Thank you for your email to inform me of my application status regularly, I have just emailed my two references and asked them to complete those two recommendation letters. Since they were so busy with their research work and business that had no time to check their inbox often.

I have send my TOEFL and GRE score through ETS several days ago, maybe it still need some days to arrive at your admission office, so whether a scanned copy of my language score is needed to send to you through email in advance ?

Honestly, Columbia University, which is a dream I have been cherishing since my first year in Fudan University. During my four years undergraduate study, I have been preparing myself in variety areas to improve my research and academic ability, in order to achieve my long-term goal, that is, further my study in Columbia University.

I am pretty hope that I can be admitted to Columbia University and further my study with you senior graduate supervisor. I will complete all those required materials that needed in reviewing my application as soon as possible.

2，我们的材料提交的比较晚，被录的可能性还大么，会不会被admission officer看到的几率比早提交的要小了？

Thank you for your email to inform me of my application status regularly. I am pretty sorry that my application status kept incomplete for so long time since my recommendation letter and language scores such as TOEFL and GRE couldn’t be submitted in time.

I wrote emails to my recommenders after receiving your email and checking my application status, to tell them about my request and help me complete the final step of application.

Honestly, one of my recommenders, Rongmin Li who was my Mathematics teacher in my junior year has been contributed himself in mathematics research and had little time to check his inbox regularly. The other recommender, Weizheng Xiong who was my internship supervisor as well as the Chairman of the Board, has been busy with his business and meetings.

Today, I heard from my recommenders that they have finished my recommendations online followed the links that you provided, which really great news for me since I have been worried about my application.

Besides, my transcript from Fudan University has been sent to WES for credential, I think you may receive it in recent days since I paid additional fees for urgent.

I hope my application can be reviewed if all of my application documents completed. If there is other that I should do and provide, please feel free to contact me.

It really doesn't matter of this since I know that you and your partners are so busy with admission reviewing. I was worried at the beginning when I checking my status, but I can calm down and wait for news from you now if you received my documents.

Regarding Feng’s weaknesses, I will say that in some of his papers for me he tended to try to “explain the world.” He chose a subject that was too complex to handle in one thesis and then tried to force a new approach onto the whole of it, biting off much more than he could chew. I brought this up with him in my comments on his papers, and he seems to be making a better effort at limiting his focus and analyzing his subject fully.
