Have you ever wanted to stop eating something sweet but you just couldn’t? Is the first thing you do when you get home from school to look in the biscuit tin? Can you eat a huge bar of chocolate all by yourself? Can you say “no” to sweets at parties? If you can’t, then there is a reason…
Perhaps you are a sugar addict! Does that sound funny? Well, doctors say that people who eat sweets regularly can easily become addicted(成瘾的)to sugar. What’s more, most sugar addicts don’t even realize that they are addicted! Sugar addiction is serious because it’s really bad for your health. Doctors say that we should eat food which is healthy such as fresh fruits and vegetables, and that we shouldn’t eat a lot of sugar, fat or fast food. But sugar addicts can’t follow this advice. They know they must stop eating sweet food, but they can’t.
So what can you do if you think you are addicted to the taste of sugar? Well here is some advice:
Eat some fresh fruits when you really want something sweet to eat.
Cut down on sweet food slowly. Don’t try to stop eating it at once.
You have to tell your parents. If they know, they will help you.
( )31. Little kids can become addicted to sugar easily.
( )32 Sugar is really bad for our health.
( )33. We must try to stop eating sweet food at once.
( )34. Parents may help you give up bad eating habits.
( )35. This passage tells us something about sugar addiction and how to give it up.

If you get into the forest with your friends, stay with them always. If you don’t, you may get lost. If you really get lost, this is what you should do. Sit down and stay where you are. Don’t try to find your friends—let them find you by staying in one place.
There is another way to help your friends or other nearby people to find you. Give them a signal (信号) by shouting or whistling (吹口哨) three times. Any signal given three times is a call for help.
Keep up shouting or whistling always three times together. When people hear you, they will know that you are not just making noise for fun. They will let you know that they have heard your signal. They give you two shouts, two whistles, or two gun-shots (枪声). When someone gives you a signal, it is an answer to a call for help.

If you don’t think that you will get help before night comes, try to make a little house---cover up to the holes with branches (树枝) with lots of leaves. Make yourself a soft bed with leaves and grass.
What should you do if you get hungry or need drinking water? You would have to leave your little house to look for a river. Don’t just walk away. Pick off small branches and drop them as you walk so that you can find your way back. The most important thing to do when you are lost is—stay in one place.
36.If you lost in the forest, you should _______.

The next time you are tired of running a mile or two at school, be sure to think of 93—year—old Harriet Thompson. she not only finished the San Diego Rock.‘N’Roll marathon on May 31st, 2014, but also broke the SDRNR
marathon's record. She was the oldest runner in this marathon as well as the fastest in the 90-to-94 -year-old group.
she finished the 26. 2-mile race in 7: 7: 42, breaking the earlier record of 8: 53:08 set by Mavis Lindgren in 1997. While this is her first record, Harriet, who ran at the speed of 16 minutes and 20 seconds a mile, is no stranger to this competition. She has taken part in 16 of the last 17 marathons and only missed one in 2013, when she was receiving treatment because she had a cancer(癌症), which she successfully beat.
What's even more amazing is that the grandmother ran the marathon alongside her 55-year-old son Brenny. She began to take up the sport in 1999 at the age of 76! Harriet says that she normally trains with a group. However, this
year she decided to run alone because she had a hard time keeping up,as most of them are about 60-70 years younger.
Harriet says she runs to keep healthy and raise money for the Leukemia&Lymphoma 4。
