Public transportation plays a crucial role in our daily lives. It includes various modes of transportation such as subways, buses, and trains, which provide convenience for our travel.Firstly, public transportation is environmentally friendly. Compared to private cars, public transportation can carry multiple passengers at the same time, reducing the number of vehicles on the road and decreasing emissions, which has a positive impact on improving air quality.Secondly, public transportation helps alleviate traffic congestion. As the number of private cars increases in cities, it leads to traffic congestion. However, public transportation reduces the reliance on private cars, easing traffic pressure and improving overall transportation efficiency.Furthermore, public transportation helps save economic costs. The expenses associated with owning a private car, including purchasing, maintenance, and fuel, are high. On the other hand, public transportation fares are relatively lower, making it more economically affordable, especially for those with limited financialresources.Lastly, public transportation contributes to social interaction. While using public transportation, we have the opportunity to communicate and interact with other passengers, expanding our social circle and enhancing interpersonal relationships. In conclusion, public transportation plays a vital role in promoting urban development, protecting the environment, conserving resources, and fostering social interaction. Therefore, we should actively support and utilize public transportation to contribute to the construction of a more convenient and sustainable city.。

Take the one-way street.

2. You will stay on the street for a while until you hit the first traffic light。

Stay for a while 遇见某样东西,可以用 hit 这个字,如 hit the traffic light, hit the stop sign 等等.

3. Then take a left.

向左转可以说成 turn left, take a left 或是 Make a left. Take a left into Hemphill Ave. 或是 Take a left onto Hemphill Ave。

4. It will be Hemphill Ave. It’s two-lane traffic.

5. Come down Hemphill Ave about five blocks.

Traffic and transportation
With the development of local economy, more and more people have their private cars. Instead of taking buses to their companies, they prefer to go to work by cars. What is more, some families even have more than two cars. For some people, they have to buy a car because their apartments are far from their companies. For some people, they don’t like to take buses, beacause they think the buses are too crowded and dirty. Therefore, more cars are running on the roads.
We know that, the modern transportation has provide a great convenience
for us people, but it also causes a lot of problem.
Traffic jam is the big problem nowadays. In the modern society the traffic jam has become more and more serious ,which has aroused wide public concern ,especially in the rush-hour traffic ,at some time or other ,people would rather walk on the street than drive the car ,and the people waiting for
the bus can be as long as 10 meters .It is rather boring for us, because of the traffic jam, many people will be late to work, date or flight.
But how to solve it? As far as I’m concerned , for one thing ,the government should build more roads to meet the needs of cars, for another ,we should call for people to take a bus instead of driving their own cars ,at times , we can also ride bikes to go to work or visit somewhere ,not only do we strengthen ourselves, but also we protect the environment .in a word , if all of us take actions to solve it ,I believe there will not be a word named traffic jam.
Traffic accident is another big problem for us. Many people died or got bad injury from it. The traffic accident is called“The first killer”because of its harmful influence. We should avoid this as far as we can. Last Sunday, an old lady aged about seventy was badly hurt in a traffic accident before the building east six. It was 9:30 a.m. and there were many cars in the street at that time. The
old lady was crossing the street when a young man riding a bicycle rushed up and knocked her down. She got big hurt and can stand up by herself a long time. It is terrible! From what I see, the car accidents mostly just because of driving carelessly .For the people drive some car, they must obey the traffic rules, especially the rule that don’t drink alcohol before drive a car. For us walkers, we should watch the road very carefully.。
