However, a few weeks ago, my parents surprised me with tickets to Chimelong Wildlife Park in Guangzhou. I had been wanting to go for ages after seeing photos of the incredible animals and thrilling rides. Finally, the day had come for me to experience it myself!We left early in the morning as the park opens at 9:30am. The drive there took around an hour and a half. I could barely contain my excitement as the colossal parking lot came into view, filled with cars and buses. After finding a spot, we made our way to the entrance gates. The park is absolutely massive, with different themed areas and attractions spread out across the vast 2 square kilometer grounds.The first area we explored was called Forest Awakens. It's designed to look like a dense rainforest, with towering artificial trees and vines covering every surface. The star attraction here is the Panda House, where over 20 giant pandas lazily munch on bamboo while occasionally batting around in the pools. These bears are SO cute and calm - I could have watched them all day. We also saw some smaller red pandas scurrying around their enclosure.Next up was my personal favorite - the Species Aredden area. This zone is modeled after the harsh environment of the Australian Outback. Rocky, rust-colored landscapes and twisted dead trees set the scene. We took an off-road truck tour that brought us up close to exotic animals like kangaroos, emus, and even a saltwater crocodile! The driver supplied interesting facts about each creature as we stopped to observe them. At one point, a few pugnacious kangaroos approached and started thumping on the truck. Safe to say they weren't happy we were in their territory!As the day warmed up and the sun was high in the sky, it was time to cool off at Shipwrecked Marineland. This part of the park is entirely indoors with a controlled climate. It's designed to look like the set of a Hollywood pirate movie, with galleons, sunkentreasures, and a gigantic wave pool in the center. We walked through an underwater tunnel surrounded by sharks, rays, and a kaleidoscope of tropical fish. I even got to feed a couple of small sharks - they have surprisingly rough skin! My favorite was the immense Ten Indomitable Coasters. This beast of a ride features not one, but TEN different coaster tracks all intertwined in a vibrant neon gamboge and azure color scheme. My stomach was in knots just looking at the dizzying corkscrews and inversions. I almost chickened out, but my pride took over as I didn't want to seem lame in front of my parents. The coaster was utterly terrifying but exhilarating at the same time - a true adrenaline rush! I think I may have blacked out for a few seconds from the G-forces.As evening settled in, we stuck around to witness the breathtaking Stranded Marine Party. This is a dazzling nighttime parade filled with elaborately costumed performers, vibrant floats, lasers, and fire effects. The route weaves all through the Shipwrecked Marineland area, so you get a full panoramic viewof the colorful festivities. Pirates, mermaids, and mystical sea creatures danced to upbeat music while pyrotechnics went off overhead. 难忘的一天
I still remember the first day I went to the zoo. When I was only five years old, my mother took me there. I was pleased to see so many real animals at the same time. They seemed so lovely and active. I spent a nice day. But on my way home, I began to feel sorry for them. They were taken away from their parents and friends and also far away from the nature. They must have felt lonely, I thought. Every day, the only thing they could do was to sit there and wait for food.
