1、rude adj. 无礼的
1)粗野的,粗鲁的,无礼的 反 义词:polite be rude to sb. 对某人粗暴无礼
be rude about sb./sth. 对(某人、某物)无礼 She was very rude about my driving. 她对我的开车方法横加指责。
• “Do you call that +(冠词)+名词”这个 结构可以表达一种轻蔑的含义:
• Do you call that a dog?
call 1) 命名 v.
call that+sth. 把那个叫做某物
call sb. +sb.’s name 管某人叫· · ·
They decided to call the baby Mark.
need
• 2.做实义动词时,其变化与一般的实 义动词相同,后接带to的不定式
• need to do… • don’t need to… • Do you need to …? • 我需要稍微休息下。(一般过去时) • I needed to take a short rest. • I needed a short rest.
• needn’t do 不必做… • You needn’t come.
need
• 1.做情态动词时,仅用于否定句和疑问句,
• 疑问式用need+人称+do? • 否定式用need not (needn't),如: • —Need we leave soon? • —Yes, you must. • —No, you needn't

remark & observe & notice
• 1) remark与observe都可以表示 “说,评论说”,它们比say要正式
• ‘You look good in this suit!’ She remarked /observed.
• 2) notice和observe都可以表示“注意到, 察觉到”,但有一定区别。
• A man can never have too many ties.
• can never…too…=cannot…too… 无论……也不为过
• 再多的领带对一个男人来说也不为过。
can never…too…=cannot…too…
• I can never thank you too much. 感激不尽。
• Drinking water can never be too clean. 饮用水越干净越好。
• A wife cawenku.baidu.com never complain too much. 妻子怎么罗嗦也不为过。
• You can’t be too careful in doing your work. 你工作越小心越好。
• notice指无意中“察觉到” • Did you notice her ring? • Did you notice how she was dressed? • I didn’t notice his leaving.
• 3) observe则可以指有意观察、仔细地看, 比notice更正式
