High quality audio signals passing from the amplifier to the loudspeaker are unusual in their demands on the cable. Wide dynamic range and frequency bandwidth information has to coexist with the ability to transmit peak currents of at least 10 Amps, without incurring any loss or signal impairment. This explains why the sound quality of the information reproduced by the loudspeakers is so dependant on the physical properties of the cables connecting them to the amplifier.Technically, we recommend two-core cable with cross section area not less than 1.5mm 2 (14 gauge) for cable runs of up to 3 metres. For longer lengths we would suggest that you use cable with a minimum cross sectional area of 2.5mm 2 (12 gauge).Keep the speaker cable leads as short as possible. Do not use shielded leads, such as microphone or guitar cable. Remember that the speaker cable robs the power of the amplifiers in two ways: by increasing the load impedance and by introducing resistive power losses.iwSA 5005.0 INSTALLATION The amplifier is two rack units high (2U) and will fit into a standard EIA 19” rack. Amplifiers should not be stacked directly on top of each other,we recommend a space at least 3” for the top and sides with 5” on the back . When shelf mounted the height of the supplied feet is adequate.5.1 MountingWARNING!A label just above the mains cable connector on the rear of the amplifier indicates the AC mains voltage for which the amplifier is wired. Connect the power cable only to the AC source referred to on the label. The warranty will not cover damage caused by connecting to the wrong type of AC mains.5.2 Operating Voltage6.0 CONNECTIONS From an unbalanced source the hot (+) center conductor connects to the center pin of the RCA connector. The (-) shield connects to the chassis of the RCA connector.From a balanced source the hot (+) conductor connects to the center pin of the RCA connector. The cold (-) and the shield connect to the chassis of the RCA connector.6.1 Input ConnectionsSpeaker connections are made via 4 gold plated binding posts. When connecting 1 subwoofer to the amplifier the (+) wire connects to the RED (+) binding post of output #1. The (-) wire connects to the BLACK (-) binding post of output #2.When connecting 2 Tannoy subwoofers one will connect to output #1. Negative (-) wire to BLACK binding post and positive (+) wire to RED binding post. The second will connect to output #2. Negative (-) wire to BLACK binding post and positive (+) wire to RED binding post.Never connect either output terminal to ground or to some other output or input terminal. Pay attention to speaker polarity; loudspeakers connected out of polarity degrade sound quality, and may be damaged as a consequence.6.2 Connecting The Speaker7.0 OPERATION• Make sure that the power switch is set to “off” before connecting any input or output, or operating the switch on the rear panel.• Make sure that the AC mains voltage is correct, and the same as the one printed on the rear panel of the amplifier.• Make sure that the switch on the rear panel for limiter function is in the correct position.7.1 Operation PrecautionsTANNOY iwSA 5008.0 PROTECTION FEATURES8.1 Limiter FunctionThe limiter function is included to prevent dangerous clipped signals reaching the speaker and damaging it. If an amplifier is severely overdriven, its output waveform is clipped (its peaks are squared off) - reducing the crest factor. In extreme cases the waveform can approach that of a square wave. When the protection mode is in operation, the LED indicator on the front panel will be illuminated , indicating the amplifier has gone into a self-preservation mode.If you observe that the protection LED is lit, please check the system carefully to determine what has caused the protection circuit to engage. The amplifier can be reset by turning the remote power off and then on again. If the amplifier shuts down due to a thermal overload condition, please allow it to cool down before powering up. If the amplifier shuts down because of an input overload or short circuit, be sure to repair these conditions before attempting to power up the amplifier again.Electrical WiringAll RUBICON Amplifiers are equipped with easy top access screw terminals .These terminals are nickel-plated in order to ensure excellent electrical contactand to resist corrosion.When making electrical connections to the amplifier, please observe the following :Use at least 4 gauge or heavier wire for power and ground connections.Wire the amplifier directly to the car battery. Make sure there is circuit protection(Such as a fuse) on the positive power lead, within 18 inches of the battery.For the ground connection, use the shortest possible wire to a good chassis ground point.Wire the Remote connection to the remote turn-on lead of your equalizer or head unit. In some cases this may be the power antenna lead of the head unit.Remote Subwoofer Level ControlThe RUBICON Amplifiers are equipped with a dashboard mount remote subwoofer level control. Run the supplied dashboard remote control from thefront panel of your amplifier. By turning the level knob clockwise, you will increase the output of low frequencies.FusesFuses protect both the amplifier and the electrical system of your vehicle from faulty conditions . If you must replace the fuse in your RUBICON Amplifier, use a fuse of exactly the same type and rating. A different type or rating may resuit in damage or cause a fire.Mounting the AmplifierMark the location for the mounting screw holes by positioning the amplifier where you wish to install it and use a scribe (or one of the mounting screws) inserted in each mounting hole to mark the mounting surface. If the mounting surface is carpeted, measure the hole centers and mark with a felt tip pen.Drill pilot holes in the mounting surface for the mounting screws and insert the mounting screws into these holes. 一台奇声AV2400功放，R右声道放音声音很弱；左右声道平衡旋钮不起作用；C中置音箱无声；L左声道有时声音忽大忽小。

