On the south of Volin region in the thick forests lake Svityaz has been lost. Svityaz is in land reservoir, water never disappears from it, no river falls into it.

There many legends about its dimensions especially depth. The length of the Lake is 8 km, the width is 2 km.
The depth is 7 m and in its south-eastern part it reaches 50 m.

The water is unusually clean, light and transparent.

What is the origin of its name. Some people think it came from the name of ancient root which meant “White Lake” and the others believe, that it has the Lithuanian origin and means “Morning”.
