"点石成金"的典故大家都知道，那个穷书生很明智地要点石成金的方法。
因为掌握了这种方法一辈子受用，它启示我们要重视掌握方法，要学会靠自己去学习。
好的学习方法很多层面上来讲是好的英语学习习惯，培养一种英语素养，希望你们能把学习英语作为一种习惯来对待，就像我们生活中必不可少的吃饭穿衣一样，成为每天必须要做的一件事情，而且做的那么自然，如果能做到自然而然地每天去学英语，让英语学习成为你的习惯，那你肯定能成功，不是有话说行为养成习惯，习惯形成性格，性格决定命运!现在大家都才初中，还有几年参加中考，或者高考，英语考试的重要性不言而喻。
你要相信时间的力量，时间积累够了，你一定会取得进步。
我记得我初中上英语课的时候，每一次老师教我们单词，我总会认认真真的看着老师的嘴巴，看她如何发音，可好奇了，有的时候并不会，就在课本上用汉语注释，在座的有谁也这样干过?嘿嘿，虽然大多数同学都这样做过，但我不提倡这样做，我还是建议把音标学会，然后自己学习发音。
我看到下面那个同学在抱怨说我把单词和课文都背了啊，但是还是没考好啊。
我想告诉大家，背单词和背课文是学习英语必须要做的，虽然考试不直接考单词但是我们必须要做，要不然我们就没有学习英语的力量。
就像吃饭一样，没有人拿你吃了多少饭来衡量你活得是否精彩，但我们必须吃饭，它是保证我们活着的基本物质。
英语也是一样，所以一个学生背单词和课文是义不容辞的，任何学英语的人第一步都要这样做，这是一种积累。
那么，如果你只要求你自己做最基本的事情那英语肯定不会好到哪里去，因为被单词和背课文只是一种酝酿，学英语要做的事情远远超过这些，例如，需要在交际中、在写作中、在阅读中练习运用语言，脱离这些就好比我们盖房子需要石头一样，我们永远都是在捡石头，捡得再多不拿去盖楼，永远见不到成果，自然也就没有成就感。

现在既然大家坐在这里，说明大家还是对大学阶段的英语学习有一定规划的，至少是有一些想法要提高自己的英语水平吧。
我去年这个时候，基本上什么都不知道，对英语怎么继续学习也比较茫然，不知道你们现在有没有这个感觉。
我是分在五班，班里的同学一般英语都很强。
基础英语课还行，视听说说课曾让我郁闷了很长时间，几乎每次上听说就很紧张。
因为我们高中课上比较沉默，不爱发言，正好跟听老师说课，然后我们就奋笔疾书。
我的口语发音还行，就是感觉英式思维不是很敏捷，总担心对话时答不上来，脑子一片空白怎么办。
班上很多同学课上表现非常积极，有时给我压力很大。
但是，压力归根结底还是要化为动力嘛，大家还是要强迫自己积极举手，不要怕在课堂上因为说错而丢脸，在学习面前是不需要面子一言的，更何况英语关系我们的前途啊，一定要在课上多说英语，并且不懂要不耻下问，这是最关键的。
口语方面只有多联系对话才会提高。
当自己跟着老师说或者与同学用英语对话时间久了以后就会自然而然产生语感，这对你的基础英语提升也是有很大帮助的。
还有说道口语还有一点，现在我们的新标准英语是配了MP3格式音频文件，英语发音非常纯正，因为口语跟写完全不同，我们需要跟着正确的读音进行复制，而新标准英语的这套MP3材料给我们提供了一个很好的平台，我们一定要每天跟着标准语音进行朗读，像我就会在背课文前先听1遍背诵段落之后熟悉了，再试着跟着MP3进行复制其语音的朗读，可能一开始跟不上他的口语速度，毕竟我们是中国人，发音与他们不同，所以我们可以在某些他读重音或者停顿或者是快速连读的地方做一些标记，再进行跟读，这样，多跟读几遍就会有显著效果，虽然不能完全模仿，但是你会明显体会到自己的口音开始改变，像标准的口语靠拢了。
俗话说，冰冻三尺非一日之寒，英语就很好的的印证了这句古话，只要我们勤加练习，一个学期应该就会有很大提高，政治上我们也说只有量的积累才有质的飞跃嘛!再说背课文，之前我们多次跟读对我们背课文也有很大帮助。
当我们朗诵完5~6遍文章之后，我们对课文内容已经能比较熟悉了，此时我们取下耳机，进行一段一段地慢读，顾名思义，就是慢速阅读，因为之前口语速度过快，所以我们无法记住文章细节，因此我们需要慢读，放慢一些阅读速度，让我们大脑有充分记忆文章细节的反应并且记忆的时间，注意一定要是一段一段的慢读和背诵背诵，这样能记忆牢固，不易忘。
我这些大概就是我的英语学习情况了。
最后我再提一些对英语学习的建议：第二，单词的积累。
这是学习任何一门语言都是要做的基本功。
因为英语单词的数量之多，掌握一定的方法和技巧来记单词是十分必要的。
第一，要有一本够用的词典。
词典是最好的老师。
这里说的词典不是电子词典。
了词典还要学会用词典和养成查词典的习惯。
第六，注重口语和听力练习，养成背诵和广泛阅读的习惯。
口语和听力是我们学习弱项。
要解决它们，首先是要重视口语课和听力课;其次是在课后进行大量的口语和听力练习。
第四，预习和复习。
学习好外语预习和复习一个都不能少。