R右声道声小：该机整机结构见图1。

分别从R、L声道的各个输人端注入信号，通过对比检测发现R声道三级管Q1（编号为笔者所加）的b－c与L正常声道对应放大管信号明显不同，将其换新后R声道声音恢复正常。

C声道中置音箱全无声：用指针式万用表R×1挡两表笔触及音箱连接信号端有噪声，再按图3保护电路检查该路输出的控制环节，检查Jl等保护电路无异常。

进一步检查功放部分，采用人体感应信号的方法，用金属小改锥分别触及各级放大管的基极，当检查到0CL功放末级时突然发出“啪啪”的一声响，C音箱声音恢复正常。

怀疑电路中有虚焊。

因功放末级功耗大，特别是大功放管附近受热较大的元件焊点，因热胀冷缩易产生裂缝。

随即将功放末级部分可疑元件的焊点重新补焊一遍，再输入信号试放，轻轻敲击有关部位，没有发现断音现象，证实虚焊故障彻底排除。

L声道忽大忽小断音：明显是音量电位器内部接触电阻所引起的故障。

因该总音量控制电位器是六路信号同时控制多联组合在—起的，因无同型号规格的电位器更换，没法修复。

使用注射器吸人无水酒精。

从电位器外部孔缝。

功放机按键说明书篇一：音响操作说明音响操作说明针对于本系统，具体操作如下： 1. 话筒及音乐输入连接：调音台可以接入有线话筒、无线话筒、DVD、电脑音频等；有可种可以接入的插口，方便进行连接（如下图所示）。

第1路到第8路一般接入话筒，第13到16路为DVD等音乐信号输入；第9路到第12路比较特殊，即可以接入话筒，也可以接入DVD等音乐信号（已经标明L、R声道），只是接口不一样而已。

注：1、如果上面的卡侬口已经接入设备，就不要再用下面的单插插口，也就是说，这一路里面只可以接入一路音源；下面的INSERT插口，本系统用不到。

2、如果要接入普通的会议话筒，可能需要48V供电，那么本调音台具备此功能，只需要把调音台的48V供电开关打开即可，如下图所示；2. 开启系统：先打开第一台电源时序器，电源时序器会依次给所接设备供电；等第一台电源时序器的8路电源依次打开完毕，再打开第二台电源时序器，同样，等8路电源全部打开方可进行其他操作。

注：专业音响设备具有开关顺序，开启时顺序为：音源设备（如DVD、话筒接收机等）、周边设备（如调音台、均衡器、效果器等）、功放。

否则的话，可能会产生“嘭”的声响，以至于损坏设备。

3. 播放音频、视频：首先把调音台右下角总音量的推子调整到合适的位置（如图一所示），高度最好不要超过0刻度；然后打开DVD 机，把光盘放入，让DVD处于读碟播放状态；找到调音台对应DVD接入的那一路，把方块透明的开关按钮按下，使其处于点亮状态，再按下下方的红色ST按钮；然后轻轻从下方往上推长方形的音量推子，直到音量足够为止（如图二所示）。

高中低音调整：正常情况下，无需调整音乐音频，因为DVD或电脑放出来的都是原始音频，如果想调整音乐的高中低音，可以通过调音台自带的简单均衡器进行调整（如图三所示），上面的为高音旋钮，中间的为中高频旋钮，下面的为低音旋钮。

音视频矩阵切换：如把第1路音频、视频切换到第2路输出，那么操作方法是：按AV键然后从右侧上边的一排（输入键）按下1键，然后再从下面一排（输出键）按下2键，最后再按下ENTER 键即可。

一般来说，音响功放分为两种。

定压功放和定阻功放。

他们的区别就是定压功放内置了变压器，会把输出信号的电压升高到100-200V 传输，这样可以减少因为线路的阻抗导致的信号损失。

因为经过变压器某种程度上会造成音质损失，一般主要用于广播系统。

这种功放使用的喇叭必须内置降压用的变压器。

而随意将这种功放连接到没有变压器的喇叭中可能导致喇叭和功放的损坏。

这种功放在接线的时候必须断电，且必须有可靠的接地。

区别这种功放的方法有2种。

第一种是读说明书，第二种，就是这种功放的喇叭链接接口一般都是这种螺丝头且接口处有小心触电的警示标志。

有些功放同时带有定压和定阻功能，但是要选择正确的接口，且不应该同时使用。

在舞台上使用的功放并不是定压功放而是定阻功放。

这种功放一般配备接线柱接口或者speak接口。

为方便检修，把电源变压器次级引线加长，将功放电路板移到机外。

输人信号后，找一只电视机用的16Ω/3W扬声器，串联一只100μF/16V电容，一端接地，另一端接输出中点。

脱开2R18、2R19一端，并在2R17、2R16的焊盘上并联一只2.2Ω电阻，通电试机，
虽扬声器发出的声音较小，但音质好且不失真，这说明故障在2Q11、2Q12、2R18、2R19这几只元件中。

最后查出2R19一端引线严重氧化，与焊盘间已断路。

刮净引脚并重新焊上，去掉2.2Ω电阻试机，音量恢复正常，故障排除。
