Mother Teresa Mother Teresa was born in
Skopje(斯科普里) in August 27th,1901. Her family was not rich, but it was a happy family. She went to school when she was seven years old. She said that she had wanted to be a Missionary（传教士） when she was only 12. She took park in a nun （修女）organization when she was 18 years old. In 1928, she was sent to a church school to teach. But she left the school and went out to help the people who suffered from hungerand cold in 1946.
She got the Noble Peace Price in 1979. But she donated all of the money to the poor people and the patients who suffered from the disease. Also she sold the medal to help the people who needed help.

In October 10th, seventy-seven year-old Jack Kilby (Jack S. Kilby) received this year's Nobel Prize in physics. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar in Gujarat. In 1914, the South African government conceded to many of Gandhi‘s demands. Gandhi returned to India shortly afterwards. In 1919, British plans to intern（实习生） people suspected of sedition （暴动）- the Rowlatt Acts （罗拉特法）- prompted Gandhi to announce a new satyagraha （非暴力的消极抵抗和不合作主 义)which attracted millions of followers. A demonstration against the acts resulted in the Amritsar Massacre （阿姆 利则血案）by British troops（部队）. By 1920, Gandhi was a dominant figure in Indian politics. In 1922, Gandhi himself was sentenced （判决；审判）to six years’ imprisonment（监禁；关押）. n 1930, Gandhi proclaimed （宣 布）a new campaign of civil disobedience （不服输；违反） in protest at a tax on salt, leading thousands on a ‘March to the Sea’ to symbolically make their own salt from seawater. On 30 January 1948, a Hindu fanatic assassinated him in Delhi（德里）.

He was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. He became a civil rights activist early in his career. He was one of the most important leaders that struggled for equality of black people with white people. Like Mahatma Gaddin (甘地) in India, he thought they should achieve the goal in non-violent ways.
