Lesson 21_The fable of the woodcutter一、语篇研读What:本课语篇是一篇寓言故事。

主要讲述的是一个樵夫在湖边砍柴时,不小心把斧头掉进了水里,正当他哭泣时,一个精灵出现,并帮他找到了金斧头和银斧头,但樵夫只要了自己的铁斧头,最后精灵因为樵夫的诚实把两把斧头作为礼物送给了他。

Why:21课为我们开启了故事篇,学生在学习这则故事时,意识到诚实的重要性,帮助塑造孩子诚实的良好品质。

童话故事的文化和思想内涵有助于学生在英语阅读中产生思维碰撞,理解文化内涵,深化对善与美的认知,有助于学生核心素养的培养。

How:本课的语篇关于樵夫和精灵的寓言故事。

体现了故事情节完整、曲折、语言夸张、形象鲜明、线索连贯、写作手法极具想象力等独特的语篇特征。

对话可以分为三个部分:第一部分介绍故事的开始,樵夫不小心把斧头掉进水里、大哭;第二部分故事的发展,精灵出现了,并分别给樵夫金斧头、银斧头和铁斧头,但樵夫只要自己的铁斧头;第三部分是故事的结尾,精灵对于樵夫的诚实非常满意,把两把斧头作为礼物送给了他。

明确故事发生的时间、地点、人物的句子:“Long ago, there was a good and honest woodcutter.”故事起因、经过、结果的句子:“One day, when he was cutting wood beside a lake, he lost his axe in the water.”“The spirit dove into the lake and brought back a gold axe.”“The spirit was so happy with the woodcutter's honesty that she gave him the other two axes as presents.”等。

Step3.Listen and choose true or false .

Step4Read and answer the following questions:
