读写任务话题--中国式过马路
This passage states that many pedestrians run red lights in groups in China because they are not punished for breaking traffic rules, but it is reported that pedestrians will be fined in the future.
It is common to see many pedestrians running red lights, which is very dangerous and will bring some bad effects. First of all, the streets become more crowded with many pedestrians running red lights. Second, there might be more accidents in which people may get hurt or even be killed. Additionally, it damages the image of a civilized city.
So those who break traffic rules should be punished. Although being fined is an unhappy experience, it can help them to learn a lesson that everyone should obey traffic rules in the street.
In order to better solve this problem, I think pedestrians should be aware of the traffic rules and obey them consciously. Besides, local governments should build more pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, such as overhead and underground walkways.

读写任务自然灾害
The past several years have witnessed frequent natural disasters all over the world, which have killed millions upon millions of people, destroyed countless homes, and wiped out numerous pieces of land.
Why do these disasters happen more and more often during these years? Actually those disasters have a lot to do with what we have done to the earth. We have cut down too many trees in the forests, badly polluted the environment, and shocked our own home-planet. As a result, climates have become abnormal; rainwater rushes down hillsides angrily.
Happily, gradually people begin to realize that there is a close relationship between economic development and environmental protection. Without a harmonious environment, it would be difficult to develop our economy quickly. So it is not worthwhile to sacrifice our environment to develop economy. Therefore, in order to reduce the natural disasters, we should make people aware of the importance of environmental protection and attach great importance to the development of a harmonious society in our economic growth.

基础写作莫言醉
“Mo Yan Zui” is a liquor brand with the name of Chinese writer Mo Yan — winner of the Nobel Literature Prize, which was registered by an engineer in Beijing with only 1,000 yuan six years ago. Its name came from a famous Chinese ancient poem literally meaning in English, “Don‟t say that you are drunk.” It can also be translated as “drunken Mo Yan”. But before Mo won the Nobel, the name had nothing to do with him. After Mo became China‟s firs t Nobel laureate in literature, liquor companies, however, immediately bid for the brand name, which is another phenomenon of “Mo-mania” that has swept the country.

The writer describes his experience of confusing a phrase while communicating with a foreigner, from which he learns a lesson that we should try to express ourselves properly to avoid misunderstanding.
I have been in a similar embarrassing situation. It happened at the English Corner last semester when a foreign teacher worked in our school. He is easy-going and humorous, so no wonder we all like to chat with him. When I told him that we students needed a holiday, his fac e lit up at once. “So you and I both can have a good rest! Give me five!” he said. I couldn‟t understand why he asked me to “give him five” and just stared at him. Obviously he noticed my puzzled look on my face, realizing that I didn‟t understand him. The n he explained patiently to me, “…Give me five‟ means cheering.”
