Participle Clauses □ Participle Clauses are not only used like
adjectives, to give more information about nouns. They can also be used to say more about the action of the verb, or about the idea expressed by the sentence as a whole. Used like this, they are similar to adverb clause.
eg. I studied very hard last semester. My final grades range from A+ to B+ .
上学期我很用功,期末成绩都在A+到B+范 围内。

eg. Having a wide range of interest, Thomas Jefferson had a large collection of books, of which the subjects range from philosophy, religion, laws, to history and astronomy. His family donated them all to the Congress Library of the United States after his death.
