Hippos have super strong jaws and can open their mouths almost 180 degrees! They may look silly and lazy, but you definitely wouldn't want to get too close. Hippos are known to be one of the most aggressive animals in Africa.I loved watching the playful sea lions too. They would take turns slapping their fins on the water to make a big splash, or flop out onto the rocks to sun themselves. Sometimes they would howl and bark really loudly like a bunch of dogs all barking at once! My brother really wanted to see the polar bears first, but I convinced my parents to start with the lion exhibit because that's my favorite animal.When we got to the lion area, we could hear the loud roars echoing through the air.
