17. My best friend----Mike, is a 10 year old boy. He likes to watch birds. When the birds swirl in the sky, it’s like a bird show.

In his garden , there is a tall tree. Last week, Mike played in the garden. Suddenly, from the tall tree,he heard a weak chirp. He turned toward the sound and climbed up the tree carefully. He parted the leaves and found a little bird in the nest. It was hurt. It didn’t stir a bit.

He found a box, and used a piece of old shirt to make a bed. Then he put the bird in t he bed and ran to Doctor Fern’s office. She is a scientist and an animal doctor. She checked the bird. She saw a cut under its wing. She rubbed medicine on the cut to kill germs.

Yesterday I heard good news. The little bird is fine! In the spring, it will be with the other terns when they return.

I love animals, too. And I want to be a zooman.

16. George has caught a cold. Yesterday, he played in the rains without wearing his rain hat. George’s Dad, Mr Smith called doctor Brown. George didn’t want to be taken to hospital and given medicine. So,Doctor Brown told him to go to bed and have some

nice warm milk.

"George, you have to stay in bed until you are better. ”

“Why?”

“Because you have to keep warm .”

George didn’t want to stay in bed.

“Let’s read a good story to help you to sleep.”

“Ok”

Daddy is reading George a bedtime story.

“And so the prince, the princess, and the frog all lived happily ever after. The end! ”

But George is not sleepy.

“George, you are a naughty boy! Go back to sleep.”

“Oh, Dad, I feel very lonely, I’m afraid.”

"Oh, poor little George ! Let teddy bear accompany you to sleep. Please drink a glass of milk.”

The warm milk makes George feel very very sleepy. George is asleep with teddy bear.

“Night-night , my little son. Sweat dreams .”

19. It was a sunny weekend day in autumn.The sun was shining brightly, and white clouds were floating in the blue sky. The animals in the forest visited an apple orchard. They drove to the orchard and then began to walk along the path in the orchard.

It was the season of harvest, and they saw ripe apples hanging on the branches. Elephant Brown could not help shouting, “What a lovely view!” They picked a lot of apples. It was very exciting to pick it themselves.

At the sunset, they went home happily with many apples. They enjoyed the pleasure of harvest in the beautiful orchard.

On the way home, they were talking、singing、laughing on the school bus.
