As soon as you walk through the main gates, you'll see a big, two-story building right in front of you. That's the Administration Building, where the principal's office is, along with the offices for thevice-principals, secretaries, and other important staff members. They take care of all the paperwork and make sure everything runs smoothly at our school.Just to the right of the Administration Building, there's a smaller, one-story building with lots of windows. That's theLibrary, one of my favorite places on campus! It's full of books on every topic you can imagine, from dinosaurs to outer space. There are also comfy beanbags and couches where you can curl up and read. The librarian, Mrs. Johnson, is really nice and always happy to help you find the perfect book.Now, if we walk a little further down the main path, we'll come to the biggest building on campus: the Elementary School Building. This is where all the classrooms for grades K-5 are located. It's a huge, three-story building, with classrooms lining the hallways on each floor. My classroom is on the second floor, right in the middle of the building. We spend most of our day here, learning about math, science, reading, and all the other subjects.Just behind the Elementary School Building, there's a large, grassy field. That's the Playground, where we have recess every day. There are swings, slides, monkey bars, and plenty of room to run around and play games like tag or kickball. The cafeteria is a pretty standard elementary school cafeteria from what I can tell. It's just one big loud room with tons of tables that get super crowded at lunchtime. Thank goodness for my mom packing me an amazing lunch every day so I can avoid those crazy lines!Right next door to the cafeteria is the auditorium building where we have all our big performances and assemblies. It has a huge stage and what feels like a million seats. I performed in my first play there last year as a rabbit in our school's production ofAlice in Wonderland.
