ewoks real? I think they maybe aren't real. " There's a question in Cole's voice, like he's trying on this idea. We've been down the road of pretending versus reality before, what with all the talk of superheroes and such around our house. "I think you are right. Ewoks are just in the movies. But it would be cool if they were real, right ?"Cole's silent for a while, thinking. "I just saw an Ewok’s ear back there!" Coles spotted an additional Ewok arm and one full body of the tiny hairy creatures. It does indeed look like we are in the Ewok forest of Star Wars.Cole's imagination is more than I can understand. What do plants eat? Which is the best planet? Which rocks float? He loves life. He loves his inner world and outer existence equally.I hear a lot of worry from parents about media sucking the souls from our children, taking away their time for creative play. For us, this hasn’t been the case. Cole and his brother are quite knowledgeable in the realities of life when it comes to Angry Birds, Curious George, and the adventures of Indiana Jones. These characters, and others of their own invention, live in my home like visitors, joining us on walks and outings. I appreciate them, though not all the time, for the company they give my sons and their busy minds.I think of media characters as an add-on to already busy minds, by carefully monitoring who gets invited into our lives, they become part of the parenting team. They teach loyalty adventure, curiosity--lessons I'm trying to convey, but in a much cooler way than I can.Pretence is awesome. It provides practice for real life without the ordinary interfering.4. Where are the family heading for?A. The cinema.B. A park.C. San Francisco.D. A desert.5. What can we know about Cole from the passage?A. He is proud of himself.B. He is full of curiosity.C. He is courageous.D. He is considerate.6. What do many parents think of their children playing via media?A. It wastes children's time.B. It can make their children relaxed.C. It can engage their children in learning actively.D. It can accompany their children in their absence.7. What's the authors attitude to the media characters in parenting children?A Indifferent. B. Critical.C. Supportive.D. Disapproving.。

二、观点态度题(2019·北京,C)The problem of robocalls has gotten so bad that many people now refuse to pick up calls from numbers they don’t know.By next year, half of the calls we receive will be scams(欺诈).We are finally waking up to the severity of the problem by supporting and developing a group of tools, apps and approaches intended to prevent scammers from getting through.Unfortunately,it’s too little, too late.By the time these “solutions”(解决方案)become widely available, scammers will have moved onto cleverer means. In the near future,it’s not just going to be the number you see on your screen that will be in doubt.Soon you will also question whether the voice you’re hearing is actually real. That’s because there are a number of powerful voice manipulation(处理) and automation technologies that are about to become widely available for anyone to use.At this year’s I/O Conference,a company showed a new voice technology able to produce such a convincing human-sounding voice that it was able to speak to a receptionist and book a reservation without detection. These developments are likely to make our current problems with robocalls much worse. The reason that robocalls are a headache has less to do with amount than precision.A decade of data breaches(数据侵入) of personal information has led to a situation where scammers can easily learn your mother’s name, and far more.Armed with this knowledge, they’re able to carry out individually targeted campaigns to cheat people. This means, for example, that a scammer could call you from what looks to be a familiar number and talk to you using a voice that sounds exactly like your bank teller’s,tricking you into “confirming” your address, mother’s name, and card number.Scammers follow money,so companies will be the worst hit.A lot of business is still done over the phone, and much of it is based on trust and existing relationships.V oice manipulation technologies may weaken that gradually. We need to deal with the insecure nature of our telecom networks.Phone carriers and consumers need to work together to find ways of determining and communicating what is real. That might mean either developing a uniform way to mark videos and images, showing when and who they were made by,or abandoning phone calls altogether and moving towards data-based communications—using apps like FaceTime or WhatsApp,which can be tied to your identity.Credibility is hard to earn but easy to lose, and the problem is only going to get harder from语篇解读随着科技的发展,诈骗手段越来越多样,骚扰电话给人们带来了危害。

此类试题往往让考生推断文章作者或文中人物对某事所持的态度、观点或看法,或推断文中人物的语气、性格等。

设问形式常有:1.What’s the writer’s attitude towards...?2.What is the author’s opinion on...?3.What does the author think about...?二、解题技巧——“忠于措辞”定选项1.文章作者或文中人物对某事物所持的观点或态度往往隐含在文章的字里行间或流露于修饰词之中,注意文中作者或人物的措辞。

限时训练:A(2018·湖南衡阳第一次联考)Carrie Gracie is knowledgeable about China and its affairs. She also has a 1reputation as a generous colleague. She has resigned from her job as China editor because her employers will not pay her at the same rate as they pay the handful of men who do a similarly challenging and important job.She has resigned because she refused to go on colluding(共谋) with the BBC’s dishonesty about its failure to give women and men equal pay for equal work.Gracie was recruited to the job, because she had all the talent and skills the BBC needed to 10cover the difficult international and domestic story of the rise of China. One of the conditions she set for taking it was equal pay with the BBC’s other international editors, familiar names including Jon Sopel in Washington and Jeremy Bowen in the Middle East.Last summer, the government forced the BBC to publish which of the familiar names on radio and TV earned over £150,000.The results exposed an astonishing pay gap. They also showed Gracie that her employers had misled her.Gracie sets out all her efforts to get her bosses to do what they had 8originally promised her,but they fail to respond adequately.Instead, they prevaricate(搪塞) and offer her a pay rise that still would not have delivered equality. They thought they could buy her off. They thought that the reputational hazard she was running would scare her away from the fight. The BBC is wrong this time! Gracie has chosen to design rather than give in because she thinks that it is her responsibility to stop the BBC doing something stupid. She is fighting for women’s legal rights.Gracie said she hoped she wouldn’t be remembered as the woman who complained about money, but as a great journalist. She is proving that they are two sides of the same invaluable coin.Carrie Gracie’s 9dispute with the BBC isn’t about money—it’s about dignity!4.What is the author’s attitude towards the BBC?A.Positive. B.2Vague.C.3Critical. D.Cautious.B(2018·陕西渭南质检)A new study of 8,000 young people in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior shows that although love can make adults live healthily and happily,it is a bad thing for young people.Puppy love(早恋) may bring stress for young people and can lead to 4depression.The study shows that girls become more depressed than boys, and younger girls are the worst of all.The possible reason for the connection between love and higher risk of depression for girls is “loss of self”.According to the study, even though boys would say “lose themselves in a romantic relationship”,this “loss of self” is much more likely to lead to depression when it happens to girls.Young girls who have romantic relationships usually like hiding their feelings and opinions. They won’t tell that to their parents.Dr Marianm Kaufman,an expert on young people problems, says 15% to 20% young people will have depression during their growing.Trying romance often causes the depression. She advises kids not to jump into 5romance too early.During growing up,it is important for young people to build strong friendships and a strong sense of self. She also suggests the parents should encourage their kids to keep close to their friends, attend more interesting school activities and spend enough time with family.Parents should watch for signs of depression—eating or mood changes—and if they see signs from their daughters or sons, they need to give help. The good news is that the connection between romance and depression seems to become weak with age.Love will always make us feel young, but only 6maturity gives us a chance to avoid its bad side effects.8.What’s the author’s attitude towards puppy love?A.Confused.
